Wow ! I love how your work seems to reveal one thing (flowers) then transforms into to some very different. The work of a true artist.
I tend to change what I'm doing as I work if I'm not happy with the look. This was looking too predictable so changed it up.
Genius! I'd love to get inside an artist like this head to see what she thinks and sees and she paints this beautiful work. How I'd love some of that creativity.

Karen, I think this is my all time favorite right above the lily pond paintings, but I love them all- basically your style. You are my favorite artist to watch. I wish I had just a tough of your talent but my paintings never come close to your style. I love the layers and the glazing and the muted colors you use. I asked you once about how you achieve the effects, and you said to make sure to let the layers dry. But I rarely see when you might stop for a bit to have it dry. It seems you paint continuously. How long does it take for one painting?
Thanks for the comment, Jackie. There is a lot of editing in each of the videos taking out the breaks, of course. I really don't know how long each takes. While a layer is drying on one painting I work on another or two. The most obvious clue to a break is when you see a different shirt color, a different day.

What do you add to the Golden Fluid Acrylics to make the colors so soft? Also, I know your husband makes your canvases but can you tell us
what the texture is - smooth, rough or in-between?
