I admire the gentleman who demoed the item that's a lot of work.
And you did one heck of a job demonstrating it.
I believe you're in great physical shape to go through all that that you just went through.
WOW
Rock Steady.....Long Minutes. Still something charming about this guy.
I have had the opportunity to try "Easyrig" and it's just what any camera man needs. It's just fantastic!!
I saw a movie production company using one of those during the shooting of Colm McCarthy's Outcast. I'd never seen one before and haven't seen one since. This is only the second time I've seen one. Thanks for the demo.
Those of yee who scoff at the EZ Rig or the little Bro Turtle X, have never had to hold an Alexa, XDCAM or the like for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week on a reality or total hand held show. I too said no way was I going to be seen with the goofy rig...until I tried a friends. I ordered one that day. That was almost 4 years ago. Now they are standard fair on major movies and TV shows. Trust me, this guy is a back saver and I expect this little guy to be the same. Try one before condemning. BTW, I am 71 and have been shooting since I was 20 and this rig has added years to me shooting life. No back problems and steady ass shots. So you detractors out there...suck it !
It works.
Shooting since you were 20? You must be knackered.
I'm sure this has been answered but you absolutely can use my statement. I live in Georgia and I do have a few photos if you wish.
At first I thought this video was a bit of satire, but then I realised that it could be a really useful device for some shoots.
Great video & product :)
This is a classic vid! Brings back memories
I love the spirit of this man. I wish more people would develop stuff like that.
Sure enough, times change but it takes ideas like that to change the world...
Well done, looking forward to your next invention ;)
this guy is a ledge!!! I spoke to a sky camerawoman who uses the large version of this for filming reality docs day and night and she swears by it for long term (as in 5 days a week, for years) camera work.
sir my hat goes off to you and I like any Inventer out there busting his gut to make the world a better place...one item at a time...btw...some of us geezers are indepted to you for ever...long live swedish smarts...
i saw this item being used at the European handball championship yesterday, thats what brought me here. so YES its being used.
but we dont see the footage of the shots and how smooth they are...
An entertaining promo. Script usually best off being learnt first but the realism of it in a strange way has drawn me in. Rather than loads of fancy effects and transitions, i am left with a comical memory behind a serious and useful looking product.
Thanks funny swedish man!
I need one of these, a brilliant idea for my new hobby as I'll be doing a lot of professional filming
I have used one, when I was filming all handheld for 7 hours straight. It was slimply a back/neck saver!
Does IKEA have this in stock?
this guy keeps suprising us with his tardis bag.
Fantastic product, and even more so: what a fantastic commercial! I love the enthusiasm and the cleverness. I real Swedish inventor guy! :)
The true beauty of this product will only be realized by prosumers that shoot live events with their HDV cameras. I just held an event back in february where i had a 3 person camera team filming. The guy closest to the stage could have used this over the course of the night to reduce arm strain and fatigue.
Is this concept going to revolutionize steadicam style shots.... no.
But it will be great for HDV event shooters.
Not a bad camera accesory.Especially for hikers/backpackers.Because you carry the camera and accesories like earphones(as the man stated).Hook up the camera
shoot then when your finished put it back in the Knack sack to go to another location.I think this has potential. How much is it and where can one buy it.
This is brilliant!! fantastic demonstration!!!
"I hope you have had a good day before seeing this video. My favorite part. 1:06
Looks like a great product. I hope you and Lars have been successful in selling it.
thankyou for this wonderful demonstration!!! yes, i want to 'have fun!'
nice! this would be real useful for getting news or documentary footage. very practical for long hours of backpack work.
Great demo! Thanks!
at first i thought this was ridiculous. Then after watching what it could do it's pretty useful.
Amazing. I mil get one of these.
Thank you
I like your magic steady bag man!
this model, maybe, but the arm is actually used in professional dp work. you use it in conjunction with a shoulder rig so your arms dont get as tired. in short, dis arm mit a shoulder rig makes rock steady for long minutes.
Saw this being used during Euro Vision here in Malmö, also what brought me here! :O
I just checked the footage I shot during the filming of Outcast.
It seems that they were using one of the larger versions of the EasyRig rather than the Turtle X... and I can definitely see the yellow EasyRig logo on the support arm.
I can see how this would be great while standing, but how does it do while walking?
my right ear died
A very unique and interesting product.A nicely made presentation also.good luck with your product.
Interesting rig. I do wonder about how strong that cable is though. I'm not sure I'd trust it with a six thousand dollar professional camera. But if the cable is built well, I'd try it.
I can clearly see the benefits, and think this is a great product ;=)
Very interesting, clever design!
To easyrig: Ignore the stupid comments. I must confess, my first reaction was 'what the hell is that!' but once I saw what it did and how well designed it was I was very impressed!!
What I think is causing some of the dumb comments is the quality of the presentation. The audio is pretty bad, and you dont have a pre prepared script to show the product off.
Also dont wear such dark colours against a dark backdrop with a dark t-shirt! We can really see the product.
Great product though
this is very handy... is it available to buy... and how much is it?? can u also to show the shooting footage
can you do gliding shots while walking with that thing, if yes it would have been nice seeing it in action
I love this product! It seems like it totally fills the DSLR niche. Just wondering how to hook it up to the DSLR.
This guy is amazing! Forget the product and watch him! Well, the product is very nice too...
"Make the wheel go round" For some reason that made me laugh.
Any chance of an underwater version for scuba diving ??? nice vid btw!! cheers.
I've an EZ Rig user for years but I love the adjustablilty of the new X rig. I'm wondering if some of those adjustment features can be retrofitted to the older bigger rigs?
Brilliant. How much for a professional one?
would of been nice to see some footage
"I hope you have had a good day before seeing this video..." Classic!
Very cool product but Johann really made me laugh at 6:37 where he breaks the (not very strong) table he is resting on... but he is so cool and casual, he gives it a quick look and continues. I must get one of these!!!
its a great bag i will love to buy it:) thanky you for shearing it!!!
Actually, while Aliens did use SC support, Kubrick used it to great effect in The Shining. When Jackie Torrence is riding his trike through the Overlook Hotel he was followed with a steady cam.
Hahah, there's not a chance in hell you'd catch me walking around with that on my back.
went to your web site. Can't figure out how much it cost or how to get one.
Thats cool, The back pack holds everything but a lens cap.
"I need my glasses. I turn over 40". I'm hearing you mate.
i like the turtle X thanks for upload this. next time double check with yr audio please.
"Turtle...turtle...turtle" - Dana Carvey in The Master of Disguise
This is a very cool bag!
very clever system, I like it, great video
we need to see an example vision ???.... i have a sony xdcam ex, larger heavier unit will this work ???
thanks
How about some close ups and better ligthing on the details.
Yes, it does look a little ridiculous, but so does any kind of camera support. The steadicam arm system only became 'cool' after it was used as a machinegun mount in the Aliens movie.
Where can I get one of these I need one for my new canon xf650
I think its pretty cool.. Good luck with everything. Also if you could put a footage it being used it would be great. Take care
a Kangaroo X by Easyrig when will come out ??
Could this rig be adapted for a Nikon D-90 using a 200-500 Nikon Zoom lens
Just a quick observation....black on black is still ...black.could not see what's he's doing with the tension thingy amajiggy in the backpack
It's the butler from Mr. Deeds! OMG I'm a big fan man.... Very sneaky!
Test shots?
How does he keep from hitting his head when he whips that thing on?
I would like to see a cip, made with this equipement
@MrIpratt what do you mean? Of course it will! All you need is an attatchment on it's center of gravity...
"I'll wear this at a shoot!" Said no one ever.
What if your camera doesn't have a handle on the top? Where do you attach it?
Why would you wear a black shirt when the backpack, straps and support rod are black? The result is everything blends together.
Ok, ok, so the backpack makes holding cameras easier and less tiresome, but how about some end results footage? You have the backpack, you have the camera, you have the ability to upload videos to UA-cam... Put it all together and how does the picture come out?
@BuckBrotherStudios it looks like SONY HDR FX1, around $2000 used.
@shot311 the point is fatigue and stability. There is no way you can hold a camera steady handheld as long as you can with an easyrig, and that's not a debate it's a fact.
WHERE TO BUY!!!! will like to use it!
my left ear enjoyed this
I love this guy!
i count stop laughing in the whole video, its the godfather of funny videos !@Tetrodioxide man ur comment added some flavor to it !
wats funny?
anuroop bs english speaks and swedish accent
Haha I am hosing myself it is so funny!
anuroop bs Well, it is a kind of artificial Jesus look with such crane above your head.
I dont even want to try it! There is no way to get that thing stable.
Wow my camera is swinging all the way. Intersting but don't even think to go out when strikes are out.
"i hope you have had a good day, before seeing this video!" lol!
They were all over the place at the 2012 olympics.
the best description i would give would be a "scientific voice" and "timing" that any professor would die to have.
I am just guessing but unless the support is height adjustable, not everyone can use.
maybe in future can test just how much tension the cable can take .
It would be thrilling if you transform it to a portable rock steady shower
I want to know how to work with Sony EX3 or F3, please .
It's not the "mono" that is the problem. The problem is that the audiotrack is peaking. It's simply set WAY too high and therefore distorts it. Change your sound guy.
Then the lighting. While it doesn't need a creative lighting, it sure would help if there was something there that could bring up those controls that right now are lost in the shadows. He points at it and we'll just have to hope that they are there.
And for all the talk of how steady it is. Where's the examples? I want to see...
I watched this till the end... too hilarious
the sound ...make me feel rare...
Where is test footage?
Why no test clip?
Que bueno!!. se pueden colgar salamines?
nice,,how much for the cost?
i think he is really funny like the grandad that ya never had lol
this guy is awesome.
Can a sony Ex3 fit into the bag
