Hi. You have a highly sophisticated and mature sense of smell. I have been following your videos for a few months now, and I have found that you can be trusted implicitly in your descriptions. I think we both like all things amber, lol. Amber florals, soft ambers, spicy ambers, woody ambers, any amber, lol. But what makes your videos especially interesting is your range. Greens, water, fruits, florals, ambers, gourmands, citrus, aromatics, woods, you cover the entire wheel! You do such a good job at describing what is going on in a scent and how you think you can use it. For those viewing the Earthglow videos, I highly recommend sampling some of the scents that this young man highlights. His taste is impeccable and blend beautifully.
Hi Nicole! I will add this to my list of video topics. Now that I think of it, it might be more helpful to make this video sooner rather than later because people need time to order the scents and everything too!! Thank you for your helpful suggestion. 💗🌱
Oh I love your videos!! Have tried all of them separately but not as blends! Excited to try them. Btw shipping at CS feels like it’s really gone up!! And Mango and Coconut was all sold out about a week ago. Love that scent! Do you a 10% load? This would be in 464.
I am delighted you’re enjoying these videos, Kim!!! Fragrances vids are my favorite to make. I haven’t noticed that about their shipping but I’ll have to look into that-yikes!! Yup I always always use 10% for 464 and that works generally very well for me. All of these blends use 10% total.
I wanted to love mango and coconut so bad! The reviews are great, but to me it smells EXACTLY like Tropical Fusion Swishers or those cheap car tree air fresheners. I haven't found a good blend I like with it either.
Hi Allen...we just moved back to Massachusetts from the Indianapolis area and I am learning what sells best here. But when I was there, my best selling blend was Palo Santo (now rebranded) and Santal & Coconut by Candle science...give that one a try!!
Hi True Moon Magic! Your comment makes my afternoon. I will give this one a try for sure!!! Love and light always and a warm welcome to our UA-cam candlemaking family. 🌱💛
Hi Allen! First off I just want to say that I love your videos… You’re just a beautiful soul. Secondly, and this is where it gets a bit weird, 🤣 my girlfriend wants me to make a candle that smells like wet pavement after rain. She said that’s her absolute favorite smell and she has never been able to find a candle that smells like that. There might be a reason, 🤣 but I was wondering if you had any idea what fragrances might make up a wet asphalt smell. TY!!
Hi Colleen!! Oh my gosh, I love this. I have never had a request anything like it, but offhand some fragrances that come to mind are Sea Minerals from Candlescience but this definitely needs to be blended with something more like asphalt because it's too clean. Ha ha ha!!! I would be tempted to play with blending this with Leather by Candlescience and/or Fireside by Flaming Candle. I am happy to play around with this for you, especially since I own all of these scents. How intriguing and also hilarious!!! So glad you found my UA-cam channel and are a part of our UA-cam candlemaking family. Love and light to you and yours always.
@@earthglow I know, neither have I! I blended florals and fruits and food items but never this! I have one of the fragrances, but not the other two. Thank you for giving it some thought and sharing your ideas!! 🤗
If you want a candle that is already made with that scent, D S and Durga have a candle called "concrete after rain", and I own a candle by Joya called "Noir" which is inspired by the rain hitting pavement. Candle Science has a Rain Water FO that I just used in melt and pour soap, and it has ozonic and light flora scents, its light and fresh and not cologne-y smelling, and Candle Science has just released their own "Petrichor" scent which is supposed to smell like wet earth after rain, I haven't tried that one yet but it's going to be coming in my next order! :) I'm in love with the "rain" scents so I'm always trying to keep my radar open for that scent.
@@bebegrrl1 Thank you so much! And darn it, I just put in an order with candle science and for my free fragrance oil I did not pick that new scent! 🤣 Petrichor… I have to check that out!
So im a newbie with candle making, i make strictly beeswax candles. What type of oil do yo use in beeswax or do you. I use natural oils like lavender/ chamomile or patchouli. I dont want to over do it because i like the natural honey smell.😊
Beeswax can be challenging for hot throw for sure. You’ll honestly need to test one by one because all of these oils come from different sources and will not perform the same across the board.
@@earthglow I just meant it would be great to have your impressions on Fall/Winter 2024. Have you ever worked with SIMBI? Curious. Or, Little Bee Scents?
Would you all like to see a video like this for my fall bestsellers? Or do you think I should wait a month or two?
Allen I would love love to see a video for you fall bestsellers. I love your enthusiam for scents
@@kristacarter7222 Thanks for your reply, Krista!! I’ll get one out to you all very soon. Love and light 🌱💗
Yes, Allen - it's never too soon to prepare for fall. You are quite creative, luv.

Thank you. This comment means a lot to me. 💛
Your adorable, the way you describe your enthusiasm reminds me of a travel food vlogger on UA-cam named Mark weins..
Please add a fall list. I need to know! Thank you!
