You guys look like you have such a grand time going fishing together. It's really hard to tell if Ladin is trying to be comical or if it's just the way he's wired / fishes; he sure does lose a lot of hooked trout 😅. I look forward to your next video; good stuff 😇
Its all about line control when you are fishing Keep your line in control and you will not have so much slack in your line when setting the hook.Cast and then get line in control by stripping the slack out and then if a fish strikes you just have to raise your arm to shoulder height to set the hook.If you have all that slack you are trying to set the hook like you were behind your back and that is a hard thing to do. Love your videos thanks
I am not totally sure but we have caught browns from there upstream quite a bit and downstream from there we have caught Browns although not as many. So I think they are in most of the system at least from St. Regis upstream.
Lots of fun. Thanks guys
I grew up in Missoula fishing that same stretch of river. Fun video to watch! Thank you!!
Ive only fished the Clark Fork upstream from Missoula. Is that stretch downstream from town?
@@garyrafferty7625 Kelly island is basically on the west end of town which would be downstream.

There you go Steve... Ladin... youre never too old to learn!
Where's all the big fish??? One would think this river would be full of 20 to 30 inch trout. 10 to 14 inch fish all day long. Still looks like fun.
We like to save all the big fish for everyone else!
As a MT guide , I see you fish a lot of same spots as me. Subscribed!
Nice stuff. I have never caught a brown there...are they only in certain sections?
