- Hiya! In this Q&A video (first one of the series!) I’ll be going over in detail all the costs of building out my Ford Transit Connect van! My hope with this video is to give guidance & information to anyone who is aspiring to do their own van build. There are so many different ways to go about a conversion, and lots of ways to cut costs and build out a tiny home on a real budget!

This is so inspiring! I would never had thought it possible to build such a fully functional & beautifully designed conversion for less than 20 grand, and your cost is almost half that! Thank you so much for sharing this!
And to think the van was 7.5 grand .. could get one for much cheaper than that
$10,000+ is dirt cheap for something so practical and priceless. Not to mention by converting this van you now have free rent anytime you want or need it, plus easily parkable transportation. And a luxurious back-up safety "tent" glamping mobile home if ever camping in a tent. Thanks so much for sharing. Go you! Love the aerial shots and notebook. Your dog has so much personality.

That’s a GREAT cost for the conversion! A vehicle is something most people need to have regardless, so it’s not something I really include in the costings, especially if you’re buying something reasonable 😁👍
Good point! So one could say this build was actually just $3,480. Amazing!!!

I was also pleasantly surprised when I ran the numbers on my plumbing & it came out so low! The big money saver here was finding quality waterjugs and vinyl tubing at a garage sale. It was an unbelievable score!

I can't even drive but I love this conversion - especially the pull out kitchen. As a disasterously messy cook that'd be my dream solution for my brick-and-mortar house lol!

OMGoodness I've been waiting for this !! First off I love your channel AND Teller is BEAUTIFUL !! I'm also in love with Dottie ! I have more question about her : what/where to get the basket looking covers on the two ceiling lites, where can I obtain that particular kuska mug sitting on the drop down table on the rear door (it was toward the end of the first video), the "Follow That Dream" hanging, the round stencil(?) of the bear on the end of your upper cabinet, and, finally, where or how did you place the beautiful wood shelf holding your green coffee pot ??
