This movie made me feel it was made for me specifically 😂. My two favorite characters got some love in the form of two massive power ups. Especially Piccolo, it’s honestly been a damn travesty how he’s been second and third fiddle among the Z fighters for like a decade before this.

He tried so hard off camera and he was SSJ2 level at best. Gohan didn’t need that, bro trained for less than a year and became Goathan.
It would’ve been sick if Cell Max had absorbed the two androids and became Cell Beyond and we actually got the Perfect Cell version that would’ve taunted Gohan, I think that would’ve been a more fitting climax than just Cell being a mindless monster.
I actually liked him like this, it was a nice change of pace from the usual kind of villains and with Cell Max it feels like an urgent and actual threat because he isn't going to play games or do some evil speech or do any of that cliche villain stuff, if he survives here then it's basically over.

Ultimate Gohan was the form he took after having his potential unlocked by and training with Elder Kai which allowed him full use of his SSJ 2 power level while in his base "human" form, and is actually on par with SSJ Blue, so if we consider Ultimate Mode as his new base form Beast Mode would be the equivalent of his new SSJ form.
It may be a ultimate at max power and gohan tapping into his ozaru rage thats y vegeta stated him and broly seem to have the same beast ! His eyes are also red like ozaru And we know broly utilizes his ozaru power in ikari-fpssj transformations So if this is the case beast should be ultimate at max which since he is a saiyan he took on the ssj2 type transformation ….if this is a level above ultimate thennn him tapping into his ozaru rage pushes his power even further Giving us beast ! Gohan couldnt tap into his rage in ultimate nor control it he tried his best not to lose control Now he can control it to an extent which is how he awoken ozaru power Ultimate and beast is gohans new equivalent to ssj and ssj2 Add ozaru power Just like goku and vegeta equivalent of ssg and ssb Is ssj and ssj2 Add god ki They had to learn to control their god ki to awaken ssb Goku and vegeta mui and ultra forms Also took a certain mindstate Which broly naturally uses his ozaru rage without trying but couldnt control it at first but its a mind state thing Gohan couldnt naturally tap into his rage but in order to grow in power and utilize his form max potential he has to rage out and control it which is a mind state thing ! This movie was awesome. Dragon Ball has such a rich cast of characters that never get any screen time, and Piccolo is the best of them. They finally gave him his due, and paid respect to his role as Gohan's mentor. They showed that he believed in Gohan's potential and didn't want to see it go to waste. He solved a mystery that threatened the world while Goku and Vegeta were off circle-jerking each other off for the umpteenth time. He actually made a wish that I'm surprised everyone else in the Dragon Ball universe hasn't made yet, like the most obvious wish you could make when you have to sit on the sidelines as two guys save the universe over and over. They showed that Gohan never lost respect and secretly mastered Piccolo's signature move. To all the people in the comments calling this "the worst" and fawning over Broly, who fucking cares if there's a THIRD guy who looks exactly like the other two and does the same fucking shit? The climax of literally every story is oh now he's a Super Saiyan! OH this time he's a Super Duper Saiyan! WAIT now he's a Super Duper Blooper Saiyain! HOLD UP now he's a Super Duper Blooper Saiyan Angel! NOW he's a Super Duper Blooper Angel TWO! NOW he's a Super Duper Blooper Angel God Multiversal Omni Giant Purple People Eater! It really plays into how Gohan has learned. He, at first, reverted to his Saiyan bloodline, cocky, knowing he could end it there, but wanting to have some fun with the fight, but Piccolo, having known Gohan his whole life knew all he needed was a push in the right direction and he'd control it.

It was a case of the manga and studio not being on the same page. Pan wasn’t meant to fly UNTIL this movie which is lined up with the manga per Toriyama but the studio had different ideas and made her fly earlier than planned

What they should probably do is reveal that Cell Max was being powered by Imperfect Cell's tail, the one Android 16 ripped off, and the explosion makes the tail regenerate and evolve into a whole being.

People keep calling this movie mid, definitely not as high quality as broly and the writing is a little 😅😅 but i thoroughly enjoyed it, lots of slice of life moments that dragon ball already excels in. It looks pretty good, pacing feels a little rushed though. honestly this movie was really fun to watch and i often return to the fight scenes. Definitely not a mid movie

Cool now give Krillin his own power up. I think everyone agrees he should be able to use Kai o Ken. Also current Krillin could beat a lot of the old Z villains so while he is weak compared to the other z fighters, the dude is damn strong.

My guess is the new RR didnt find the blueprints for cells perfect form and assumed his second form was its strongest

@@RippahRooJizah OK. That's besides the point I think. It's a missed opportunity is the point. We barely saw much of beast Gohan other than a kick and special beam cannon. Would have rather seen a legit fight again a perfect cell type creature. Not a giant monster.
@@RodDubs I wouldn't call it a missed oppritunity, I think Cell Max was more or less a means to an end more than anything. Granted, perhaps using Cell Max for this purpose might have worked since someone like Hirudegarn needed more plot. I dunno.
And while Beast Gohan Blanco could have used more to do, I'm not against a kaiju fight on occasion.
