Taking care of your friend at the end of his life is a very special thing. I did that for a girl friend for 3 months in 2014. It was hard. Almost no sleep. The people who showed up to help were angels. It was worth it, the experience of a life time, extremely spiritual. Namaste.
Maria you are so sweet to take good care of your friend and I know he appreciated it and you! I’m much younger than my husband and he is in his declining years as well and his only request has always been that he doesn’t want to go to a nursing home or a hospital. It’s difficult but I’m doing it on my own. I needed to hear this today because it’s been a particularly bad day. I tuned in to get some desert rose advice and ended up getting much needed life advice. Thank you for both! 🙏🏻❤️
You take loss like a champion Maria, God bless you Maria. Also thank you for teaching me about desert roses. I have 3 babies from seed I started and 1 older girl. It's not 3000 but it's more than 1.
Thank you for looking after your friend and giving him the dignity he wanted. I cared for my husband while he had cancer, and kept him home till he passed. I was an RN, so knew what needed to be done, and did his port flushing etc. Love your Desert Roses too... love learning from you!! I bought one that was dying and brought it home , repotted it and its now coming back to life and grwoing new leaves!! So excited to see that!! Thank you for all your knowledge!!
Doing things for those we love in times when death is approaching is a hard thing. It is a gift to be able to do that and keep them happy for as long as possible. On the adenium front, I live in Arizona and my adeniums are outside getting morning sun but it is just so hot. So I just lifted my adenium after 2 years (using your methods) and moved it to a slightly larger pot. It already has a tiny new shoot forming. My other species of adenium I also repotted and it how has 2 amazing new leaves!!!! With the continuing heat, they are now inside my sunroom settling in after the change. Your videos are so great!!!
you did amazing Maria, to look after your friend in his last hours. its difficult to do that. i did the same with my uncle this year but the whole family helped. your sadness for your friend but happiness that he passed peacefully. and now he return to the universe. you did a good job Maria!🌟

Death is hard but you did very well Maria. It’s a great thing when you are able to carry out a person’s final wishes. You are a strong person and an amazing, loyal friend. Very proud of you. 💕
Wow Maria! What an amazing friend you are to take on so much responsibility. That is not easy to do. Hospice only does so much as I found when helping my mother. I felt so inadequate not having any kind of medical knowledge. I guess you just have to have a strong will to do your best…as you did. Your energy that you always seem to have came in handy.
Sorry for your loss Maria. It’s so beautiful to have friends that will be there for you. You’re a very nice person. Keep doing what you are doing and stay safe💕👏🏻
Thank you Maria we miss you welcome back and I'm so sorry about your loss accept my condolence anyway I love your garden is beautiful and I still have to ask are you shipping any plans cuttings please let me know have a blessed day welcome back love you lady
Maria, GOD BLESS YOU! You are going straight to Heaven! Yes, your friend has passed, but his spirit is still watching over you. I had a friend retire from school. I was on medical sabatical. On the first day of school, I took her out for breakfast. We decided it was going to be our new tradition. I paid for breakfast, but she insisted to leave the tip. My friend had a heart attack during Christmas vacation. She was hospitalized and had to go to PT. Two months later, she was doing great. She was late for her PT appointment, so they called. No answer. They called her son and he found her passed away in her bed. Monday was the first day of school. On my walk, I found $2. That was her way of telling me she is still watching over me and to go out for breakfast. TIP WAS ON HER! Don't be sad! Your friend is in a better place. Celebrate his life and all the great times you had together. Hugs! Gerry HPEteacher PS: My Desert Roses in your mix are so healthy and happy. They are getting HUGE. The big one is starting to bloom again. Thank you for sharing all that you know to about Desert Roses to people like me who have no clue how to grow them!
I too HOPE to die in my home (in my sleep) Hate Hospital environments !! regarding Adeniums: you've given me the courage to go grab my plants like in an earthquake to stimulate roots. ha
María you are an angel to have taken care of your friend. You respected his wishes and he is smiling down from heaven for you. ❤️🙏
God keep you in his good graces 🙏🏽for what you did for your friend and do for us all. 😉💗💗💗

The big tree is a banana tree .
I did not think you should put them in pots that big when they are that small of trunk.
