    Some DC lore
So Waylon Jones was Killer Croc, he was born with a disease that turned him into a reptilian and he was also super strong and lived in the sewers
Kirk Langstrom was a zoologist striving to give humans the abilities of bats but became a bat humanoid himself, in an alternate universe called Gods and Monsters he became Batman, but had vampiric abilities
Poison Ivy was a botanist but became an ecoterrorist and had the ability to control plant life empowered by The Green, a force in the DC Universe which controls plants
Ted Kord in the comics is the second Blue Beetle, there were 3 Blue Beetles; Dan Garrett from the Golden Age who in older continuities he gained abilities from a vitamin called Vitamin 2X but later on came across the Scarab, then when he died, Ted Kord became Blue Beetle but he didn’t use the Scarab and used mostly tech and was friends with Booster Gold, a showboating superhero from the 25th Century, the third Blue Beetle was Jaime Reyes, where he came in contact with the Scarab which is from a race called the Reach and gave him powered armor.
Dick Grayson was the first Robin, when he got older he became the hero Nightwing (which fun fact, Nightwing is an old alias first used by Superman when he and Jimmy Olsen were shrunk down in the Bottled City of Kandor, a city from Krypton that was bottled up by the Coluan supervillain Brainiac, and Jimmy became Flamebird, both Nightwing and Flamebird are names of avian species on Krypton)
Barbara Gordon was the second Batgirl after a woman named Bette Kane who goes by the name Flamebird now, and daughter of Jim Gordon, after she got her spine shot out by Joker she became the Oracle aiidng the all female team the Birds of Prey
Stephanie Brown was the hero Spoiler who combated her father Arthur Brown aka Cluemaster who was a former gameshow host, then she became a Robin and the fourth Batgirl after Cassandra Cain, and also was on Birds of Prey
Jason Todd was the second Robin who was notable for dying at the hands of Joker but later on got revived (by either the Lazarus Pit, a mystical pit owned by Ra’s al Ghaul, or by Superboy-Prime, a hero from Earth-Prime aka our reality, punching a hole in reality) and became the vigilante Red Hood and was at odds with Batman, Red Hood is also another old alias first used by the Joker in his early days before being the Joker
Charles McNider was the World War II superhero Doctor Mid-Nite, despite him being blind he adapted via using googles and was apart of the Justice Society of America, a group of superheroes who fought in World War II and the precursor to the Justice League, with the members consisting of Alan Scott (the first Green Lanten who used the mythical Starheart instead of a traditional GL Ring), Jay Garrick (the first Flash), Wesley Dodds (the Sandman), Al Pratt (the first Atom who had no powers but was a short man and very strong), and many others.

This is taking parts from a lot of Batman media
The one I noticed the most is the part with fear toxin, which reminds me of the ending of Batman Arkham Knight. Where Batman fakes his death and tries to resume his role as Batman by using Scarecrow's fear toxin instead of physically being Batman. Revealing himself as a ghost of the night to thugs in Gotham feeling safe that Batman is "dead". Even the chime for Arkham Asylum is the one from the first Arkham game. "Batman: Arkham Asylum". Which on it's own is a scary Batman game, that is pretty psychological and easily fits for Analog Horror.
Last bit that I like is that this somewhat surrounds the "mythos" of Batman, the fact that he is not seen as a hero or even a man to the people of Gotham. He is an urban legend, someone who is not human. A paranormal entity. Someone to fear in the dead of night.
That's a part of Batman I always loved, when he as a vigilante was still new in Gothem, he was seen as a myth or a monster.

i think DC should embrace the elseworlds set up, They can make original stories and takes of the characters while not labeling it as a cinematic universe. They can experiment on it a lot and take different themes. technically Joker and the batman didn't feel like superhero movies it just felt like the classic movies from the 70s where its focused on story rather than theatrics. I feel like DC is not playing their cards with this kinds of idea. They can make Movies with super hero characters and make it into character driven movies with different genres like noir, surrealism or even horror. I think DC should focus on making original stories instead of a cinematic universe. I would like to see a Martian manhunter with noir elements and take inspiration from the invasion of the body snatchers, the sign and even the thing into one movie. Alot of these movies would be experimental and low budget compared to the block buster and the good thing about this is that if it flops it wont be a big damage monetary wise for WB and they don't have to worry about making a sequel or a series unlike if a movie from a cinematic universe sucked it basically impacts everything. My point, DC needs to embrace original ideas and stray from comic book adaptations especially if they cant make a plan. The focus should be noir type or even pulp like. Tbh i DESPISE CINEMATIC UNIVERSES, i do like things to connect but not everything needs to nor do you need a cinematic universe for everything to connect.

The idea of the Batman just kidnapping his own Robin's who probably have families in this universe is genuinely terrifying.
The Robin's usually became Robin's because they don't have a family or home to return to and Is taken under the wing of Bruce to be a mentor figure because Bruce has felt the same pain of loosing his own family.
Now with this, this most likely implies that these kids still have families of their own, but was kidnapped by Bruce so he can have his own family.
And in the end of the video, the kids might have BECAME whatever Bruce is(a malnourishment bat mutant with a thirst for blood) or they were murdered by Bruce and buried underneath his estate and whenever he goes into his 'batcave' he might be hallucinating and talking to the dead bodies of the Robin's and the bat girls.
And I think the person who was sending out an SOS in the beginning might be Tim Drake( the third Robin) he's usually have been noted as the smartest Robin but not the strongest, this might imply that Tim is trying to talk his way out of the batcave from his captor the batman, who in this universe is possibly a serial killer and a master kidnapper.
If the story goes that route, its honestly just terrifying, because there's serial killers like Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and alot more in the 60s and 70s that had kidnapped random kids and teens locked them in a cellar and if they were no use, they'll just be buried under the killers house.
I think with Tim, it remains me of that movie black phone, where a kid was kidnapped and has to use a paywall phone in the wall in the basement to call the recently deceased victims to try to out smart the killer.
There's been many cases in real life where some kids and teens were capable enough to outsmart their captors.
And Jason Todd( whose my favorite Robin❤) usually in the DC universe is beated to death by the Joker with a crow bar. He literally dies and batman goes through an arch were he doesn't want to take in any more orphans because he felt guilty for not being able to protect one of his Robin's(adopted sons) but Jason comes back from the dead and literally has daddy issues because of Bruce😭😅
But I wonder if in this story, it's not the Joker that murdered Jason, but it was in fact the Batman. And when Jason comes back from the dead, I wonder if he would go APE SHIT on The Batman💀or if he would turn into a monster like Bruce. But there's also another possibility that Jason never comes back from the dead, and Bruce is just a massive serial killer that just took a bunch of innocent kids or run aways lives, and he's hallucinating about his life and his mentor role with his 'adoptive family' and is probably talking to a bunch of dead people in the batcave🙃🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇

Or the Ah-Ghoul Dynasty will be introduced later on and take Jason to the Lazarus Pit and if the Ah-Ghoul fam is gonna be introduced then that leaves the possibility of Damian coming into the universe which would be super interesting to see in this dark universe

    In the sense of drugs:
There was a Batman comic where he was getting a steroid like drug from some doctor (I cannot remember the name) to help him fight crime. Only Batman very quickly became addicted and only decided to break it when he was confronting the doctor, who threw the pills aside and Batman went after the pill. He proceeded to cut it off, cold turkey, by locking himself in the Batcave.
It was also known because Joker trapped Batman under debris, or in a locked room that was quickly flooding and offered a pill, knowing it was the only way for Batman to escape was to take the enhancement drug. If Batman refused, he would die. If Batman took the pill, he would have relapsed. Batman surpassed it by waiting for the water to rise to a significant level before using his own strength to free himself. As the water helped reduce the weight overall of the door.

Eh, sort of. That catchphrase was created during the Silver Age, when the Comics Code forced writers to depict superheroes more conservatively. In the Golden Age, Superman was far less patriotic and would often beat up cops, politicians, and lobbyists. The whole American Way thing was created to keep the Feds off of the DC writers' backs. Eventually, the motto got stopped being used when DC revamped their characters. Also, American Way doesn't make sense.

The negative multiverse is a concept that introduced the Batman Who Laughs and each Earth is coded with a negative number (Earth -11, for example, wich, if I'm not mistaken, is the Earth origin of the Batman Who Laughs). This thing of kidnapping kids kinda happened in the Batman Who Laughs story. And he turned all of them into Joker-like Robins. The negative multiverse shows stories where the Batman went rogue and became a twisted version of himself. Driven by blood and vengeance.

Sheesh! I almost forgot something too, the video stated that Bruce was on drugs, it's the 1960s and it kinda explains the whole batman thing in general.
If your on REALLY heavy drugs and unresolved trama and smoking some bat zaza in the batcave, of course you'll go so aboulty bonkers that you hallucinate your whole entire life and existence.
We usually only see batman's life through his own eyes( or at least at least other characters that follow the same narrative)
In one of the batman movies, he forced himself to stay in a cave full of bats to over come his fear of bats, the darkness and the isolation. Now if you try doing that when you're on insanely powerful drugs from the 60s, you'll definitely have a lot of screws loose in the head.
So how can you ever know if Bruce's story is even true? How do you figure out the world around you from a character whose perspective is most definitely wrapped or an illusion? And with the Joker movie, a reason why the Joker's sense of reality has gotten so messed up is because the medical institutions and state assistants for mental health was severely underfunded. The joker could've turned out more 'normal' or be able to navigate the world around him better if he had the chance to receive help.
Especially in the 60s, mental health was still not taken seriously, so alot of people didn't have a healthy way to recover from trauma, even therapy wasn't always available or wasn't even the most reliable source at the time.
So if you don't have a healthy way of recovering from past trauma, you'll most likely try using a different outlet to ease the pain and stress, and most of the times, especially in the 60s, you'll turn to drugs.
I wonder if in the 20 years that Bruce was in the batcave, he made a story arch that instead of kidnapping kids, he adopted them, gave them a home and became his family.
And no matter how grim the situation is in reality, inside of Bruce's mind, everything would seem comical, fantastical, and very silly, with the comedically large bombs, the super villains with extrodaly fashion, super powers and larger than life personalities.
Idk about you guys, but a man who 'adopted' multiple teens in skimppy uniforms, dressed up like a bat, beating the shit out of bad guys who is a persona of a greedy penguin and a red headed plant lady who can summon vines from her hands and chases an evil clown man that killed one of your 'adoptive' sons but then he came back to life because he found the Lazarus pit swiming pool sounds like an absolute drug trip to me😭
I think the Joker and Bruce both really need at least alittle bit of therapy👁👄👁

DC analog horror has potential. This one felt a bit paint-by-number and amateurish. So i was talking with Anxiety Z who also makes Batman analog horror videod about making a crossover with Siltrics version.
Anxiety Z has a series based on Batman 666,a comic series where Damian takes the mantle in an apocalyptic Gotham(personally my favourite version of Batman ever).
Anxiety has added his own spin and twists to it.
Now the reason this would be great is that Anxietys version protects children above all,Siltrics version killed children.
So i pitched this idea of Damian having to stop his fathers evil alternate universe self.
Anxiety replied with "Maybe...just maybe"(i was using my main account this my alt)
Now Damian who in his universe has lost his father early and his memory is a big part of that story would be a very good conflict to meet him again but in such a twisted version, and both being around the same age in this case as this is an early Bruce Wayne.
I am putting my money on Dame, due to being the same age in this case he unironically has a lot more experience since he started as a child and in Anxietys version he has faced some crazy supernatural stuff whereas Siltrics version is just some killer that kills prisoners and children.

  • @thedisturbingartist7224
    @thedisturbingartist7224 4 місяці тому +4

Lore accurate Batman would be just as scary. If you ever got a look at him, you would likely be a hired goon already shaken up from hearing rumors of a Bat-Man who attacks people in less populated areas of Gotham, which is where crimes are usually committed. You would be in a dark alley or a dimly lit warehouse loading up stolen or illegal goods, getting scared of any noise you hear around you and having paranoid delusions of shadows moving in the corner of your eye. If you ever saw the bat man in person, it would only be for a brief moment. Then you would wake up in the hospital with permanent, life altering injuries and an intense fear of the dark. The bat man could be hiding in any corner of your home that wasn't fully lit, and the next time you see him, he could be coming to finish the job.
Most goons would never know that the bat man was just a guy in a suit of black armor, only police officers and villains have had the relief of seeing him in lit areas for extended periods of time. Batman would prefer that they never found this out, because he uses fear as a way of defeating criminals before the fight even starts.

You know, I was thinking about analog horror on super heroes. And how that can be both easy to do but also tricky to work. I think the only one I came up with is Spider-Man suddenly turning. And we see him take out his foes in a more brutal fashion. Like say the Vulture fighting Spider-Man, he isn’t talking but we hear the villains POV. And then Spider-Man would damage the flight suit and we see a POV of a crash into the ground. Or the Rhino getting trapped and has no ventilation, and Spider-Man pours on so much heat that his face just starts to melt.

Most people pointed things you may have missed out, but I feel like I should add my own 2 cents to this discussion.
    * When The tapes state that it is possible the Bat is using drugs, it is possible that said drug could be Venom (Not the symbiote from Marvel comics, but a drug used by the supervillain Bane, which gives him inhuman strength, durability, and speed, [And in later adaptations, intelligence boosts] to improve his already peak human physique. Although most iterations portray venom users as becoming more larger and physically fit, some don't drastically alter that much, possibly explaining why the Bat is still described as skinny.
    * The coffins, as pointed out by some, do hold the "bat family," consisting of Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, Bat woman, and one/two others we have yet to encounter. It is also possible, like you said, they are dead, but it could also be in reference to the "Lazarus pit," a well/pool that is used by Batman villain Ra's Al Ghul to keep himself young, and energized, as it has the ability to restore sick and weakened bodies into peak performance and beyond, as well as make people immortal, though with the cost of mental sanity, driving untrained users to madness.
    * Superman actually premiered in Action Comics #1 in 1938, a year before the second World War broke out, and his creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, both Jewish immigrants who had fled persecution with their families, used him as a symbol of hope in a time it seemed to be lost. In fact, Superman was often cited as an American superhero, fighting for peace and justice for all people, before he eventually decided to renounce his citizenship and become someone who could help the whole world. It kinda makes sense he would side with America in WW2 with that in mind.
*Given what Lex Luthor has done in DC comics, it would make sense that not only would he be against superman from the start, but also kinda deserves it. (He once cured his sister of cancer, only to then give it back just to show he could. That's one of many things he's done)
On a side note: This series reminds me of some old quotes that apply here.
"Grief can make you a monster"- The Bat seems to have been completely taken by this, and if some of the other DC heroes come into play, this statement could apply to a lot of them, given how many usually tend to loose a loved one before they became a hero.
"No one is gone forever. Do not reveal their secrets."- Superheroes in general try to avoid revealing their identities, for a variety of reasons (Keep family safe, Avoid arrest from the government, keep others from manipulating their lives, etc), so it makes sense that these analog (SUPER) horror equivalents are willing to harm ANYONE to keep their identities and their goals secret.

So what I’m getting from this in a timeline is: Martha and Thomas dies, and Bruce goes bonkers, and has formed almost like a separate personality, which is Batman. He then eventually comes back, entering Arkham to find his parent’s killer.
He believes it’s Joker, goes in, killed everyone in his way, but couldn’t mentally kill him due to Bruce not wanting too.
Gordon is starting to get wind of this, and begins taking steps to stop him, causing Batman to take steps to intervene.
The video of Batman taking the kids, from what I can tell, is an attempt to make Robins and kill Criminals.
Batman has fully taken over by the time of the confessional, now having taken over as Bruce’s main personality.
The Missing Person broadcast is relating to The Kidnapping and Criminal Killing, listing different Bat Family Members (Nightwing, Batgirl, Spoiler, and Red Hood), before Batman takes the video over and reveals his corrupting abilities.
As I’m looking over this, I think it’s not even a personality anymore, I think he may be possessed. He’s malnourished but extremely powerful, can corrupt videos and people, and the imagery makes me think he made a deal with a demon while gone in the 20 years to avenge the death of his parents.
The Imagery between Superman and Batman in the comics kind of comes together to prove this for me a bit, Superman as an Angry God and Batman as a Demonic Creature of Vengeance.

26:47 to be honest, I would be confused here too, and not in the: ho that was confusing but also scary, I wanna find out what going on,
It was more like: i have no clue what was going on, and that took me right out of the scary bit, ho who am I kidding. That wasn’t scary at all, seriously what was that,

I haven't finished it yet, but my theory is that after his parents died, he becomes alike to batman, but instead of enforcing justice, he tries to turn it into an absolute, by killing anyone and anything that commits a crime, no matter how big the crime.
    (EDIT)
Ok, so I finished it, but my theory still stands. He kidnapped teens (if you recognize the names you'll see they're Robin's and Batgirl) and seems to call them "family". I still believe that he is doing this simply to make no crime an absolute, and or, kill anyone that commits or has committed a crime. Why he does this is most likely due to his parents death, it could be other reasons, but what I got from it is that his parents death put him into a depressive, sociopathic state, before he went missing and turned into "The Batman".

The missing kids were all sidekicks of Batman or bat family members. Richard Grayson was the first Robin, Jason Todd was the second (though interestingly Tim Drake and Damien Wayne aren't present), Barbara Gordon was Batgirl and later Oracle, and Stephanie Brown is Spoiler.

This is basically Brightburn which I just saw a few days ago when posting this comment. A horror version of the DC universe where the superheroes become evil and destroy society. Pretty much what some people think of the Snyderverse, The Boys, and Invincible where superheroes lose their way and destroy the worlds that they were trying to protect.

Also, I think what happened with the four kidnapped teens was that they might have been infected/ transformed like the Batman shown in the series.

I believe the four kids shown was in the cannon universe is Batman's side kicks, the first being Robin , the second Batgirl and the third and fourth being I think a replacement for the original Batgirl after she was wheelchair bound or maybe a different one all together. But I am pretty sure the last and fourth one was a replacement for Robin but was killed off in the cannon universe and then revived. I am kind of shaking on most of the Batman lore, but I think I might be right on most of what I written.
