Winning is important, but more crucial is the never-say-die mentality. We need this collective mental strength to see us through this season.
Credit where it's due, Maupay done well when he came on, think playing behind Beto in attack will benefit him a lot.
He looked really good withdrawn with his back to goal.
Have to say he has remained strong and determined despite slow start to Everton career.

Man he was the fastest player in serie A, like search the gol he made 2 years ago in Lazio-Udinese 4-4....a beast in running!in Carabo got League Two defense, i am curious to see him vs Premier League defenses. I hope him a great impact in Everton, such a nice guy and deserves everything. We'll miss him in Udine.

Although they started awfully, there is potential in this team with new players that have been there no time at all but already making great contributions. Young has already found his place in the team. Beto needed less than 45 mins.

Another thriller against the Villa, in the 3rd round of the cup, only this time we're having it. Don't be expecting the same team to turn up Villa fans, nothing personal, I love the Villa, but our lads in Royal Blue have a score to settle.

@@jame7188 yes against Donny, also in all of the pre-season games & in the Prem so far. I'm an official member so I not only listen to every game (born in the 70's so I love to listen to sports) then I watch all of the highlights and the full 90' replay of the match. I spent over 4x hours watching, re-watching and studying the lads performances in the Villa game. Just got back from a sailing trip so about to do the same regarding the Wolves match. Keep the faith mate, go back & watch the full 90' highlights & you'll see the chances that we had & be able to see that those games were winable if we had Beto alone back then COYB NSNO UTFT

Not once did we man mark the guy on the edge of the box on corners, we didn’t learn from the first chance they got and we could/should have gotten punished for it but we were lucky. Thank god for the two players that scored cause it was looking bad for us the whole game
Beto proved he can take stick from a hostile home crowd and still score and silence them.
Beto’s positioning was fantastic. The header was truly class.
Can't wait to see Beto partner Calvert Lewin upfront when he's finally injury free in 2030.

Everton really needed a Goal Scorer, Beto looked interesting, fluffed a few chances, but kept trying and got his goal and was unlucky his header hit the post. Pickford needs to chill and stop getting so wound up.

Yeah thanks, pretty confident the new lads will give us a decent season, especially Beto, he's an absolute unit. As long as we can keep out the relegation zone, I'll be happy. My heart can't take another scare like last season 😂

Well I watched it live last night and could hear the Evertonians well before we scored, and keep in mind that it was away for us too, so ofc you're gonna hear the home fans more when they outnumbered us by like 3-1
