- Use your house boiler to heat your pool to save money on a pool heater. A couple things to consider, but not a difficult job. We include which Tube and Shell Heat Exchangers should be used for what kind of pools. We also have solutions for those problems that might become bigger issues. Thanks and hope this is helpful.
Question: I have a 90kBTU indoor combi-boiler. In the next year or so I will be installing an outdoor wood boiler, likely a Central Boiler 560HDX (200kBTU output). Was wondering if I should get the SS100 or SS260, or split the middle and get the SS170. My pool is chlorine maintained and 15,000g above ground, with decking. Not worried of maxing out either boiler as it will be used primarily in the spring to first heat up the pool after opening. I assume I will need the Ranco 112000 (24v) to send a call to my Taco Switching relay to turn on my indoor circulator and boiler (TT). Any info would be apreciated.
If I install the heat exchanger close to the boiler do I still need a pump and if no how will I control temperature from a smartphone or a thermostat inside in the house. Can I do it just with the aquastat
I have a older boiler that was used in my home and it was still in great working condition will it still work ok for the ingroubd pool still thanks and God bless.
It should
Hi jeff, will the products used for the pool or algae damage the heat exchanger ?
I shouldn't... I would read the chemicals your using to be careful. Jeff
