I think this tournament will come down to BLG vs T1. TES have looked shaky, GenG are notorious international chokers, and the gap between the east and west is only widening.
TL probably got the best draw, just because TES are extremely wonky and Yeon/Core have been doing very well in scrims, so they might be able to contain TES botlane somewhat.
Also TL vs a team with JackeyLove and G2 vs T1 at MSI. 2019 is here again

You know if it was any other team than the LCK teams I think G2 woulda had a chance based on their worlds 2023 scrims they went even with LPL and got stomped by LCK especially T1
Scrim results are not a good yardstick to measure LPL and LCK strengths though. For example, T1's main scrim partner last year's Worlds was KDF, and it was revealed that T1 requested a lot of specific scenarios and champions during scrim practices. LPL teams on the other hand, use scrim blocks to gather information, and usually don't tryhard.
No one knows what LCK and LPL teams are getting out of the scrims, and how they are using what they've learned on scrims regardless of results.

Outside of the all mighty unbeatable force of nature called DWG 2020 you could be sure that IF one team had LCKs number it was G2. If any team is going to upset in any fashion in the upper bracket, I think itll be TL beating TES. Not that TL is a better team than G2, but because theres a clear power gap between TES and GenG/T1/BLG AND TES by far have the biggest chance to flop. All TL need to do is hope Tian ints, and then not fuck it up. Impact/Core/Umti SHOULD be able to do that.
Zero chance PSG, FNC, or G2 dont lose. Zero chance PSG takes a game. If T1 disrespect and happy game, G2 might take a game. If Chovy and Kiin choke while Canyon happens to be on a tank, and Peyz hasnt gotten over his slump, FNC might take a game.

G2 vs T1 I mean yeah I get the T1 fans expect to smash g2 but g2 are being quite understimated now because of last years worlds.

I think the people saying it's LPL's tournament are LCK fans who want to be the underdog. But nah bros....it could go either way, very much so. I think there's something to be said about shorter formats benefiting the LPL, but because who won the last tournament doesn't really affect who'll win the next. It's a form of Gambler's Fallacy. I think whichever team that has been winning each time deserves it and outplayed.
