One of the many reasons musicians need to goof around on performances, this is basically a complete picture in our head, James and the gang whipping out E1M1 riff out of nowhere and then laughing about it

I always thought the E1M1 riff sounded very inspired by the song Master of Puppets so I'm not surprised that hearing this sounds very natural, like one of Metallica's own songs. Props on your production too, the guitar/bass/drum tones really sound just like classic Metallica.
very inspired by the song Master of Puppets indeed, listening to this remix only amplifies that fact, scoured youtube sporadically for years for great VGM remixes and this is right up there with the best.
@@joshshrum2764 I knew for the longest time that it wasn't Master of Puppets, but I still joke about it being Master of Puppets based, it came off of the Chorus riff (or the part where he starts saying "No Remose, No Repent") for No Remose, both sounding simular to eachother.

I'm sure this has been said before, though the main riff of "At Doom's Gate" was actually taken from the chorus of Metallica's "No Remorse", though with that said - this is AWESOME!!! I actually liked this A LOT!! Great work, my man!!
All I hear is Master of Puppets... E1M1 was derived from No Remorse by Metallica, not MoP. Sonic Clang did a video on it years ago, the harmony guitar in E1M1 is almost note for note identical to No Remorse
For the very many of you that do not get the joke, kirk hammett can't play the lead part 😂
You could have replaced it with one of the five licks he knows how to play. Don't forget the wah-wah.
It's those damn notes in between
Lol i was just about to ask where he was but na good stuff dude.
This isn't the song DOOM ripped off, it was No Remorse which is much more similar sounding than Master of Puppets
