It is in you as a person that the nature of God is revealed, for a scriptural episode is not a record of an historical event, but a parabolic revelation of truth. To see Jesus or David as an historical character is to see truth tempered to the weakness of your soul. You must see what the characters represent, rather than the characters themselves. This is true for every story in scripture, for every episode will unfold within you.
There are also several references to dishonest scales for the merchant but it applies to anyone who tries to cheat others out of anything. These are found in both the Old and New Testaments in references to simply giving others their due either in good or bad way. You're a pretty smart guy. I was wondering if you think this is a good supplementary argument for Petrine influence over Marks gospel and Matthean authorship of Matthew. I've never heard this argument before but it very well may have already been developed by a mind greater than my own. Skeptics argue that Matthew probably didn't write his gospel because he heavily depends on Mark, someone who never met Jesus when he himself was One of the twelve. But this argument could be used for Matthean authorship and Petrine influence over Mark. If Peter influenced Marks gospel then it would stand to reason that a disciple such as Matthew would have used the teachings and accounts of the most famous disciple within his gospel. Furthermore, Matthew isn't called by Jesus until Matthew 9, about 1/3 of a way through, thus allowing him to reasonably depend on earlier disciples such as Peter. And finally, despite both Matthew and Luke having some dependency on Mark, Matthew is able to expand much more than Luke does from the 16 chapters of Mark to the 28 chapters in his own gospel. This would be expected if he was relying on an earlier more famous disciple, all the while using his own testimony.

Love your work, Michael, but if I may, I think there's an error in your list of Mark-Malachi comparisons. There is no Malachi 3:22-23. The reference you probably meant is 4:5-6. As for the necessity to even debate these things, it's never mentioned by the skeptics how these supposed "errors" slipped past the "editors." On one hand they will claim the gospels were written down later than the first century, but on the other hand, ignore how this much time would have given the authors plenty of opportunity to "correct" any so-called errors. Another annoying thing is to hear, "Well, you've just got an answer for everything!" Well, imagine a prosecutor in a trial "accusing" an innocent party of "just having answers to everything." Of course! An innocent person WOULD have "answers" to everything! Great work, my friend! You are on my daily prayer list: "Humility, integrity, compassion, peace and rest from a busy schedule. On another note it doesn't contradict because in the palamite panentheist context, the universe and all creation by extension are animated and existent by the energies of God. Time and existence all depend on the energies of God to dictate. So from this, you can see that the omnipresence is dependent on God's energies. You shall not swear by my name falsely, and so profane the name of your God: I am the Lord. More so about the relations between men after stating about relationships with God(save “swear falsely”). Note in Mark, Jesus lists only the commandments having to do with men

"does revelation 19:11-14 contradict acts 1: 10-11?" a Muslim brought an apparent contradiction in the bible where the book of revelations contradicts the book of acts. in acts, it speaks of how Jesus ascended with 2 angels and how he would return the same way but revelations say hell return with clothes dripped in blood and on a horse. I'm Christian and personally don't know how to answer this. could you do a video or reply to this comment. either would mean the world man
I offer you this solution. Acts 1:10 specifically says the angels were standing among the disciples, not ascending with Jesus at that moment. They asked why they were looking into Heaven, then said that Jesus would return in the same manner they had seen him depart (that is, through the air). I argue that the Muslim did not read the text carefully.
Good as far as it goes, BUT IT'S BAD LEGAL REASONING. ANY CRIME IS A JOINT OPERATION OF CRIMINAL INTENT AND COMMISSION OF THE PROHIBITED ACT. COVETOUSNESS IS CRIMINAL INTENT, THE LEAST DAMAGING ACT SATISFYING PROOF IS FRAUD. Note the fraud doesn't need to be completed, you can also have attempted robbery, theft, murder, or adultery, BUT ONLY IF THE LAW SPELLS OUT THE SCIENTIER OF CRIMINAL INTENT. FOR EXAMPLE: in murder criminal intent, COVETING A LIFE, is MALICE AFORETHOUGHT. More generally criminal intent always intends to defraud, and more broadly can include CRIMINAL INTENT BY GROSS NEGLIGENCE, also called RECKLESS DISREGARD, and we see this in Malachi, et. al. Where the rich may either plan to defraud, or recklessly disregard the injury caused. WHY? THEY COVETED WHAT RIGHTFULLY BELONGED TO THEIR NEIGHBOR, payment at the end of the day, EVEN IF THEY INTEND TO PAY LATER, the crime turns on whether they knew they could not or would not pay as agreed. THEREFORE Jesus is exactly quoting the decalogue by using the word defraud, IT'S LEGALLY DYNAMICALLY EQUIVALENT. Ask yourself, HOW WOULD I IDENTIFY A COVETOUS MAN WHO COMMITS NO OTHER CRIME? Answer, FRAUD, and from there RES IPSA LOQUITUR.
We still have the original texts which were copied many times during the first and second century, so we have the same texts available then. There are very many translations and some can be misleading, yes, but if one learns the original languages of the bible (mostly biblical Hebrew and biblical Greek) then one can actually read the original bible. There are only minor difference which don't change the meaning. For example, in some copies it would say "the gospel of God" and in other copies "the gospel of the kingdom of God". It's referring to the same thing, the same gospel, so it doesn't matter much.
The culture has changed significantly as well. Think about how the meaning of words have changed in your lifetime. That is just one of the many ways things are becoming more obscure.

defrauding? man all my former bosses are going to hell
Do not hold back from someone who has shown to be doing those things that are not acceptable. To do so is another way to "defraud" them of what God intends.
Although that should be tempered with giving them a chance (70 x 7 chances) before judging them.

Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John were the titles given to word of mouth accounts collected and edited over the centuries by non eyewitnesses.

Random question: do you think God is omnipresent? I know it sounds like a dumb question but from your videos it seems like you don't believe that God is omnipresent... I always could be wrong though! Thanks!
He does, he is a weak panentheist aka a palamite panentheist (Eastern Orthodox Theology). Panentheists by default believe in the omnipresence of God.
@@ceasedesist9676 thanks but I was thinking that you didn't because in some of his videos he stated that God is outside of time so I was wondering does that contradict with omnipresence.
@@elijahd6936 Just in case if that's asking me, yes I am a weak panentheist too, I require God to be omnipresent.
On another note it doesn't contradict because in the palamite panentheist context, the universe and all creation by extension are animated and existent by the energies of God. Time and existence all depend on the energies of God to dictate. So from this, you can see that the omnipresence is dependent on God's energies. If time is merely the changes of creation, it would be correct to call God timeless as God transcends creation and could control its flow of time freely. But this is as general as I can get, I have more specific solutions pertaining to it.

I think jesus was gently with out just calling him out in public was pointing his crime out that he was guilty of. This makes sense with the merciful Jesus.
I wouldn’t say that. It is stated that Christ loved him after the rich man said he has kept all those since his youth. Jesus would’ve rebuked him for lying.
I would say Leviticus 19:13 because the Ten Commandments are recited before and after defraud is stated.
See here:
Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and you shall keep my Sabbaths: I am the Lord your God. 4 Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves any gods of cast metal: I am the Lord your God.
“When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted. It shall be eaten the same day you offer it or on the day after, and anything left over until the third day shall be burned up with fire. If it is eaten at all on the third day, it is tainted; it will not be accepted, and everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned what is holy to the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from his people.
Love Your Neighbor as Yourself
“When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, neither shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. And you shall not strip your vineyard bare, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the Lord your God.
“You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another. You shall not swear by my name falsely, and so profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.
More so about the relations between men after stating about relationships with God(save “swear falsely”). Note in Mark, Jesus lists only the commandments having to do with men
Correctly. It seems that sceptics are not that sceptic as they do not take everything into consideration. As they tend to take most of the verses out of context, it is proved just how they try to accuse Jesus and present him as mistaken. What a pity.

I have a question, What is your opinion on angels or demons?
What happened to the exodus video?
Jesus was right but bible with many translations during the years has been changed a lot
Uh so what
We still have the original texts which were copied many times during the first and second century, so we have the same texts available then.
@mysotiras12 The word anti-vaxxer is a prime example. Last year when the pandemic started you were a anti-vaxxer if you had concerns about vaccines and were opposed to them. Now if you believe that vaccine programs should be consensual and not government mandated, your a anti-vaxxer according to Merriam-Webster. This is hardly the only word that has been altered in recent history the list is too long. Gender, truth, happiness, science and tolerance are all far more important words that have been altered. I feel at times like I am almost like talking to Joe Biden.
@mysotiras12 What is actually happening isn't "natural" it's manipulative, political and authoritarian and it is a gigantic deal.
Why does the list of decalogue commandments go from VII to XIII ?
