They are one of the most versatile groups in kpop (probably the most versatile girl group), and they have one of the best discographies in kpop bc they try a lot of genres, styles and concepts (say it by music critics). If you liked Pyscho, you can react to 'bad boy' which has a similar vibe but with more badass and chill style. As I said they try a lot of concepts so when you react to them again you won't see the same concept as the last one. They are amazing! ^^

I think i never saw someone saying this : but you have a really nice voice. You really hit the right tones when you sing along to these songs. Also..... ehm. Yeah we do all know the names. And believe me we even know their birthdays, their real name when they have a stage name and so on haha. But this doesn't come from watching some videos. Once you really get into kpop it's really like a Rabbit hole. We just get and got really curious, watched some interviews in eng sub from the groups and get mostly even more interested. So we end up watching a bunch of videos, learing more about the group and the individual member themselves and just ...kinda fall in love with them. It's just mostly pure love between us fans and the groups. We end up stanning and supporting them, and they make us happy being postive and always bringing smiles and just happiness to our lives.
I’ve seen a few recommendations for Dreamcatcher and I would agree. They are amazing! I’d say react to Piri by them. It’s a whole bop and they’ve got amazing choreography for that one!
There are many groups that have a lot of members. Don't worry. The average number in most groups would be around seven or nine at best. The larger groups have a more group oriented dance routine in many songs. Why get background dancers when you have 11 to 12 members to fill that gap and all can show their dancing. Smaller groups like BlackPink and Red Velvet focus more on their singing and their dancing would come in as secondary, although still very good for many standards. Glad that you are getting into this world of K-pop. Btw every time you hear people say representation, do not expect a multiracial group. Its super rare and not very popular in Korea. At most, it would be a large mix of different East Asian people like Thais, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and etc. Just giving you the heads-up.
I second all the comments saying Dreamcatcher Scream. Saw some other songs recommended by them but nothing gives a truer representation of their sound than Scream. They are my favourite group, but you do need to brace yourself for a dark, fantasy concept. Much different than anything else out there. I would also love to see you react to another Everglow song, honestly all of their songs hit hard and are mega bops like Dun Dun. "Bon Bon Chocolat" was their debut and is FIRE.
I was also HELLA overwhelmed when I started getting into kpop at the end of 2019, but now it’s basically all I listen to and I just got used to groups with 6+ members LOL. omg you kinda went viral recently in kpop twitter for the twice clip! When I first got into kpop, I was right there with you, girl! I was so overwhelmed with how many members were in a group together, because western girl groups that I grew up with had no more than 5 members. But now i guess I’m just kinda use to it! The first kpop group I got into was loona! With twelve members, it was definitely overwhelming to learn everyone’s names but with time i got it down! I think Loona’s company was super smart in how they introduced each member. Each member has their own solo music video, so you can get a feel for each of their personalities and musical style. It’s really fun to watch them in order bc all the music videos kind of tell a story of how all twelve loona members came together! It’s a really interesting concept! They also have three subunits within Loona and each group has a very distinct concept and sound! If you ever consider doing a react video to all twelve Loona solos, or even if that’s too overwhelming, try reacting to their subunit songs! I feel like you’d be impressed! Believe me when I got into Kpop 9 was a lot for me and it took me a year to get use to it. Now my favourite group (ATEEZ) is with 8 members and I just LOVE that! But I'm still having hard time with 10-13 members groups but that has it's own beauty especially performing wise they can do all different things on stage with so many members and their choreos are amazing! So I am sure if you continue listening to Kpop you will get it! :))

I will recommend you again CLC - No (I really like this girl group and they need more love, they are confident women, who regardless of their concept - girl crush, cute, badass - empower their listeners. And I feel like you will appreciate knowing more about k-pop solo artists, so: Sunmi - Gashina (One of the most successful solo artists, I personally find her voice and her delivery so interesting, has a career of 13 years and is just a queen); Chungha - Gotta Go (she's known for being a great dancer, is relatively new but is already a respected name in k-pop, another queen); Taemin - Move (he's an icon in k-pop, known for being one of, if not the best, dancer in the industry, has a career of 12 years, and is just such a good performer. @@torimose6606 You are welcome! I feel like k-pop groups have so many members because: 1. There are so many trainees wanting and waiting to debut and never actually do. Their labels can debut more people at the same time this way; 2. People are just used to it now. Girls Generation was a very successful girl group with 9 members, they were one of the first bigger groups. At that time the public found it strange, but they became so dear to k-pop fans (and also Korea) that after them, groups started to have more members.
Please stop cuttung so many parts of the songs out of the video! As much as we want to see your reaction, we also want to be able to see the video at the same time!

I understand that you want to see the video as well, but I encourage you to visit the official channels to enjoy the full video and give them the view as well. These artists work hard and reaction videos tend to take away from ppl giving the artists all the views that they deserve. Other than that, if I ever cut out a part, it is only to make sure my videos aren’t 30min long and I usually don’t say anything interesting during the parts that I cut out. Hope this helps😊
@@torimose6606 Thanks for the quick reply, I was only saying to maybe not cut as much as you do (just a little less like) of it, because in some kpop songs there are the best parts of the song and lots of fans want to see that reaction to that particular best part, and sometimes you cut it out (and not just you, but many other reactors do as well. This was this one channel that only showed like 5 seconds of a song and cut everything out, can you believe that?!). So that's what I meant, obviously you don't have to show the entire thing and make your videos too long, I just meant that there are some particular parts that really makes the song *that* amazing and a lot fans want to see a reaction to that particular part. what i think is very different in kpop is that you often not only listen to the songs but the way the groups are marketed is very 'personal'? like they want you to get attached to the person(or their image/character they show to the public) and want you to spend more time with them outside of the music. you start watching behind the scenes, live broadcasts they do that seem more intimate/friend like, you watch tv programs they are on, the whole thing; it is marketed to feel like friends/family - not just artist/entertainer. so it is definitely possible to learn all their names (i got into loona(12 girls/women) not too long ago and i got their faces and names down in about?three to five days?) ((i as someone who likes multiple groups(bg&gg) and also listens casually often i think it is super valid to just listen to the group and not give a f*** about their names :D if it's a good song, just listen :DD )) on another note: yes, everglow's styling in that mv was super confusing, they dont stand out much haha also i have no idea what's going on with the member count of everglow, i think there should be girls joining but it isnt sure yet? maybe someone else has more insight there i hope you arent annoyed by longer comments like this :D i am just super happy with how genuine you are
You can easily tell apart members from background dancers by looking at their outfits and positions in the dance formations. Like in this one the background dancers have this black color outfit scheme and while the members faces are shown they wear these black face masks to give the attention to the actual idols. In the dance formation they are usually around and behind the group and don’t really change their position too often. While the members change places to be in the center if it’s their part the dancers stay behind. They also often dance the movements slightly different and you will never find them mouthing to any of the lyrics nor will you find any solo shots of them, they also aren’t included in every dance shot.
If you ever notice in a video that the people in the front are wearing different clothes than the people in the back, that usually means that there are background dancers. Background dancers usually wear more plain outfits with solid colors and they’ll all be dressed the same, and the actual singers will wear nicer outfits with different colors and styles. Just a nice tip because I know that it gets overwhelming😊
It probably reminds you of video games because the song uses synths which were often used in the 80s and the production of the song is incredible. This is the only cute concept Blackpink has ever done, yet they toned it down a bit and kept it a bit mature with the choir in the pre chorus for example.

Before I begin, this is about to be a lot. I've been in the K-Pop game for a decade now and I have a lot of information with no one to share it with. For starters you should look into the group Rania. They had an African-American member about 5 years ago or so, and they did her so dirty. Her name is Alexandria Reid. There are a lot of videos on UA-cam of her talking about her experience as a foreigner in K-Pop. Another girl is Lee Michelle, she's half Korean, half African-American. She was an early member of the project that eventually became Blackpink. She has a song called Without You, and the video shows her experience growing up in Korea looking like a foreigner. Back in like 2011 there was a French girl in a group. They broke up after like 1 song. There's also a group getting ready to debut this year with an Italian member and a Spanish member, if I'm not mistaken. But anyway, I recommend these soloists; Chungha (Gotta Go, Snapping) Sunmi (Gashina, Siren) Hyuna (Lip & Hip, Red) Taeyeon (Spark, Why) I also recommend these newer/lesser known groups/soloists; Rocket Punch (Bouncy, Bim Bam Bum) April (Oh! My Mistake, Tinkerbell) Pristin (We Like, We Woo) AleXa (Bomb, Do or Die) If you want throwback groups that we all love, try; Girls' Generation (I Got A Boy, The Boys) 2NE1 (I Am The Best, Fire) Kara (Step, Mister) T-ara (Roly Poly, Sugar Free) If you want more current popular groups like these, then I suggest; IZ*ONE (Fiesta, La Vie en Rose) ITZY (Wannabe, Dalla Dalla) Gfriend (Me Gustas Tu, Rough) Momoland (Bboom Bboom, Thumbs Up) What I recommend most of all is to get on the web and watch the Produce 101 series.. I'm so happy you reacted to my favorite girl group (red velvet). They are one of the most versatile groups in kpop (probably the most versatile girl group), and they have one of the best discographies in kpop bc they try a lot of genres, styles and concepts (say it by music critics).

From this video I have a feeling you wouldn't like all of them but there are sooo many good ones to choose from. I recommend eclipse (timeless classic), egoist, new, sweet crazy love, and their latest song so what (a little overwhelming but very badass). their side tracks are even better but that's a bucketload of content you'd have to get into. pleaseeeeeeee dive into the loonaverse!!!

I think i never saw someone saying this : but you have a really nice voice. You really hit the right tones when you sing along to these songs.
Also..... ehm. Yeah we do all know the names. And believe me we even know their birthdays, their real name when they have a stage name and so on haha.
But this doesn't come from watching some videos. Once you really get into kpop it's really like a Rabbit hole. We just get and got really curious, watched some interviews in eng sub from the groups and get mostly even more interested. So we end up watching a bunch of videos, learing more about the group and the individual member themselves and just ...kinda fall in love with them.
It's just mostly pure love between us fans and the groups. We end up stanning and supporting them, and they make us happy being postive and always bringing smiles and just happiness to our lives.

I’ve seen a few recommendations for Dreamcatcher and I would agree. They are amazing! I’d say react to Piri by them. It’s a whole bop and they’ve got amazing choreography for that one!
There are many groups that have a lot of members. Don't worry. The average number in most groups would be around seven or nine at best. The larger groups have a more group oriented dance routine in many songs. Why get background dancers when you have 11 to 12 members to fill that gap and all can show their dancing. Smaller groups like BlackPink and Red Velvet focus more on their singing and their dancing would come in as secondary, although still very good for many standards. Glad that you are getting into this world of K-pop. Btw every time you hear people say representation, do not expect a multiracial group. Its super rare and not very popular in Korea. At most, it would be a large mix of different East Asian people like Thais, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and etc. Just giving you the heads-up.

I second all the comments saying Dreamcatcher Scream. Saw some other songs recommended by them but nothing gives a truer representation of their sound than Scream. They are my favourite group, but you do need to brace yourself for a dark, fantasy concept. Much different than anything else out there. I would also love to see you react to another Everglow song, honestly all of their songs hit hard and are mega bops like Dun Dun. "Bon Bon Chocolat" was their debut and is FIRE.

omg you kinda went viral recently in kpop twitter for the twice clip! When I first got into kpop, I was right there with you, girl! I was so overwhelmed with how many members were in a group together, because western girl groups that I grew up with had no more than 5 members.
But now i guess I’m just kinda use to it! The first kpop group I got into was loona! With twelve members, it was definitely overwhelming to learn everyone’s names but with time i got it down! I think Loona’s company was super smart in how they introduced each member. Each member has their own solo music video, so you can get a feel for each of their personalities and musical style. It’s really fun to watch them in order bc all the music videos kind of tell a story of how all twelve loona members came together! It’s a really interesting concept! They also have three subunits within Loona and each group has a very distinct concept and sound! If you ever consider doing a react video to all twelve Loona solos, or even if that’s too overwhelming, try reacting to their subunit songs! I feel like you’d be impressed!

Actually, GFRIEND is a 6 member kpop girl group namely: Sowon, Eunha, Yuju, Yerin, SinB and Umji. Believe me when I got into Kpop 9 was a lot for me and it took me a year to get use to it. Now my favourite group (ATEEZ) is with 8 members and I just LOVE that! But I'm still having hard time with 10-13 members groups but that has it's own beauty especially performing wise they can do all different things on stage with so many members and their choreos are amazing! So I am sure if you continue listening to Kpop you will get it! :))

I will recommend you again CLC - No (I really like this girl group and they need more love, they are confident women, who regardless of their concept - girl crush, cute, badass - empower their listeners. And I feel like you will appreciate knowing more about k-pop solo artists, so: Sunmi - Gashina (One of the most successful solo artists, I personally find her voice and her delivery so interesting, has a career of 13 years and is just a queen); Chungha - Gotta Go (she's known for being a great dancer, is relatively new but is already a respected name in k-pop, another queen); Taemin - Move (he's an icon in k-pop, known for being one of, if not the best, dancer in the industry, has a career of 12 years, and is just such a good performer. He knows how to mesmerize people).

I feel like k-pop groups have so many members because:
1. There are so many trainees wanting and waiting to debut and never actually do. Their labels can debut more people at the same time this way;
2. People are just used to it now. Girls Generation was a very successful girl group with 9 members, they were one of the first bigger groups. At that time the public found it strange, but they became so dear to k-pop fans (and also Korea) that after them, groups started to have more members.

Danny Phantom lol I had a feeling someone would say that. I understand that you want to see the video as well, but I encourage you to visit the official channels to enjoy the full video and give them the view as well. These artists work hard and reaction videos tend to take away from ppl giving the artists all the views that they deserve. Other than that, if I ever cut out a part, it is only to make sure my videos aren’t 30min long and I usually don’t say anything interesting during the parts that I cut out. Hope this helps😊
@@torimose6606 Thanks for the quick reply, I was only saying to maybe not cut as much as you do (just a little less like) of it, because in some kpop songs there are the best parts of the song and lots of fans want to see that reaction to that particular best part, and sometimes you cut it out (and not just you, but many other reactors do as well. This was this one channel that only showed like 5 seconds of a song and cut everything out, can you believe that?!). So that's what I meant, obviously you don't have to show the entire thing and make your videos too long, I just meant that there are some particular parts that really makes the song *that* amazing and a lot fans want to see a reaction to that particular part. I didnt mean to offend you and I hope you don't take my comment the wrong way. I do enjoy your videos though, and will continue to watch your videos in the future!
what i think is very different in kpop is that you often not only listen to the songs but the way the groups are marketed is very 'personal'?
like they want you to get attached to the person(or their image/character they show to the public) and want you to spend more time with them outside of the music. you start watching behind the scenes, live broadcasts they do that seem more intimate/friend like, you watch tv programs they are on, the whole thing; it is marketed to feel like friends/family - not just artist/entertainer.
so it is definitely possible to learn all their names

((i as someone who likes multiple groups(bg&gg) and also listens casually often i think it is super valid to just listen to the group and not give a f*** about their names :D if it's a good song, just listen :DD ))

also i have no idea what's going on with the member count of everglow, i think there should be girls joining but it isnt sure yet?

You can easily tell apart members from background dancers by looking at their outfits and positions in the dance formations. Like in this one the background dancers have this black color outfit scheme and while the members faces are shown they wear these black face masks to give the attention to the actual idols. In the dance formation they are usually around and behind the group and don’t really change their position too often. While the members change places to be in the center if it’s their part the dancers stay behind. They also often dance the movements slightly different and you will never find them mouthing to any of the lyrics nor will you find any solo shots of them, they also aren’t included in every dance shot.

If you ever notice in a video that the people in the front are wearing different clothes than the people in the back, that usually means that there are background dancers. Background dancers usually wear more plain outfits with solid colors and they’ll all be dressed the same, and the actual singers will wear nicer outfits with different colors and styles. Just a nice tip because I know that it gets overwhelming😊

It probably reminds you of video games because the song uses synths which were often used in the 80s and the production of the song is incredible. This is the only cute concept Blackpink has ever done, yet they toned it down a bit and kept it a bit mature with the choir in the pre chorus for example.

Before I begin, this is about to be a lot. I've been in the K-Pop game for a decade now and I have a lot of information with no one to share it with. For starters you should look into the group Rania. They had an African-American member about 5 years ago or so, and they did her so dirty. Her name is Alexandria Reid. There are a lot of videos on UA-cam of her talking about her experience as a foreigner in K-Pop. Another girl is Lee Michelle, she's half Korean, half African-American. She was an early member of the project that eventually became Blackpink. She has a song called Without You, and the video shows her experience growing up in Korea looking like a foreigner. Back in like 2011 there was a French girl in a group. They broke up after like 1 song. There's also a group getting ready to debut this year with an Italian member and a Spanish member, if I'm not mistaken.
But anyway, I recommend these soloists;
