  • Dear customer, you can link the tube to the water tap in your house if you have not bought the spare pump , just please check the size of the water flow carefully and slowly , thanks ;

    I love these little Chinese pot stills. I have been using mine for the last 5 years and it hasn't missed a beat. I've experimented with so many different kinds of mash also. I'm buying another one so I can have 2 going at the same time. secondly I have found by shutting off the valves in the condenser and filling it with ice and water works well and eliminates the need to run a pump.

      the specifitions of the water pump is :
      height of flow water : 60~80cm ;
      amount of flow water : 200L ~ 400 L per hour ;
      customers can buy the water pump from their local store also ;

      I use Aquaneat 50 gph. Works great. Infact I had to turn the pump pressure down because I didn't need all that lenth. I made a chiller unit in a 5 gallon bucket. In the bucket is the pump, ice and water. But the top of the return bucket has to be lower than the return outlet from the coil (gravity on the return).
      The pump I got from Amazon for like $6.00. Well worth it. I need it to make distilled water for my CPAP.

    Same audio problem as the last on I watch.....there isn't any audio. I also didn't read that I needed a submersible water pump when it was advertised.

      +Mark Curtis You don't have to have one. I've seen various ways to keep the coils cool. Some just add ice, and use the hose to drain excess water. I plan on hooking mine up to my sink and just run cold water on low. You can buy an adapter real cheap at the hardware store. Someone suggested a induction hot plate for heating the pot, for better temperature control, portability and no open flames to worry about. So I'll be placing mine right next to the sink anyways.

    Just received one (MSC/MSS) as a gift. Two questions. (1) Does it matter which side (inside or outside the lid) the silicone ring gaskets for thermometer and exhaust/airlock are on? (2) Does it matter which side of the tube from the pot to the condenser the thermometer and exhaust are placed? Now, to Google mash recipes.
