Yes, but not just west coast, East coast too...House of Pain, LOrdz of Brooklyn, Notorious BIG, Craig Mack, plus these beats you can hear with Wu-Tang clan, old Snoop Dog.....etc.
Young Posse is a very hip hop based group! I personally love this song for that reason and their whole discography has this throwback vibe to it! They're all young, hence the name. I think the oldest is 19 or 20, youngest is 15
The "big dude in the beginning" is an artist called Mass of Man. Ben Proulx, who has now directed both of Young Posse's title MVs, also directed MVs for Mass of Man. It seems he was so impressed by Young Posse, as his first kpop work, that he connected a lot of his people with them. For example, a bit earlier, Young Posse made a MV called "Young Posse Up" featuring, among others, Token - another artist whose MVs were his work. (By the way, that's Ben himself right there, at 3:21!)
It’s definitely like a Cypress Hill, Wu Tang Clan type of 90s sound! I love the urban street sound coming back and it’s cool to see it in kpop with these awesome visuals
Cypress Hill meets 90s west coast "gangsta" rap?
Omg yes!!! Fricken Cypress that’s exactly who I was thinking of
Yup, that's covers it pretty well.

Definitely 90s vibes with this song. How I love them. They are awesome.
XXL is a song that homages 1990s legendary Korean singer Seo Taiji's “Comeback home"
