Not all of the Belters dislike the Rocinante. Holden is known for being a brother to the Belt. He helped bring the Eros criminals to justice, avenged the Canterbury, aided refugees at Ganymede, the Roci has done a lot for the Belt.
Oh holy shit! I just watched the series the first time last week and now that you say that I can see it! I love all the little hidden things in this show and all the little call backs.
The 360 no scope is the best scene in the season. Everything from Bobbie's plan, to the simply beautiful visuals, to Marco getting railed (literally) in the ass by the Roci. Perfection.
They did a great job with that battle. I love how they kept the ship orientation after the pdcs hit. They hit the nose of the ship and when it cuts to the interior all the shots go from ceiling to floor as they should have. I was waiting for that moment all season 6 because it was such an epic moment in the books as well.
everyone calls it no scope but it really was absolutelly scoped.. the Roci is automatically firing when the Railgun is aligned with the target and compensated for the spinning .. Holden is not pushing a trigger but he inputs what he wants to target .. programs to autofire on positive firing position and quickly spins the ship also programed so the railgun points at the target during the circle.. In the book is Bobie the one doing it btw and it mentions using a program for it..
@@sparrowlt But 360 no scope sounds cooler. And I have finished the books. Really wished Bara Gaon and the "Lighthouse" could have been brought to live action.
See, this is Marco gatekeeping who's actually a belter. Again. They aren't good enough to deserve his protection, therefore he doesn't feel bad for abandoning them. It's also another example of how Marco steps back, tells a different story, steps back. It's never his fault when things go wrong, he always has a way to spin it so it's a win.
i'm sure somebody has mentioned prior and you're already aware but make sure not to miss out on the five ~five-minute shorts found under the 'x-ray' section of the episodes on Prime.
Remember that Bobbie Draper is a Marine Gunnery Seargent. As she told Avarsarela pilots take her places so she can kill people. In the books, the readers get to see the actual math that Bobbie uses to calculate how she was going to use torpedoes, PDCs, and the railgun to fake the Pella into position to take damage.
Every time I watch the scene where Filip confronts Marco ("You failed!"), I wonder how he was going to finish his sentence about Holden before Marco basically sent him to his room. "You wanted to kill the man who-" 'Who' what, Filip? Who's with Naomi is probably Marco's number one problem, and I would have loved to see him called out for that in front of the crew. Though they're probably all thinking it.
Filip knows Naomi is alive, Marco told him last season, not long after he found out. But he framed it like she was abandoning Filip again, rather than fighting to save her life and the lives of the Roci crew.
Marco's stripping Ceres would also work in terms of PR, he can blame the humanitarian crisis that would happen on Ceres could be blame on the Inners, eclipsing any narrative about his cowardice, thus galvanizing the belt. The bomb that blew the water tank would likely make sure that humanitarian crisis happens. Strategically, it's a good move. Morally, that's a really a dick move.
and indeed in the very next ep we see the station administrator claiming "We might never know who put the bombs" allready ingoring the obivious thruth out of convenience
in the books its 6 million but in the TV series the undersecretary says 1 million.. probably they dialed it down like they dialed Eros population down from 1.5M to 100K
well the Pella is a light cruiser and its escorted by 2 other ships .. so they do have a quite big advantage.. even 1 vs 1 the Roci is at a big disadvantage... had Marco kept a distance more outside the railgun range and the Lanicrus not being caught off guard like that the Roci would been overwhelmed by missiles.. she allready had lost 2 PDCs
iirc there is another big station in the belt in Fortuna.. Pallas was also a big one but was seriously damaged in attacks last season if not destroyed (As Pallas is really a spin station right next to the asteroid unlike the entire rock spinning to generate "gravity").. the thing is Ganymede is stil very much fucked and under reconstruction from the Ganymede incident in S2 so they cant take mass belters.. there is the jovian moons with stations on Europa and on Saturn in Titan too.. but nothing even remotelly capable of taking the population of Ceres.. it would easier to carry them to Mars .. Add to the mix that Earth is in its own heavy food crisis now and we have a perfect storm
Maybe Marco would've died as a martyr if they killed him, but at least it would've given Earth and Mars a brief reprieve. Plus, I doubt that the real reason Holden deactivated that nuke in the first place.
Holden and Bobbie have military xp.. Marco Inaros is just a self proclaimed captain of the Free Navy, no military xp what so ever. And the Roci exposed him. He may be good with plans and strategies.. but he does not have battlefield xp.
I think my general problem with the marco arco is that the narrative just hands marco a string of one nat 20 after another, to the point of feeling artificial. So many characters going out of their way to be either naive, stupid, or devious just so he can continue with his evil scheme. Like, he's got a reverse Murphy's law thing going for him, anything that can possibly go right for Marco, will. Maybe its because i always knew Marco's comeuppance would be a rock falling on him or something similarly unsarisfying, but after a certain point i just get sick of him and want to move on to more interesting things. Knowing this is the last season we'll ever get, and that its the final voyage for the og crew in any medium is very disappointing. Great acting, but the story just didn't get it done.
It did, the best atack against Earth was being made from S1 and decades made Marco happen, MCR also helped and it's not the first time Holden fucks up. Also, the crew is lucky af, the villains aren't supposed to be lucky? Idk bro, the writing was great, what it needed was more filler, some nice conversations there between the sadness.

The real realization is when you notice that the "dogs" have the same shape as the robot that Miller used on Ilus.

If you guys didn’t notice Captain Kirino, the Martian Captain who saved everyone in 3x5 Triple Point was also in this episode!
I loved that they brought her back, was gutted with what happened to her

Rana's pencil topper....HAHA. The episode reaction was great, guys!!
i'm sure somebody has mentioned prior and you're already aware but make sure not to miss out on the five ~five-minute shorts found under the 'x-ray' section of the episodes on Prime.
Blind wave reacted to those, you guys should definitely try if you're able!
Marco told Filip that Naomi survived in, “Winnipesaukee.”
26:31 When Rana says "Stop it", the dog thought it was being yelled at!

This is an incredible final season for the greatest sci-fi series of all time.
Greatest sci-fi series of all time is DARK

Well yes but no.
The greatest scifi series of all time is still Babylon 5.

I just peeped that Rana has a pp shaped pencil topper. Lmfao.

So is no one going to talk about Rana's pencil? 21:25
Rana said " two girls one ship" Dirty mind lol 😂
20:44 made me spit water on my keyboard
Just remember Ceres has a population in the millions. Ceres is something like 75% of the population of the belt.
in the books its 6 million but in the TV series the undersecretary says 1 million.. probably they dialed it down like they dialed Eros population down from 1.5M to 100K
You guys are missing the bonus scenes on Prime, look for the xrays

Rana ~ 2022
This episode was soooooo good, the excitement was through the roof during that fight.
inaros and roci encounter was nice but i was too distracted by rana's pen
the inverted seating situation on the couch is breaking my brain
All this time and Suraj still calls him Marcos 🤣
"Keon Alexander witty twitter itensifies"
marco got humiliated here lol
They're playing FOOTBALL in space, my dude!
They real football, played with food.
Rana's pen wtf
"It's just a frigate"

Other than forgetting Tycho Station - well done.
Rana…fine belter self
The man standing over Zan is the clue to what happened. He’s the cart driver who almost hit Cara in the last episode.
The bonus scenes... y'all are missing the bonus scenes :(

Keon Alexander as KHAN!!!!
Rana sporting the Chuck's is a LOOK!

Just shows that Holden is wrong sometimes. Love that, but wish he got a good beating from Amos or Bobbie, lol
How have you guys not done Battle Star Galactica yet?
Holden does not recognize the utilitarian philosophy that is the core of the Belter ethos, which is how Naomi lives.
