Keaka is my son in law and I feel truly blissed that he's in my daughter and grandkids life.
He had a really good strong message about everyday problems. You control your attitude and instead of 'I have to go to work,' think of it as 'I get to go to work'.
I can vouch that he hates curry...hahaa

Uncle, you don’t know me but we met briefly in Venice Beach. I was a fresh college kid just moved up to the PNW from Hawaii and was in LA for Christmas break. I was super home sick over the mainland over the people etc. Anyways was walking through Venice and seen you Uncle in board shorts, barefoot, and one Da Hui hoodie, I was ecstatic to see one actual Kanaka/Uncle/moke in the mainland. I threw the Shaka and Uncle you when trip out because you was neva expecting to see one Kanaka there too. Was like we were Ohana the way we shake hands and embrace. We had one heart to heart conversation and you gave me solid life advice you told me do my thing in the mainland, get educated, play the game, get ahead BUT NEVA FORGET WHO I AM AND WHERE I CAME FROM! Always spread the Aloha nevamind the mainland mentalilty! You told me you were currently in one rough patch in your life but Aloha is what kept you going day to day. Mahalo Uncle for reminding me how to live life and glad to see you are on the better side of things! Mahalo ke Akua! 🤙🏽
