    And for all you people living outside Australia did you notice that Brianne never used the phrase "Throw another shrimp on the barby" that's because Australians never used that phrase and in any case, shrimp are called PRAWNS in Australia and as far as I know no one ever barbeques them. That line was from a USA tv commercial from 1984 promoting Australia with Paul Hogan starring in it..

      People do barbecue prawns but it's not super popular everywhere in Australia, actually a popular food in southern USA. Everything else you mentioned is spot on.

    Reckon comes from the verb to reckon - to establish by calculation. "What is your reckoning on the situation Smith?" translates into "Whaddya reckon knobhead?" Simple.

      @@Dev.85 wrong. There were only British mainly east London no other whites, Europeans etc. Later some Irish. Our accent comes from not educating ourselves properly and not respecting vowels. It sounds cockney to Americas but we have a different use of the glottal stop

    Woop Woop was a mill town southeast of Perth that came into existence in 1925, before being abandoned and sold for scrap in 1984. So now it really is in the middle of nowhere.

      @@ozita0 yeah us old geezas have heard them all. When i lived in China I had an Aussie mate and we used to stir up the Yanks by talking in Aussie slang and some rhyming slang. It was fun watching their reaction. My Chinese girlfriend also picked up a lot of it too and one Canadian friend commented about he was being told off by a diminutive Chinese girl speaking perfect Australian with a slight American accent! Fun times.

    okay so woop woop was actually a place which i didn't know, it doest exists any more because it was sold for scrap in 1984 and and came to existence 1925. it was a mil town southeast of perth.

    When i lived in China an Aussie mate and I used to be friends with an American teacher who was from New York. he loved listening to Garry and I discussing Australian football. As well as a fair bit of swearing there were idioms he loved.
