Tina, totally agree with you. My son and I visited Rome in 2019 and were looking forward to returning. Hope that happens soon. Tschuess aus Australien.
If I ever win the lottery I’m going back to Italy ,it was so beautiful then even in 1980s. I want to go back to Holland and Greece America too. Plus I’d need a cat sitter while I’m away l ok. These flight vids make me feel more relaxed knowing we passengers are in safe hands
My observation @15:30 exactly, the First Officer has the controls during the landing and the Captain seems to shake his head left right and back as if he is not pleased.
Hi thanks for the great video. I fly into Rome once or twice a year from Singapore on Singapore Airlines on their Airbus A350-900. Several years ago it was their hard working Boeing 777-200. Usually land on the far right runway closer to the coast while this video shows a landing on left runway that flies over the Autostrada and the Rome-Pisa railway line. You caught a train probably a Regionale going to Civitavecchia. Earlier noticed a great view of Civitavecchia, Rome's port with several cruise ships. Excellent work. Cheers
This is pure happiness....Hello JP! Love this vid....fantastic Airplane and views! Thanks for your work ....You connect the world JP;)) I send you warm greetings.....Betsy.
@@lawrenceforman6999 I think he meant Rome is the most historic city period. Not one of many that are mostly historic. English is obviously not his first language, so have a bit of empathy.
I went to Italy in late 80s and I want to go back. It’s was stunning then,if I hit the lottery I’d buy a villa there and go back to Holland, plus hopefully go to Greece. Time to put that lottery on tonight lol
I with they'd show the pilots actually landing the plane at the last part of the video instead of pointing the camera that way. It would have been a better experience if there was a camera pointed at the pilots at the same time as a camera pointed outside and a split view was displayed. Just an idea.
Norway, due to its close ties with EU, is part of the European Economic Area (EEA) and therefore the European Common Aviation Area (ECAA) which grants all airlines in that area all eight freedoms of air transport. SO any airline from any country in that area can fly from or between any airports in that area. So Norwegian could even offer domestic flights inside Italy.
Norwegian was flying from the USA to Norway, Sweden, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland... As a European airline I believe you can fly from any country in the EEC
I noticed that as well. The First Officer in the beginning was nowhere to be found the rest of the video and the Captain was on the right. I didn't notice if the person in the left seat had four bars or three.
sometimes there is a FO, and 2 captains because one of the captains is a training captain who oversees the captain and grades their performance. Idk if you noticed on the landing, the T/C was judgemental in his facial expressions, and the Captain flying was alittle tense

I miss Rome so much. The last time I flew there was 2019. Cannot wait to go back! 🇺🇸✈🇮🇹

I'm from Milan lolllzz
Same here, was in Italy for two months in late 2019.
Agreed!
very smooth landing. Love the refinement of input level the 87 has.

Probably for deviating left off the centreline. Still, that gesture is uncalled for.

Nice flight report.
Rome is one’s of mostly historic cities in the world 🌍
Sorry but l thing you are wrong, Rome is not one, Rome is the mostly.

I’m going on record that if I ever hit the lottery I’m moving to Italy.
Carlo same here if we win the lottery

haha not a bad decision
I miss that plane.. I use to work on it.. Norwegian;)
at 15:31 the pilot did not like the approach in the final short
Hopefully we will be allowed to visit very soon......
I wish i can set in pilot side and to see the beautiful views.
The views are amazing indeed
Incredible machine flown in it many times. The 47 (my old favorite) looks so dated compared to the 87.
The cockpit view out the window of the 787 it looks like the pilots are sitting up higher than older Boeing aircraft. Better view and control.
I love how it just auto taxes to the gate

13:03 they missed QNH 1015
👍

why is a norvegian company doing flight from USA to italy, shouldn't their flights from/to Oslo ?

Italian ATC and Air Italia pilots speaking English to each other as is the international standard. Now for the French to follow suit…

Yes, long flight operated by 2 Captains and 1 First Officer. First Officer was the relief pilot and was in each of the seats during the cruise.
You can tell the crew were tired by the number of repeat requests made in this video
👌🏻
👍
Darth Vader as pilot.
With the amount of talking the flight crew can do at the beginning of the video they could almost qualify for a fillabuster
Sad that this F/O is now unemployed and received nothing from Norwegian...
400,000 people lots jobs in the airlines in the past 12 months... hopefully many can get back to work soon!
With travel increasing, he should be recalled very soon.
Barb Nahoumi recalled to where ? norwegian long haul doesnt excist anymore :/
Fumicino is kind of far from Rome.
So is Milano.
40 minutes from the city center
Airports are sometimes far away from the cities but FCO serves the city of Rom.
:)👍
Thats not that bad. Look at how far Narita is from Tokyo...
Never been on.a.plane.

Noggie airlines no more :o
Noggie? Norwegian is flying at this time, no 787s but they are flying a fleet of 737s.
@@justplanes Shame they’re not around on the 787? Let’s see what comes of Norse Atlantic?
