I guess I'll have to read this book to truly figure out how to fully forgive my father because I simply haven't been able to no matter how hard I try, no matter how many scriptures I read, and no matter how many times I say it. I do not want this bitterness in my heart and yet there it sits.
Better yet maybe, cue the Johnny Cash song Boy Named Sue. You see, he (my dad too) gave exactly what was likely received from his father. You received his love in a purely coded form. It's probably your job to break that chain. Love from the motivation not born in (FGS) fear, guilt or shame.
I have forgiven my husband's. And remind myself every time I remember an abuse. Jesus said Father forgive them for they do not know they're all lost. Jesus forgave all of his enemies. His last breath. Amazing. I Love him more than my selfishness and I hate my sin. Closer walk with thee Lord. It's like cleaning and washing me clean. A burden taken away and removes my Tired or lack of energy. He stores my energy with a new start. And making amends to others for my abuse I cause others also. I cannot hurt myself or others with anger. It only hurts me not anyone else. If I cannot make amends I pray and forgive anyway. The Lord reminds me also of my sin. I say yes Lord forgive me. I think he laughs and he knows me. No excuses he says.
Quite something to see this today, and even to hear them comment, at the end, that Keller's time left was precious. They probably couldn't have guessed that he would pass into glory a mere five months from this interview, but they knew it was drawing short. Still compelling to hear the grace and intelligence that Keller had so near the end.
Forgiving someone and trusting that person aren't the same thing. We just have to forgive, we don't have to trust someone who has violated boundaries and some way.
It’s really helpful to know you can keep your anger. The people that hurt me most were in a position of authority over me, and forgiving them, always felt threatening to my actual life. But I know I can just merely stop thinking about them, not hold them responsible, not seek return payment, but I can still be angry. That I can do.
What is never mentioned is that evil people are not sorry, they are not going to apologize. As a matter of fact they are proud of the evil things they do. Their life matters to them but yours doesn't.
I decided to forgive my husband again. But what do I do about repeated trust being broken with big lies. The anger isn’t the issue it is the trust in our relationship that is the problem. Every time we go through therapy or a marriage coarse and lots of promises are made. I just don’t know how to trust again.
@chantalr.s.a2535 I don’t know the details of your situation, but it’s worth considering if the relationship is salvageable, especially if there is repeated broken trust and biblical grounds for separation. Forgiveness doesn’t mean we have to trust someone. From experience, I’ve found it it easier to love and forgive when there is distance in the relationship (or potentially ending it).
what if i understand other but other dont understand me back. i mean if choose to understand my parents but how if my children dont understand me back. it kinda too mean. genorisity right
Hi, I know forgiveness is more for the offender than yourself, I forgive my ex boyfriend but what about reconciliation? What if the person threatened you with drug cartels for 6 years in a relationship? It’s scary to go back.
I doubt it. It's all formulaic and there's nothing original here. Again just an example of a person profiting off of religion here in the US. The US is the most Christian nation in the world. Monotheism is man-made.
Yes the closer relationship with our Savior the more He can cleanses our heart and renew our mind 🙌 He is able, willing, desiring relationship with Us to Show Us His Love And ALL That is TRUTH

Read or listen to "The Bait of Satan" by John Bevere. It's remarkable at getting to the root.
@@victoria.bermoyhe is a false teacher! DO NOT listen to any of his "teachings"....you cannot go from Tim to John, they are on 2 different levels.
I really miss Pastor Tim Keller.

'False God's can't forgive.' So true!
I need this to forgive so many in my life that I have cut off or others who cut me off. I will reference this through my journey of forgiveness
It's never loving to make it easy for someone to sin against you.

Wow ! Thank you for this beautiful gift of insight in biblical forgiveness. ❤
Thank you, I listened to both of Tim Keller's messages - powerful.
Made a huge difference and a huge impact on my life. Literally ❤ Many Blessings TK
Awesomeness part 2! 🙏❤️🙌
Healing for Tim Keller in Jesus name, I pray. Amen.🙌🌹🙏
Thank you so much for this interview: incredibly helpful and relevant.
Thank you!
Dr. Keller is so wise, and we are blessed to still have him.
Great interview also.
The saints will miss him
He is with the Saints right now, the church in heaven.
I often wonder how many times Jesus suffered from a broken heart because of our insensitivity.
Such wisdom…!!! He has been such a blessing in my life! Hard to think he is gone but is in glory!❤
Wonderful as we stand as bridges among differing cultures. Gratitude. Rest. Amen
Amazing commentary from Tim Keller. Thank you!
Forgiveness is an act of self denial! Luke 9:23 if any one would come after me he must …deny himself and follow me!
Brothers in CHRIST Amen.
Thank you for the interview. Hopefully there can be more such high quality interviews with Dr Keller in the near future❤
Unfortunately he passed away. Bless his heart. ❤
Yes. Thankful for you guys.
We are glad for God's grace. Glad for both the teaching ministries of :R.C.Sproul, and Tim Keller.
Bedside manner about the body
Great urgency about the eternal soul
POWERFUL....THANK YOU 💓
Can't wait to read the book - sounds interesting
I’m not taking revenge, but release it to the Righteous Judge Ecclesiasties 12:14, 2 Cor. 5:10, 1 Cor. 4:5, ……I believe this is true forgiveness
How do you work through the consequences if there is a trust issue involved?

What are you supposed to do if they won't apologize? What if I forgive and forgive and they continue to hurt you?
Love covers a multitude of sins. Love keeps no record of wrongs.

Now He is gone! What alegacy Keller has left!
So Tim Keller drinks Perrier, too. I always knew I was a man of excellent taste.
How do you ask for forgiveness when your apart of this cancel culture .
Hi,

Do not go back. Forgiving is one thing but it doesn’t mean you have to go back to a harmful situation for it to be possibly repeated.

Keller is a fraud and not a true believer. This post also reminds me to unsubscribe from the channel, which I've been meaning to do.
Whoa why??
