- Last week we were one of the very few media outlets that were invited to an intimate session with the one and only Virgil Abloh in Singapore. During our few hours with him, Virgil speaks about "The Ten" Collection he did in collaboration with Nike, being creative, and why he chose the particular 10 pairs for the collab.

I love the industrial influence but the whole point of that raw aesthetic away from fashion is that is was cheap as fuck. e.g.having a raw light bulb with no shade looks cools because its barebones, and its cheap because its barebones. The raw industrial aesthetic is fashion however is expensive and exclusive.

Why are these designers making things that cost $2000 a pop? My husband looked at those black shoes when I asked him about Virgil and asked did he know about him, they were $2000! So Virgil, now I have to decide to pay my mortgage or buy my husband some shoes MAN. At least I brought him prada tennis shoes years ago and they were $460 green with red strap on the back. Now, I have to buy these. He said I don't say that when I want a bag. True. But don't compare yourself to me is what I keep trying to tell him lol.
