In House of the Dragon season 2, episode 7, Rhaenyra Targaryen gains many new dragons and dragonriders to her side. Hugh will claim the dragon Vermithor, Ulf will claim the dragon Silverwing, and Rhaena Targaryen will follow Sheepstealer. Later in episode 7, Ulf and Silverwing will be chased by Aemond Targaryen and his dragon Vhagar when they fly over King’s Landing. Aemond sees them and chases them on his dragon all the way to Dragonstone. However, when Aemond sees Rhaenyra Targaryen’s dragon Syrax and Hugh’s dragon Vermithor at Dragonstone, he decides to retreat back to King’s Landing, as he stands no chance against the three dragons.
On top of that, in season 2, episode 7 of the Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, we will possibly see the most terrifying dragon, the wild dragon Cannibal. His victim, Silver Denys, is confirmed to appear in episode 7. In the book, Silver Denys is devoured by Cannibal during his attempt to claim a dragon.
That’s a House of the Dragon season 2, episode 7 preview about Rhaenyra’s many new dragons, Hugh claiming Vermithor, and Ulf claiming Silverwing, accompanied by all the leaked scenes and information we have for that episode, including Aemond chasing Ulf and Silverwing on Vhagar and retreating upon realizing that Rhaenyra’s Dragonstone is now full of dragons and dragonriders.

Aemond seeing Ulf fly on Silverwing and then chasing them on Vhagar only to see Rhaenyra and others with many others waiting at Dragonstone so he retreats is going to be such an epic moment
Why Aemond doesn’t still proceed to attack Silverwing, take it down while the other dragons are still on the ground, and then when outnumbered he could just fly it back

@@donteflon8877 If Vhagar were successful in killing Silverwing it is unlikely she would have escape unscathed. Ulf might be a novice dragon rider but Silverwing wouldn't have just taken it lying down. At such an outright attack the others would have given chase and attacked Aemond back in Kingslanding. Not only Aemond's life would be in danger but he would be endangering the others too.
Like come on, t's the same reason Aemond hasn't attacked yet. The same as to why Aegon is now a cripple and Rhaenyra is not. The same for why Daemon while being in Kingslanding himself sent blood and cheese to kill Aemond instead. People are just like "oh he should just go and kill them all" well, it's not so simple. The only realistic scenario where this could have happened successfully was when Rhaenys escaped the dragon pit with Maelys. Otherwise you have too many odds against you.
Daemon really gonna spend entire season in Harrenhal airbnb tripping off mushrooms, and then take Kings Landing in the season finale
I don''t object to it as much as many do. It's a clever way of giving him a redemption arc without ripping the canon apart and giving him some heroic deeds to do that he never did and would be out of character. But it has, perhaps, dragged a bit.

I think the Cannibal was a personification of the Targaryen downfall. He was black and green - the greens vs the blacks. He attacked and killed other dragons just as the Targaryens killed each other and the end of the Dance, he disappeared, signaling an end to their power and the magic they possessed over the dragons.

Good catch and a great comment mate!! There's a slight correction though. The cannibal was not green and black. He was totally black like a coal. The only green part was his eyes. The eyes were green in color. But still you can say it's green vs black! and your comment makes a lot of sense
The other Black Dragon in the story was Balerion. Who also was the representation of the Targaryen uprising. Shit went to storm when his last rider died, ending the greatness of their heritage. He was also infested with some danger noodles running inside him from his trip to Old Valyria. He died from the inside, just like the Targaryens.
There is going to be 17 dragons in total during House of the Dragon. By the end of it, none will survive. Man we are so in for a series of heartbreaking moments

Well it's more like a desperate action while they were losing any chance of winning the war. Ulf and Hugh served their purpose for a long time, letting them turn cloak was foreseeable and logic, but that actually just shows that desperate decisions can backfire any time. And George Martin's stories are filled with such shock moments. It's a little bit foreseeable but in my opinion not bad writing. Rhaenyra would have done anything to gain an advantage because before the dragonseeds she wasa dangerously in the defensive @@ifrankensteinsmonster

There's a lot of stuff that is stupid, but what I loved most was, that he can get shot down by two cartel members in front of the DEA building and one of them somehow had the time to look for his Axe, so that Hank would have enough time to reload his gun :D :D I still have to laugh about that

Vhagar was killed by caraxes who used an ambush, but vermithor got jumped by two dragons and killed both of them before he died, I think the bronze fury beats vhagar anytime

Alicent was wrong when she told Aegon that "simply wearing the crown does not give you wisdom." Bro was right about everything: 1. Considering smallfolk, 2. Securing Harrenhal before Daemon builds an army, 3. Securing Grover Tully's support after Lucerys' death, 4. Burning Gullet's blocade sooner, 5. Wanting a dragon to accompany Criston and Gwayne (they could've killed Moondancer and captured Baela). And STILL many people are saying he was a dumb king! It's a shame that the cannibal was too wild to be claimed. If someone had claimed him during the war, which ever side they fight on would have a major advantage.

I'm under the impression that Cannibal and Balerion are the parents of Dragons egg, which may be why it attacked the Targaryen Dragons as it would most likely be two dragon parents. It's possible that Balerion followed it's lover to Dragonstone.

Some people don’t even know the cannibal was apart the war in the books but mostly as a vulture that would show up after battles to feast on the dead soldiers, horses and dragons, only real fight we see him involved in is when he shows up to eat the bodies of several dead dragon seeds that got roasted when they tried claiming sheep stealer, cannibal and sheep stealer get into a brief confrontation but sheepstealer quickly submits and leaves letting cannibal eat the bodies and wounded people that weren't able to run away when cannibal showed up, other then that theres nothing regarding cannibal fighting any other dragons, only i can other thing i can think of is that the books mentioned a few dragon seeds may have set out to his lair to try and claim him but none returned to tell the tale but no one witnessed if that actually happened and was just a rumor.
Vermithor has to be the strongest dragon alive. Quicker and fiercer than Vhagar but almost as old and big but not too old to be slow.

I have been listening to Fire and Blood on audiobook at work over the last few days, I would love to have seen some of the earlier stories but what we got on screen is pretty good.
