I watched this concert live at st.davids hall 20 plus years ago one of the most memorable concerts for me ..a lot of the pianists today are to flamboyant and play at break neck speed but cecil was perfectly in unison with the orchestra I left the concert in dream like state it was perfection to me 😚
I was there at St.davids Hall to watch Cecil she played this perfectly most pianists rush through the 3rd movement but she played it just right ...I'm 57 now think I was there bout age 30...Great days in cardiff
After your comment on Argerich' s studio recording, I immediately search for this video. I have to say that it thrills me a lot, though without any kind of humour, which this music kind of flirts with humour, or better Russian "salt and pepper". Thanks to share on UA-cam this pianist. She is awesome. p.s I don't like Prokofiev Third Concerto, it's to much ado about nothing, except the three last 3 minutes. Also, Argerich is not my favourite pianist but she was the reason I listen to Prokofiev.
charmeueueur too much ado about nothing..really ?...i find it similar in some ways to Rachmaninoff rhapsody on a theme of paganini it's so refreshing perfect example of piano and orchestra complementing one another those deep dream like chords and broad strings get a me every time but each to his own I guess
Possibly the best performance I've ever heard. Soloist and orchestra playing as one.

Absolutely fantastic! perfect unisono with the orchestra
i had the pleasure of hearing ms. ousset in concert twice in the late 90's, before she retired. what an experience!
A staggering performance! Never once does she lose the clarity and primeval rhythm. Why is Cecile Ousset not better known??
Brava Ousset! What a great pianist!!
Cecile Ousset joue avec charisme personalite!
