Michael Emanuel better known by his stage name Michale Graves, is an American singer and songwriter. He is most well known as the lead singer for the 1990s re-incarnation of the Misfits from 1995 to 2000, leaving briefly in 1998. Graves grew up in Dumont, New Jersey.He has also released several albums as a solo artist.
Damn straight. The story he tells about the guy and the train (which he wrote a song about, Man Versus Train off of Wanderer) rings 100% true for me. Michale's music with the Misfits and more so his solo work has kept me on a path of light in many dark times of my life. He is here doing work that's bigger than himself and us his fans. If you get a chance to see him live and meet him you'll see this guy is as real as it gets. No rockstar bullshit. That dude hits that stage every night for his fans, and he treats us as equals. Such a nice, humble person. The Scarecrow Man, The Lost Skeleton or The Skele-Crow, call him what you want....the man is a rock n' roll living legend.
Catholic here, and a huge fan of Graves. Sux he misunderstands my faith. All good, still my top 5
Honestly I've always adored his music and that era of the misfits, it's the only era I listen to. I was told that I shouldn't like him because blah blah blah. But deep diving on a lot of interviews with him and listening to what he's saying he seems incredibly intelligent and a stand up person. Sometimes people who make sense and speak truthful get labeled inappropriately. I'm not even Christian but I hope to get to meet Michael someday.
And that's more punk than most of your critics will claim to be
As an Army vet who joined post 9/11 I completely understand his choices and beliefs. I was injured and spent time at Walter Reid hospital and went home on medical leave. My flight was at Baltimore airport. I was on crutches, and walking to check my baggage and this teenage kid spit in my face. Because I was in uniform. He of course ran, and I couldn’t run. But I suddenly felt like i had time traveled to the Vietnam war. I later had a nice lady buy me a drink at the bar and I got bumped up to first class, so you take the bad with the good!

Though I'm not a Christian or a Republican (or a Democrat), I respect his attitude, style and love of his craft, Graves is a living legend and I hold his music up with the original misfits, I have a Lotta respect for him as a man, I had him sign my misfits tattoo. Hail graves

Im a very late discoverer of the misfits and the version of the band with this man is most definitely the best as well as his solo work is amazing.nothing but total respect for this guy

I want to meet this man one day, and I’m gonna ask him to sing a couple of songs for me and my wife, I served in the army, I have two Danzig tattoos, but I love graves just as much, he’s a total badass artist and we have a lot of similarities, I play music and I write children’s books, I’m a janitor right now but one day I’m gonna be successful, I respect this time in my life where I don’t have much money and I have to work hard but I appreciate the hard times, I listen to the graves misfits all the time, almost every day, I love scream and dig up her bones, I listen to all the different versions and performances, but one day I want to hang out with graves and talk about life and art and all the cool stuff that two badass whiteboys would talk about, and I’m so fuckn happy to hear that he’s close to god, that’s the most important thing in life, you can be Christian and sing scream and dig up her bones
Don’t care about his views and music shouldn’t be political but I love the guy👍🏻❤️🇨🇦

@@topher174 How can you be a paramedic and a recuit at boot camp at the same time? The closest to that is a "Witch Doctor" who just passes out bandages and mole skin.
@@Joseisjose280 Dude... You need to slow it down a little. EMT and Paramedic are two completely different animals, first of all. Second, like YOU said yourself in your first post, he was an EMT AFTER boot camp. He didn't say during. He was a Marine infantry reservist. PLENTY of time after you get out of your basic school(s) to make a living outside. I'm not going to speak for him but you go to boot camp for three months, ten days leave then back to SOI for another 3 months. (which also feels like a fourth phase boot camp)
Hopefully, you're not calling the Corpsmen "witch doctors". There's a special place for you with them if you are.

@@Joseisjose280 of COURSE they do. SOI just ten days after graduation of boot camp. AND, , if you're a reservist, WHO knows when you'll get a space for MOS training. It all depends on the timing.
