A very useful collection of alternatives for " I don't know". It would be nice to use them so that our speech doesn't sound so poor. Thank you so much.
I have to say, that I learned a few decades ago, that I had the utmost respect for a doctor who would say..."I don't know", as opposed to thinking he HAD to have an answer when in fact...he really DIDN'T know. It's simple, it's succinct, it's honest. That's all I want from a doctor. It's dangerous to do otherwise.
Excellent video. Definitely it will help our grandchildren, also. Beautiful presentation in an accent which a native of other foreign country can easily understand. Thank you, Sir!
Thanks from Ukraine.I’ leaned English at school 50 years ago.Your video helps me to go through this terrible war and even teach children who lost their houses your wonderful language ,Оlga,Zaporlzhye

WOW! Amazing 😍 I needed just that. Praise God for UA-cam. Haaaaah! I learned in French and at home I don't speak English due to the fact I don't have any little ones....college students living with me.
Understand the word "Advance". I hate ppl reply with 'I don't know', without even thinking. A way to avoid a question. The tone and how you say it will have different meanings. Good to learn and know more .
You left out "God knows". That was my mom used to say, meaning not specifically that God knew, but rather that she didn't. Answers 10 and 11 are not really synonymous as they include a commitment to further action. Two things I learned in my career. Never claim knowledge or competency that you don't possess, or even that you do, if you don't want to be burdened with additional responsibility, and be very careful about commitments to further action.

Great! Although old you are much smart! But what about ''haven't'' before ''the foggiest'' and ''a clue''? Why not ''don't have''?

There is nothing wrong with "I don't know." Let English language remain simple, we should not make languages difficult.
🥴 I dunno... these were pretty simple examples that don't make the English language more difficult.
I use this phrase "I don't know" a lot. It sounds simple and kind of calmed me down a bit.

Agree absolutely. As to dunno... Lotta, kinda, gonna, wanna, outta ... All these words of informal Englih are in the same basket.
@@geffro1754 Lotta, wanna, gonna, kinda, outta... as well. Even "ain't" (of informal English) may be added to the list.
This is what I like in British english. The combination of accent and the formalities.
