How to remove Tar from a lampshade diy smokers damage mid Century repair

This is how to remove smokers tar damage from lampshades repair recycle.
Lamp shades are expensive and larger mid Century ones are mot made.
This is how I removed it
Please note this is plastic based shade not paper covered in fabric.
