    Nice video, as you know current evidence does not ‘endorse’ capsular pattern as diagnostic indicators. As per new guidelines, in terms of Ax, equal loss of active and passive ER and negative X-ray findings are the key indicators.

    Is there any other cause of frozen shoulder other than adhesive capsulitis? I believe my shoulder is frozen because of chronic pain from torn tendons and ligaments

    Will it be a appropriate to introduce some strengthening exercise during the frozen stage such lat pull, scapular retraction & ER/IR w/ resistance band? Or do just focus on manual therapy and stretching? Thank you. 🙏🏻

    • @ClinicalPhysio
      @ClinicalPhysio  Рік тому +1

      Absolutely Sarah! Since that video was released there is actually much more to come out about strengthening and how it might even be beneficial for the capsule!

    I had frozen shoulder in both shoulders., 3 yrs apart. My left shoulder had much worse pain and needed a steroid shot. Now 5 yrs later I have a broken radial head in my right elbow. I'm 60 now, so I believe the frozen shoulder syndrome is from menopause, hormones wacky and the tripping fall that broke my elbow is just from not paying attention. Either way, I'm tired of having to do physical therapy, but it's the only way to heal correctly.

    I injured my right shoulder in Sept 2021 and currently have this problem. MRI with Ortho shows no possible tears on the labrum or rotator cuff. It’s painful reaching for things, it feels like my biceps with tear, it’s extremely painful lifting my arm to the side. I have had a cortisone shot with no improvement pain and physical therapy for the past 8 months hasn’t improve mobility or pain. I have also developed a spasm of the shoulder which I call my Tourette shoulder. I am frustrated beyond believe!

      Well, I am a person who has been through difficult time because of shoulder, neck and arms plus chest Pain. Almost My entire upper body was in pain and was out of use due to injury while I was training with a very bad form. In short what I want to say is be careful with your mental health and not to get depressed because of the tough situation you are in don’t get frustrated and surly everything will pass.

    12-18 months recovery is very long. How one can accelerate the healing process?

    • @ClinicalPhysio
      @ClinicalPhysio  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Orex! That is the same question the medical world is still trying to answer today! As mentioned on the video, sometimes a procedure such as a hydrodilatation can reduce the thawing phase by speeding the process up but it doesnt change natural healing

    • @nebojsa1976

      Who knows, maybe rosehips. Maybe collagen powder. Maybe Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate. It seems to me this is inflammatory disorder so it should be focus on that, not too much on physical exercises but to heal it from inside through blood. Maybe Ultrasound that shakes the fibroid tissue off. Or one of these guns that are hitting your shoulder, who knows.

    If a patient is outside of the 40-60 age range but has diabetes or thyroid issues would you still consider frozen shoulder as a diagnosis or do these risk factors just increase the chances of someone within this age range developing frozen shoulder?

    • @ClinicalPhysio
      @ClinicalPhysio  Рік тому +1

      Good question! Answer is specifically in the 40-60 age range… if they are 70 but have thyroid and diabetes issues, they won’t have frozen shoulder because of the age. Hope that makes sense

    I thought frozen shoulder was when the half to quarter inch of cartilage in the joint disappears and Bone rubs on bone.

    If you have this. Go to a chiropractor, or have a strong person yank your arm down till you feel a pop. Trust me it will feel weird but it will start the healing process.
