Because if they had been out of action for a few years by 1985/86, wouldn't of their record contract have expired by then??

Great music by the Four Tops. Levi Stubbs was very underated because of so much talent coming out the motor city. Levi had numerous chances to go solo but to his credit he would never leave his childhood friends. He was one of the rare ones because most front men left the groups to go solo. Except I don't remember any drama around them, no feuds or ODs. Levi was a gentleman not a villian (hello Diana) so where's the movie. Of course the soundtrack is great.

This is all about the music, but the video is really a great add-on for this live performance (even though it was lip-synced.) 🎶☮🎼

Absolutely! And I think a big reason for that is because everybody in the group understood their personal talents and understood the unique talent of their lead singer. Instead of griping about singing leads like so many other groups did, it seems the the other 3 Tops were happy to support Levi on the background. They called him “The Captain”, and their ship never sank.
This happened sometime back in the 80's. I was listening to an oldies station and a song came on that I didn't like. They have been playing this song a lot. So I shouted out: 'Why do they keep playing the same old songs'? I pushed the button on by car radio to change the station and It's the Same old Song was playing.
