That's the strongest part of the car now, and you have more practice to weld up my exhaust
I'm exhausted just thinking about welding your exhaust........
I wouldn't say how not to, they turned out just fine. In a way it's unfortunate that you wont be able to experience the before and after improvement. Good job.👍👍👍
Good Point, It's a shame I never got to run this car before hand to see any improvements that I have made. Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
I learned from this channel. Thanks for being my go to guy Always an adventure. !
Learning anything from this channel can be dangerous hahah Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
@@DuddiesAdventure I know . From eating tacos with all the orange sauce right down to taking a shin out to waking up in the morning wondering where that mark came from.
They look fine from here. Gonna be way more solid than stock and you adapted damaged parts in the process. Awesome!
Just keep adding weld and then cover it up with paint! Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
I have installed a lot of subframe connectors, some manufactured but a lot homemade on Mopars and I have never seen it done that way. They will definitely work but your process was a bit painful to watch if I am honest. Props to you for sticking with it and getting it done.
It's different but I think it will work, Appreciate it and Thanks For watching!
I thought it was measure twice, cut once. But what do I know. I learn so much from you 😂
The lift is awesome! And the TX heat is still going strong I see. ☀️
You’re doing awesome Duddie! ❤️🐞
Measure once, Cut at least five times to length haha. The heat is brutal here but Im powering through it! Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Besides adding the 25lbs, I think you did a good job and it will make the car stronger.
Should make it a lot stronger! Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Instead of paint, try covering it with undercoating !!! This looks like one of the Dodge Brothers evil cousins designed this !!! Duddie von Frankenstein. This car really is gonna be one of the Star displays at the NNN !!! Good episode, I have to admit, you do put a lot of effort into making these videos. 👍
Undercoat is a good idea, it will really blend well with the welds haha Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
@@DuddiesAdventureI think I finally talked my wife into letting me go to th NNN. It’s a drive from CO. But I watch a lot of you guys out here. It just sounds like the best W/E 👍👍👍 I want to see some of the cars see how they made somethings fit and work. Plus if there is time, talk to a few people for some advice. My old Demon isn’t a show car anymore. But I would like to see how thngs were done on other similar cars. And what not to do. Found Joe first then he pushed me to 318willrun, then Duddie !!!! And it grew from there. Wish I could fiure a good name for the channel. I have a 72 Demon and my last name is Wolfe. So I should be able to find something wicked out of that. I want to see those custom back wheel openings for my self and see how well they work and fit. See you there!! Fun watch your adventures !!! Thanks for the time & effort put into making them. You must spend a lot of sleepless nights writing all those scripts for them !!!🤪👍👍👍 we accpreciate the extra effort for our enjoyment!!! 👍👍👍😆
I actually think that’s great. If you’re not putting them through the floor like I do, then think it’s a pretty slick way to do it. It’s going to be super strong…
I need to crawl under the duster and see how they did them. They use the 2 x 2 box to make on that car also. But I’ve never looked to see how they tied them in the back
I think I would consider doing them the same way if I was using 2 x 2 box. I like it.
Its a different way of doing it. I could how ever make it look a little nicer hahaha Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Great Job Duddy. A: Nobody will see it under the car... B: its gonna work just fine. Regards from Ody Slim
Should work just fine, just don't look to close haha Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Very Honestly Sir; I think You did a great job. Yeah sadly all of these cars endured some abuse over the years. But your method looks perfect.
My method isn't pretty but it works, Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
That was a video installing subframe connectors. 👍🏻
Ha Ha Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Not an entire dumpster fire mate...that will work...doesnt have to be pretty.... Remy doesnt want a part of it though which might tell a tale in itself :) Keep at it Duddie...you got this
Remy did not approve at all and did not appreciate all the hammering in the shop haha Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Paint covers a multitude of sins.
A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't
😂😂😂😂👍
A few sanding disk would clean this thing right up! Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
I think it worked out really well. Take care ✌️
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
It’ll be ayight Duddie
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Welp as to my good craptasitc fabbing I once welded my c clamp to what I was butchering. Another wonderful event I cut through the spring clamp that was holding what I was misscutting. Life lessons and lack of learning from self imposed don't do it this was and do it anyway. And my welds are great as long as they don't have to hold anything.
Looking good. Im going to "not" do mine, exactly the same way. 😁👌 But im also going to weld them to the floor in the rear. Keep up the good work. Thanks, from Norway. 😃
Come on Dodge whisperer give the man a real slide Hammer unless you think he'd hurt himself
He doesn't trust me with his really good tools haha Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
1st and I can see were this is going
HAHAHA You knew what was coming
Grinder and paint
It’s all good
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Looks ok by me, under coating will hide the welds some more, can't see them anyway if you keep the shiny side up. good job!
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
I love it.
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
That's how I would've done it!
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
0:51 don't worry thats what we're here for!
The dumpster fire is nice and warm haha Appreciate it and Thanks For watching!
@@DuddiesAdventure seriously tho, this looks plenty strong
And when doing this type of job a drive on lift is definitely the ticket
Appreciate it and Thanks for Watching!
If anything, I would have cut the bottom of the rear subframe OFF, and trimmed the rear seat area to suck them into the car. Other than that, they are solid. Any plans for torque boxes?
Yeah an eighth of an inch was probably a little on the overkill size. But now you can jack the whole car up on one side anywhere along that frame rail
It's real sturdy now haha Not the best work in the world but it will get the job done. Appreciate it and Thanks for Watching!
I always used 2 by 3 tubing and went thru the floor and welded the floor to the tubing to....
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
You did a hellova lot more work than I did on my old 62 Plymouth Sport Fury 2 door car I had. a 440 powered pushbutton 727 auto, I worked at Booth-Arons Engines then and did mine out side the back door of the shop and simply trimmed the edges (angled) to fit, lifted them into place with floor jack, slid under the car & welded them in place & later I covered them in paint. all told, about 2 hours invested to install! This was back in 1984-85 I guess'
Sounds like a awesome car! Appreciate it and thanks for watching!
It'll be fine.
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
I know most people think it's highly unprobable but wouldn't it be so cool if you went there and wiped the track with everyone
It would be cool, but very doubtful haha Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
40 lbs of AC minus 25 lbs of box tube and 10 lbs of booger welds is still a win of 5 lbs. 💪
It's all a numbers game! Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
I think they’re fine, strong and kinda match the rest of the car, no offense. Sort of like a post apocalyptic bug out machine lol. I dig it.
No offense taken, This car is a learning tool for me until my fab skills get better. Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Lol .. it will be fine 👊🍺
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
I think I would have used 3 inch by 2 inch tubing, and wrapped it around the rear subframe. Probably would have looked better and had the same ground clearance
Appreciate it and Thanks for Watching!
In the front you probably should have welded a plate to the factory subframe and then welded your bar to the plate
Appreciate it and Thanks for Watching!
Just fine
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
To be honest duddy you saved yourself quite a bit of work by not doing it the way everybody else did you do lose a little bit of ground clearance the way you did it but you didn't have to slice your floor open on both sides the clear length of that rail to get it to go the other what was it an inch up in there
I thought I saved some time but this still took my 8+ hours to do hahaha Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Embrace the no lift life.
I'm spoiled by the Lift Life.............
Looks tuff to me
Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching !
Is there really a wrong way to cut your car up and put pieces in it that weren't never there
Very Good Point ! Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Saludos duddie
Pido disculpas. Acabo de activar los subtítulos para los últimos 3 videos. ¡Aprecialo y gracias por mirar!
@@DuddiesAdventure no te preocupes duddie tenía problemas con internet y no había visto ese video
Honestly the way I would have approached it would have been the same general idea.
It's not pretty but it works! Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
LOL if they want that stuff they should go watch fitzzy's
Fitzzy is a excellent Fabricator! Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
@@DuddiesAdventure I just read tido's comment and if the Canadian hillbillies approved who are we to argue
All filler 🌮🌮🌮, no killer...
