Great video thanks.. When I recently sprayed my bike I made stencils and went OK, but I masked the rest of the frame to protect from overspray some of the edges of the tape were visible in the base coat upon removal!! I didn't press edges down hard and used very low tack tape... My base colour must have been too thick/not fully cured?? even after about 3 days drying.
No residue, it was only on the very edge of tape, like a very faint indentation. I used Halfords automotive paint (acrylic / gloss) it was barely visible but I still sanded a resprayed those areas.

As always, very informative! :)
🙏🏻 thanks!
Do you sand the paint after applying?
Nope, not on the visible paint. Only primer and clear coat
You can wet sand the paint down but you have to apply another layer.
@@MrLynneBrown true. I normally don’t thought as the adhesion is good without. But if you have flaws you can adjust, as long as you spray again. 👍
Have you ever painted a bike? If not, check out the video on base prep in the end of this video. 👍
Yep, wish I would have seen your vids first though. 😫

Was it residue that was left? What paint did you use?

@@iRyan93 ok, great that you could save it.
can i use stencil on base coat? will it damage my base coat? Thanks
Yes you can but make sure the base coat is fully cured and try to keep the stencil on as short time as possible. 👍
Sweet! (And sweat... 😅)
Hehe! Soon Olof you can return one of your demo bikes with a lot cooler pain job than when you received it. 🙄😉😂👍
