You tuned to D standard. Every transcription I've seen is drop D. This is way better. Feels right this way. I learned it by ear myself years ago and never put any more thought into than I needed the D. Nice work with the pick too. Billy's guy has that really smooth and even up and down style on a lot of songs. I struggle with it a bit. Find it hard to keep it as smooth as you do for 4 minutes.
i have cold sweat when i hear it... when my friends asked me during a smoke break at work if i want to play bass in their cover band and i said yes even though i didn't even have bass or ever touched it and this song was on a playlist for the first concert in a few months... lol. that was the best learning and preparations time ever!=)))
It was competent, but using your fingers instead of a plectrum, & with a little more gain on the amp - or better still, overdriven with a pre-amp would have made that exceptional..
