It’s the fact that a Ferrari f80 is 4 million dollars and is a v6 why get that when you could buy a Bugatti Chiron ss for literally the same price except that’s way more innovative and way more emotionally engaging in every way than the f80?
@@ericship8383 if you want innovation get a Rimac Nivera. The allocation alone for Ferrari F80 now is 6 million and being sold by a dealership. The best thing about car community is that you and like minded people are complaining while they other side billionaires are finding ways to buy two.
People calling it a V6 are not car people. If you know anything about ferrari as a brand you'd know that Enzo ferrari named The Dino after his son who died. The Dino was there first V6.
It’s overpriced for what it is 4 million dollars for a v6 when you can buy a Chiron supersport with a w16 for the same price and that car is way more engaging to drive not to mention the quality of Bugatti blows Ferrari outta the water
Nobody doubts that the V6 Ferrari is using is an incredible engine and that the F80 will have jaw dropping performance. It’s the idea that people think the flagship Ferrari should have a V12 because it’s more extravagant and dramatic to drive. People are annoyed at how the push for performance has made cars less exciting
Kind of this, people that keep simping saying "iT wOn Le MaNs ThO" are missing the point of an ultimate series car, not to mention as you said, the 296, which looks and sounds pretty good, already has said V6 motor in it. An ultimate ferrari should have a much more exotic motor put into it.

the video has good points and bad points. The good points are when you state facts to counter the misconceptions. The bad points are when you take opinions and treat them as bot comments *Design:* W1 and F80 look worse than their predecessors and arguably on an objective standard too. *_The W1_* has very little line synergy and too many broken up elements, the sizeable black trim isn't helping either. The only elements I like are the longtail dynamic wing and the Mclaren emblem looking side intake which could've looked better if the rest of the car had better design flow. *_The F80_* doesn't have the sharp look of the Enzo and Laferrari, and again, same design flow issues as the W1, they also no longer use round taillights, but as opposed to the W1, it can look appealing if you view at it as an F40 successor minus the design flow breakups, rather than an Enzo and Laferrari successor. *Powertrain:* I don't have complaints about the *_McLaren W1,_* although I think more could've been done in weight reduction. But for the *_Ferrari F80,_* even though the V6 is from their LMH racecar, it's still a V6 when competitors had V8s and soon Aston Martin with Valkyrie V12, and the fact that their flagship hypercar has a V6 when the SF90 has a V8 and their SUV has a N/A V12 paints bad optics and a worse image on the F80. I would've given more leeway if the V6 was from their F1 car like the AMG One. Not only does it not look like a Ferrari apex hypercar, it does not have an engine to match the price and lineage. In ways, it carries the same burden as the V6 Ford GT
On paper, the F80 sounds slow, underpowered, and unrealistic with a V6. But its actually a fantastic car, like yeah, its weird for the hypercar to have a V6 and the SUV to have a V12, but the V6 is from an LMP car put into a road car! But, the only part I don't like is that black stripe on the front, otherwise I think its a beautiful car with lots of Ferrari design heritage like the F40 and Enzo.
It’s still overpriced for what it is the Bugatti Chiron ss is more limited with a better engine yet somehow the Ferrari costs the same as the Bugatti 😂
@@ericship8383Comparing a track car to a top speed caris dumb. people who buy hypercars buy the one they like more, not the one that's faster. at the end of the day they all give you the same concussion when you floor it.
The problem with the f80 is that that the w1 is better in almost every way (expect 0-100 and 0-200 (kph) Ferrari: 1200hp, 1679 kg and 1000kg downforce | Mclaren: 1275hp, 1399kg and 1200kg downforce. AND the ferrari costs over 1mil more and it has literally no engine sound from the outside. I personally think that it actually doesnt look bad but if i am buying a hypercar i want it to at least have some sound.
The main complaint is the price/performance. That price you should have something else. If it's same price like SF90 or 12 cylinders then fine but 4 million? They're asking Bugatti Koenigsegg price for upgraded SF90.
F80 actually has more downforce. At 250kph W1 has around 800kg and F80 has 1000kg. F80 has AWD, fully active Multimatic suspension(W1 has only passive-active) and much wider tires than the W1. Do you remember, how SF90XX got beaten by GT Black Series on Hockenheim, mostly beacuse Mercedes had wider tires? Narrow tires were good on the Senna, beacuse it was quitel light, but W1 weights more than 1.5 t with all the fluids. Tires are going to overheat. Yes, F80 weights more and has slightly less horsepower, but 918 was also much heavier and less powerful than P1 and LaFerrari. 918 ended up beating McLaren and Ferrari. Now, the difference between AWD car and RWD car was cut in half. Ferrari's V6 has no sound? That's not surprising, considering that it had driven on a super dump track with all the water being kicked up from under the wheels. McLaren played W1's V8 sound on its launch and it's definetly not the best 8 cylinder engine put on a car. It had a strange "whine"? sound. If you are choosing between F80 and W1, engine is not a crucial aspect. (If W1 had also driven on such a wet track, then it would have been barely driveable.)
I wouldn't pay attention to all the hate bc after like 4 or 5 years, they'll all be loved by everyone again... me personally I did kind of agree to the whole V12 SUV and V6 hypercar thing, but knowing it's continuing the legacy of fitting a race car engine in the flagship hypercar makes the V6 soundtrack understandable
No for what it is 4 million dollars is overpriced you can get something that’s actually worth it like the Bugatti Chiron ss that car blows this f80 outta the water the difference between Bugatti and Ferrari is night and day
Car community summary $100,000-$200,000 for a Nissan V6 ✅ $300,000 for the Ford Mustang GTD ✅ $1,000,000 for the modern Ford GT V6 which is made in Canada ✅ $4,000,000 for a Ferrari V6 made with high quality and performance ❌
all those cars are overpriced the problem is the Ferrari costs the same price as a Bugatti Chiron supersport when the Chiron ss is more limited, has a better engine, and better quality why would you buy the f80 that’s objectively a worse car than the Bugatti?
@ericship8383 right, I agree. The thing is Bugatti is one of the most exclusive brands in the world. Ferrari is known for their racing technology in their street cars and their formula legacy. Obviously a Bugatti has higher standards than a Ferrari, but when it comes to price you are buying the legacy, not the vehicle itself because higher class vehicles are known to be “works of art”. When you get in the seat of a Bugatti or a Ferrari you are stepping into the legacy of Enzo and Ettore. As for the price it’s just reserved for the millionaires 🤷 but other than that everything is changing and brands just have to adapt
Thats the problem, you guys dont know they spent waayyyy to much money with skunkworks on that part, now the car is 80 percent functional (perfomance) and design language is dead (20 percent) according to a friend of mine.
It having a lemans engine is irrelevant you’re never gonna see these being tracked on a daily basis this is why a lot of owners prefer the v12 because of the emotional engagement even James may from the original top gear said that cars that chase only lap times have been ruined and he isn’t wrong

They don’t understand that more cylinders doesn’t mean it’s better😭. On top of that, Ferrari is a race team first, car company second so it would make sense to use a v6 which is being used in WEC and F1.
It's not necessarily the number of cylinders, it's the configuration. All horizontally opposed engines (not calling them boxers), inline sixes, and V12 engines are intrinsically balanced. The others, including an I4 and V8, are not fully balanced and require additional items that have mass and rotating mass. However, for a supersport motorcycle (lookin at you Yami, Triumph and Ducati), inline 4 cylinders ARE better than inline 3 and twins.
hahaha so smart. u clearly have not invested much time thinking about the whole topic. a hypercar has to be good at atleast 1 thing. Its either design and emotion, acceleration and top speed or track times. the F80 achieved none of that. Its engine is not emotional. Not in the slightest. A V6 twin turbo with 900 hp that sounds like a vacuum cleaner. On the side we have the Valkyrie with a N/A V12 pumping out 1000 hp. Despite that, the Valkyrie is 200kg lighter then the F80. It's yet another 4.0 TTV8 from McLaren but priced like a hypercar, and it was a perfect opportunity for McLaren to use the Solus V10 and gain big points against Ferrari, but they didn't.
Idk much about the WEC rules but people need to understand that in WEC the hypercar regulations (LMH), a production version of the car must be made or at least the powertrain must be put into a production vehicle. I could be wrong.
The thing is that the 499P's engine is similar to the 296's already, so they met homologation already. Ferrari didn't have to make this car, but they chose to anyway. And yet people are still complaining...🙄

The problem isn't a V6. This V6 comes straight from Le Mans winning race car. But the problem is, that Ferrari is making their engines smaller and Ferraris are known for their V8s and V12s.
@01iverQueen "the problem isn't a V6" then states exactly how the V6 is an issue. Don't contradict you're own statement 💀. At least you doubled down when replying.
@TheBlackJac well yes and no. So here, "double down" on that with your cringy emojis
@01iverQueen this how I know you know nothing about cars and just follow what people say. 1. Ferraris ARE known for their v6 engines. Been making it ever since the 50s. So what you talking bout? 2. A trend? Where? Better for the environment? Yea because a smaller engine that still produces gas makes it better 💀💀 please. They make V6 engines simply because of its superior performance compared to a V12 engine, better weight distribution, and tuning ability. Oh and guess what. A V6 can reach a higher power density per liter compared to a V12. You clearly don't know what you talkin bout. Do you research and understand why cars are the way they are and why companies make certain engines for certain reasons before talking bout some "its a V6".

Totally agree with you. These cars are beautiful, but making a huge investment without a proper financial plan can be risky. I also work with Stephanie Janis Stiefel, and she really helped me stay grounded when I was eyeing a McLaren. She’s practical, knows the market, and just gets the big picture.
Good point! I know people jump in headfirst with luxury buys, especially with cars like these. Stephanie’s advice kept me from overextending myself, which is priceless when you’re eyeing something that’s more than just a car, it’s a financial commitment
Thanks for the heads-up. I was actually thinking about getting an exotic car myself, maybe a Ferrari or a Bentley, but I was unsure if it was the right move right now. The thing is, if you're gonna have a 3 million dollar exotic car, it needs to have an exotic engine. Yes that v6 is better than the v12. That doesn't really matter because the whole point of these cars is exclusively, even down to the engine. Not to mention the sound you get from a v6 doesn't compare to the sound you get in a v12 or at least a v8. The Daytona sp3 should have been the f80
This is why I watch your videos bro, unique opinions, no unwarranted hate, and low key funny, also I did actually grab a sandwich before the video started
In this video you do a whole lot of generalization instead of giving valid and constructive criticism. I'm open to new cars. I loved the G8X's when they were released and the front end was a huge reason why. I loved the W1 the moment I saw it's release on Car and Driver. I even love the design of the F80. I'm a huge fan of Ferrari (The LaFerrari is my dream car and to me the most beautiful car ever created period.) and I understand that the engine they put in the F80 is the same one they use in their LeMans car that won Lemans. However, this isn't enough to justify giving your SUV a V12 and your four-million-dollar flagship hypercar a V6. A hypercar has to meet multiple different criteria to be considered a hypercar. Sound is one of them (It's why I didn't write off the 296 when it was released. Ferrari is right, it is "piccolo V12". It sounds AMAZING.). Exhiliration is one of them. Performance is also one of them but it doesn't make up everythingg. The F80 just doesn't do it for me. It's way too quiet, the interior is bullshit and is going to age horribly. I mean come on, "The first-ever single-seater for two occupants."? WTF!? How are you going to make me pay 4 million+ for a car that can sit two but doesn't have a second seat!? I'm not alone in this. I went to my Ferrari dealership recently and spoke to an owner that was there for his 812 Comp delivery and even he said the same thing. So many car collectors on Instagram share the same sentiment as well so the "he who cannot afford said product has an invalid opinion on said product" argument doesn't work here. And even though the F80 will probably outperform most newly released hypercars on the track, It doesn't even matter because most owners won't track it. Next time you disagree with people about something, instead of calling them out for their opinion you can make an argument for yours instead of just saying they're sheep when both sides have valid arguments.

F80, without that stupid black stripe (i dont what "homage" they are trying to do, it doesnt match up with the rest of the cars lines at all, its just...there)would be a pretty good looking car, i think it would have worked better as a successor to the 296/sf90

2:56 deep down I knew this was it, based of the 499P LMH, and I am a huge fanboy of racing, that’s why I actually loved the F80, successor to the LaFerrari, continuing the F series of Ferrari, and based off an *actual race car they themselves made to compete in WEC*
My problem with the v6 isn’t the fact that it’s a V6. It’s just what it’s in. I don’t really care if it’s from a Camry or anything like that (which it’s not.) because those are good engines. In a car that costs 4 million dollars I feel that the screaming V12 is just part of the draw of a car like that. The sound of it made it twice as savage than it already was. And a car like that is just missing something with a V6 like that. It just is sort of lost on me. I’m a firm believer that any engine can sound good (yes even those “filthy” 4 bangers.) But a screaming v12 is hard to beat.

Performance wise its obviously top teir, the problem is the SOUL of the car, if you own a car with soul or have been in one you know what im talking about, hearing a great v8 v10 or v12 sing will ALWAYS put a smile on your face, hearing a b58 or this engine just sounds like a toilet flushing or a vacuum, fast asf no doubt but no depth
Ignore the NPCs. I personally don't like the new V6, and i understand it's a high-performance engine, but that's about it. At this point, Ferrari is chasing numbers. So, regardless of how amazingly performing the car is, it'll always have something missing. Sometimes its not about numbers, it's about tradition.
The biggest problem and this is not exclusive to the car community But lately the extremists on either ends of arguments are getting more vocal and more stubborn Like this for example New car comes out and people hate it because it’s new But then there’s also the group that don’t listen to actual criticism because they just see it as new car hate It’s like the whole Jdm vs muscle arguments that used to exist at on Facebook but even worse and so much more cringy sometimes if that’s even possible Ive seen so much constructive criticism for modern vehicles get called wrong because “oh you’re just hating cause it’s new “ and then an equal amount of love for a new car that gets met with “oh you just like new things” Then to make it even worse, there’s now even parts of the car community that fight against a “fake” group of people Best example of this is this super massive extreme hate for anything close to being “purist” that some people will now call you a fake car guy and a disgusting purist because you don’t treat your car like absolute garbage Like there are now genuinely people who think whistlin diesel is more of a car guy than jay leno because jay leno doesn’t purposely destroy his own cars for attention. I wish that was a joke but I have seen multiple people say that It won’t be hard for you to now find people who with literally any car will say “oh no I don’t like it because it’s stock” and it’ll be even more common to see people who will see a very clean and well cared for car and say “oh it’s a garage queen and must never get driven, it’s sad to see cool cars die” meanwhile it’s sitting on higher mileage than the commenters mother Just yesterday I saw someone say that the reason why no one knows about the beetle rsi because purists overhated it… where the fuck is the logic in that, not only are vw purists the only ones keeping the existing rsi’s alive and where did you get the idea that purists hate a special edition beetle when purists are like the only group who care about special editions It’s gotten so bad that even I with my really ratty looking s13 that’s very clearly not oem, have been called a purist because I’m putting a lot of effort into making it not look like a piece of of shit What’s worse is this is making it significantly harder for new people to join the community, yeah new cars being a lot less friendly to enthusiasts but also because the community is so so divided and extremist. Add in the whole clout chaser mindset and we’re now left with a community that just hates itself
Well the Ferrari costs the same as a Bugatti Chiron ss with a w16 that makes 1600 hp though in reality makes 1700+ horsepower not to mention the Bugatti has 15x less units made than the f80 the Ferrari is literally overpriced
@@ericship8383Unts made has no relevance. that increases peoples chance of having an interesting car. the V6 makes only a little less power compared to the W16 while weighing far less, not to mention the F80 can actually turn. @@thatguy-ee4lgEeexxactly. Buggati being overly complex while getting outdone buy a company that uses mustang engines. the meat riding is almost pathetic.
Well, in this day and age, aero counts for a lot. Having the best engine around doesn't mean much if other, less powerful cars can win races thanks to their aerodynamic design. You can talk about your engines all you want. But in a race, it's not the only thing that matters. Otherwise, we'd be seeing Williams and Sauber winning races all the time in F1, given the engine they use.
The fact that the F80 used the Le Mans winning V6 is similar to the 918 using the same V8 from the LMP2 Spyder RS. The previous Holy Trinity's engines had something bound to their brands' achievements. Just because it's a V6 that *does not* mean it sucks. If Nissan makes a hypercar with their 3.8L 6 cylinder the community'd likely to glaze it to oblivion.
i once spoke with a friend about this so I will just recycle what I said: hyper cars are about performance, luxury, looks and most importantly(imho) theatre. They celebrate what engineering, art and passion can achieve.
People are so quick to hate on V6s like they're weak, but honestly, they’re some of the most versatile engines out there. They're compact, easy to work on, and some of them sound incredible. Not to mention, a well-tuned V6 can make some serious power, especially compared to the big, heavy V8s that people seem to think automatically mean ‘fast’. Funny how people will worship a GTR for its V6 but then turn around and hate on a Mustang for the same thing. Power’s not all about displacement
Ad someone who makes car designs and what goes into it, I wanna start off with the W1: Proportions are off, design doesn't feel as special or "hyper car-ish" enough for what it is. Love the interior, hate the rear wing design and mechanical aspect. Just feels gimmicky and out of place, I feel like it should be more integrated with the rest of the body. I feel like they should've taken more inspiration from the 765lt and P1 and added unique details to that to make it feel more special and follow the lineage plus their recent design language. Now onto the F80: At first glance, it is too blocky and edgy, straying too far from their design language to be ss recognizable as a Ferrari. The black stripe on the front is bold and references 80s ferrari models but it's our of place in modern era. Again, love the unique interior. I'd also would've wanted to see more references to the F40 like the rear wing or body lines. Rear end is okay, reminds me on the 812. Now the V6 I'm torn, Ferrari has always been known for their V12s, but I see why they'd put their Lemans engine into a road car.
i dont even mind the w1, its a great car tbh with great features but the problem is the f80, its kinda underwhelming with respect to the McLaren, i get the fact that the v6 is better and all and im all for modernisation of engines and all but it looks garbage compared to the LaFerrari, that car is wayy to beautiful to be compared to the F80 (also the fact that v12s that we've heard just sound wayyy better), i hope yall agree as well
No, we should be shaming such engine downsizing, which is only being done for futile environmental reasons (futile as so little of these hyper and sports cars will actually be produced to the point where if they had fuel guzzling V12s nothing would be affected). Otherwise, eventually all engines will be 4 cylinders, and we'll have lost the beautiful variety of engine layouts and types we had. And yes, we should continue to be annoyed at the reduction of manuals as they are really one of the best gearboxes for driver engagement. Or you can continue supporting the companies which are, time and time again, less interested in making cars for enthusiasts and more interested in making a car to win some award.
@3:27 tell me what they ain’t like about Tourbillon, T.50, or new Zenvo Aurora(s) RB17, Nilu27 and many more, enthusiasts even like cars like Mcmurtry Spéirling and Nevera which is also showing the testament of what electric propulsion can do, But for me these McLaren and Ferrari successors aint’ got that sauce which everyone waiting for and the fact that F80 is nearly twice the price with what McLaren has put in their W1 is unreal
Never liked the P1's looks, Absolutely love everything about the W1. Always loved LaFerrari, not too sure about the F80's looks or 1+1 seating arrangement. I am interested in all the chassis tech though.
thank you for making this video. People in the comments of new car reveals always think they'll get validation for hating every new car for some damn reason.
I honestly felt like I was losing my mind. Ferrari managed to extract 900HP out of a damn V6 and pair it with electric motors for one of the most technologically advanced powertrains in modern motoring and all people have to say is "It's just a V6"
Bro was only stating facts the whole way through. Honestly the W1 is a great looking car, only thing I find a bit questionable is the hood scoop but besides from that its a very nice looking car. The F80 is another pretty decent looking car overal decent, that black strip is quite on the meh side, the rear, questionable as he said. This is a first time actually hearing someone who thinks like me in the car community. Earned another subscriber. Thought it was only just me who thought like this frfr 🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥 facts!!!
when the W1 came out, i admit, i didnt love it, but i also didnt hate it, but when the F80 came out i saw that car and i fell in love, i love the F80 sm and i hope ill be able to at least see 1 one day
The problem with them is that people have much higher expectations for the newer cars, and secondly the difference between the enzo and the la ferrari wasn't that big, but it made the car look much better (at least for me), but this sudden change of everything changed the identity of the cars, but 1200HP is really good, but people got mad over the V6, it's not a bad engine, but for this car it should be a V12 because that's what people want this days, if it's a v10 with 700 HP, it's better than a V6 with 1200HP, the original is much better, but the new cars aren't bad either
Since when smaller engine with more power is bad, most race cars don’t go above 6 cylinders, f1-6, wrc- 4, group b 1985- 5 in audi rest had 4, LMH-6. Secondly, stupid kids that say hybrid is bad don’t understand how power is produced by the engine and how power increases with rpm, F1- hybrid, Wrc- hybrid, if it makes hypercar faster than it belongs in the car. And talking about design, it will grow in, for me those car designs are okey, but compared to gt 3 they might seem bit behind, but it’s looks, subjective am I right.
i find it ironic how the same people saying "the car community is dying! we need to take a stand against anything electric in cars!" are the ones who are really killing the car community
McLaren W1 is just a piece of art and the engine is pretty good tbh, same goes for the F80 but the design of the F80 still throws me off, and (hot take) i personally think that Hybrids are way WAY better than stand alone engines, because you get the instant torque of the batteries and you still got the engine to go upto the speeds and feed your ego (not applicable on the new BMW's, they are just boat and looks like some Chinese manufactured designed it)
About the manual talk, i think theres a difference between OWNING a manual car, and KNOWING how to drive a manual If im looking for performance, i would be taking an automatic, or a semi, but knowing how to drive a manual car is just a primary need
The problem with the car community, as well as any other community online, is that it is RIDDLED with kids. Think about it, who has the time to spend their whole existence online other than them? They obviously outnumber us that those "v6? Ugh" comments are the proof.
i think f80 its even better than the w1 cuz the f80 its the representation of the racing side of ferrari in a single car, made by the f1 and WEC engineers, with a authentic racing engine and systems, the black stipe its like a representation of the modern ferrari style (in my opinion) and the interior was made to make you feel that you're on a racing car but like a LMH, the idea was to make the best race car experience on a street car, and i think they did it succesfully. i cant think of a better sucesor for the laFerrari, la ferrari was like pure ferrari, and f80 is pure ferrari racing
I loved essentially everything about the W1. I was admittedly unsure about the F80 due to the V6, but being reminded of the fact that said V6 was derrived from Ferrari's Le Mans hypercar, that uncertainty is out the window.
Thank you! I’m actually really annoyed with the hate just because it’s a V6. The same people that have something to say have a V6 Camry or Mustang at home. These companies are going light weight with big power. Innovation is ok.
Bro, you nailed it. One thing that I took a long time to do was to look at cars objectively, as in, if they do well what they were built to do. The F80'S design is subjective, not everyone's gona like it, I get that; but when I heard about the engine, I was shocked. A 3.0L V6 from a LeMans car!? That makes 900 horsepower alone?! That's 300 hp/L. Imagine your mom's 1.0L crapbox making 300 horsepower; as a Brazilian, I can't even dream of seeing cars with these numbers! And let's be honest, it's not the V6 itself that is a problem. The Nissan GTR overstayed its welcome and only had a 90 hp increase over 17 years; the 2017 Ford GT had a V6 (which I admit, I wasn't a fan of until I saw videos of it driving around the track); the AMG One has an F1 V6 which just recently got a new Nurburgring lap record; and my favorite V6 ever, the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti, revving to 12000 rpm. V6s have their strong points too, you just gotta know how to use them. People really need to stop thinking that 0-60 is everything, that top speed is everything or that more cylinders is "more better" yadda yadda yadda. We've gotten to a point where 400 hp is child's play or laughed at, instead of analysing what the car can do.
People are clowning about the Ferrari’s V6 from a v12 AND thinking “because it has more cylinders its mor hp” BUT BRO THERES AN INLINE 4 THAT OUTPUTS 1400BHP+
I can understand why they would want to make the cars more futuristic looking but they could definitely do better, especially in the interior of the Ferrari F-80.
This is one of your best videos. Hybrids can be amazing. EV's have their points, but I still can't warm up to them. But your main point is really important- you can't make a snap judgment on one or two preconceptions or details. While I prefer driving a manual, some cars work better with a well made dual clutch or other fast auto transmission. Some cars are literally too fast to be shifted manually. Cylinder numbers and other shortcuts just don't work. Both Toyota and Koenigsegg have designed amazing three cylinder engines. I have even heard four cylinder engines that sounded really good. Okay, maybe not the one in my FK8, but the Fiat Abarth, the original VW R32 are impressive sounding. Of course. for that muscle car ground shaking rumble you do need a V8. I laugh at hypocritical car noise ordinances. Pretty much every motorcycle around is louder and more raucous than any car on the road.

*Design:* W1 and F80 look worse than their predecessors and arguably on an objective standard too.

If you compare it with other AWD hybrids, then the numbers sound impressive.
I’m pretty sure the Ferrari has more down force

They don’t understand that more cylinders doesn’t mean it’s better😭. On top of that, Ferrari is a race team first, car company second so it would make sense to use a v6 which is being used in WEC and F1.
THISSS 👆.
It's not necessarily the number of cylinders, it's the configuration. All horizontally opposed engines (not calling them boxers), inline sixes, and V12 engines are intrinsically balanced. The others, including an I4 and V8, are not fully balanced and require additional items that have mass and rotating mass.
However, for a supersport motorcycle (lookin at you Yami, Triumph and Ducati), inline 4 cylinders ARE better than inline 3 and twins.
hahaha so smart.
u clearly have not invested much time thinking about the whole topic.

the F80 achieved none of that.

Idk much about the WEC rules but people need to understand that in WEC the hypercar regulations (LMH), a production version of the car must be made or at least the powertrain must be put into a production vehicle. I could be wrong.

I personally really like the W1, but I don't like the F80. the big black bar up front really ruins the whole thing, and it's way too angular and aggressive yet almost rectangular, it's weird. To me, the new 296GTB or whatever it's called looks so much better
The problem isn't a V6. This V6 comes straight from Le Mans winning race car. But the problem is, that Ferrari is making their engines smaller and Ferraris are known for their V8s and V12s.
So in other words. The problem is that it's a V6 💀💀
@TheBlackJac yeah and?
@01iverQueen "the problem isn't a V6" then states exactly how the V6 is an issue. Don't contradict you're own statement 💀. At least you doubled down when replying.
@TheBlackJac well yes and no. If you weren't this short sighted you would realize that V6 itself would have been ok, if:
1) Ferraris were mostly known for their v6, which they are not
2) it wasn't a trend to make smaller engines, "fOr ThE eNvIrOnMeNt", which we know changes nothing for the climate.
Is it a Lego or a car?
Ferrari: Yes

Fantastic video! It’s exciting to see all these exotic cars up close. But I’d recommend that anyone thinking about getting one of these luxury cars should consult a financial advisor first, it’s a massive investment. I’ve been working with a great advisor, Stephanie Janis Stiefel, for years. She has a stellar track record, both in helping me grow my investments and with the right financial planning when I considered getting a luxury car. If anyone’s considering a high-value purchase, she’s someone you should check out. You can find her online pretty easily
I know this lady you just mentioned. Stephanie Janis Stiefel is a portfolio manager and investment advisor. She gained recognition as an employee of neuberger berman; a renowned investor she is. Stephanie Janis Stiefel has demonstrated expertise in investment strategies and has been involved in managing portfolios and providing guidance to clients.
I’ve also been working with Stephanie Janis Stiefel for a couple of years, and she’s helped me make smarter choices, especially with bigger purchases like my Aston Martin.
We don't care if it's from a lemans engine car! all we care about is sound on hyper cars! Point blank period

I'm glad someone finally said it. The community, like a lot of the internet just regurgitates what the "popular opinion" is. The W1 is a great car.
f80 looks retro

@@averywebb1179 so essentially your saying your extremely bias and hypocritical when you talk about price of these vehicles. It doesn’t matter what the engine is their over priced no matter how you look at it.
The biggest problem and this is not exclusive to the car community
But lately the extremists on either ends of arguments are getting more vocal and more stubborn
Like this for example
New car comes out and people hate it because it’s new
But then there’s also the group that don’t listen to actual criticism because they just see it as new car hate
It’s like the whole Jdm vs muscle arguments that used to exist at on Facebook but even worse and so much more cringy sometimes if that’s even possible
Ive seen so much constructive criticism for modern vehicles get called wrong because “oh you’re just hating cause it’s new “ and then an equal amount of love for a new car that gets met with “oh you just like new things”
Then to make it even worse, there’s now even parts of the car community that fight against a “fake” group of people
Best example of this is this super massive extreme hate for anything close to being “purist” that some people will now call you a fake car guy and a disgusting purist because you don’t treat your car like absolute garbage
Like there are now genuinely people who think whistlin diesel is more of a car guy than jay leno because jay leno doesn’t purposely destroy his own cars for attention. I wish that was a joke but I have seen multiple people say that
It won’t be hard for you to now find people who with literally any car will say “oh no I don’t like it because it’s stock” and it’ll be even more common to see people who will see a very clean and well cared for car and say “oh it’s a garage queen and must never get driven, it’s sad to see cool cars die” meanwhile it’s sitting on higher mileage than the commenters mother
Just yesterday I saw someone say that the reason why no one knows about the beetle rsi because purists overhated it… where the fuck is the logic in that, not only are vw purists the only ones keeping the existing rsi’s alive and where did you get the idea that purists hate a special edition beetle when purists are like the only group who care about special editions
It’s gotten so bad that even I with my really ratty looking s13 that’s very clearly not oem, have been called a purist because I’m putting a lot of effort into making it not look like a piece of of shit
What’s worse is this is making it significantly harder for new people to join the community, yeah new cars being a lot less friendly to enthusiasts but also because the community is so so divided and extremist. Add in the whole clout chaser mindset and we’re now left with a community that just hates itself
It's like they think moar cylinders=moar power

Then three, more aero Fords took first through third place, and if I recall; two of his cars had engine failures.
Idc the F80 is ugly AF. W1 isn't ugly but P1> W1 no diff

Yup the grill at the back make it look like the f40
The fact that the F80 used the Le Mans winning V6 is similar to the 918 using the same V8 from the LMP2 Spyder RS.
The previous Holy Trinity's engines had something bound to their brands' achievements. Just because it's a V6 that *does not* mean it sucks. If Nissan makes a hypercar with their 3.8L 6 cylinder the community'd likely to glaze it to oblivion.
2:59 i thought it was common sense for people to understand that Ferrari puts race car engine's Into road legal hypercars/supercars!?!?!
So the la Ferraris engine was from where? What you just said is false, they use f1 inspired technology the LARGE MAJORITY of the time.
i once spoke with a friend about this so I will just recycle what I said: hyper cars are about performance, luxury, looks and most importantly(imho) theatre. They celebrate what engineering, art and passion can achieve.
1:19 The only car McLaren put a manual transmission in was their first road car, the F1
The Ferrari F80 looks like what a modern Ferrari should look like.

It's always a cycle. People flamed Chris Bangle to hell when he was designing cars at BMW, but now his cars are getting glazed like crazy on tiktok.
seems i started to watch the right guy. glad my sub landed on your channel, bruv :)
McLaren W1 is just a piece of art and the engine is pretty good tbh, same goes for the F80 but the design of the F80 still throws me off, and (hot take) i personally think that Hybrids are way WAY better than stand alone engines, because you get the instant torque of the batteries and you still got the engine to go upto the speeds and feed your ego (not applicable on the new BMW's, they are just boat and looks like some Chinese manufactured designed it)
About the manual talk, i think theres a difference between OWNING a manual car, and KNOWING how to drive a manual
If im looking for performance, i would be taking an automatic, or a semi, but knowing how to drive a manual car is just a primary need
This is what happens when a community goes mainstream
Community hating on a car they can't even buy it, like everybody has 4 mili to spend.
i personally go for looks, modern cars don't really make me feel as much as older ones even if they are more powerful
People is missing the fact , F80 and W1 are more track toys than street cars like la ferrari and P1
"Its not a manual" is crazy
I can understand why they would want to make the cars more futuristic looking but they could definitely do better, especially in the interior of the Ferrari F-80.
It's the sound that's the issue with this thing, a Ferrari should not be allowed to sound that horrendous.
