- Sweeping changes to the Cheltenham Festival, a lack of change in British racing politics and top-class action on the track are all on the table in this week's edition.
Lee Mottershead, David Jennings and Peter Scargill kick things off by examining the full raft of changes made to the festival.
Next up we dig deep into the Racing Post's special report on the problems in British racing's governance structure and ask if the problem is the system or the people within it?
Finally, there's a look back to the weekend's Group 1 action at Newmarket and a look ahead to Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Racing in general is in a shocking state . I would love to know if anyone can provide the attendance figures for Newmarket on Thursday and Friday. How the race planners can have a three day meeting at Newmarket at this time of year is just crazy.
Why not have 2 Cross Country Chases; one for top rated old timers, one for the small time handicap hopers?
The festival is in long term decline and will continue as these changes will have no material impact. The only hope is to go back to a three day festival.
The big issue that they can't address is that Mullins will dictate the market for all the novice races - that's why we have these massive problems in the sport right now. They have diluted 2 perfectly good races to try and force trainers to run those good horses in another race - where they almost certainly won't figure and likely won't even bother trying. The Turners was one of the races of the festival this year.
Not one punter will get excited for a novice handicap chase or a cross country that will very likely throw up some wild result. Bookies will of course love these changes.
yes it is nice having the visagoths in charge to sort out problems for cheltenham we all love hanicaps i dont know why just go the whole hog make every race a handicap then other horses might be able to beat con hiill or stateman and giving a extra 1 stone to galapin then we might get a differant reult, and another thing why not tell trainers and owers that races need to have 30+ runners if 2 days before then reserves could be used or the prize money would be lowered to save money
What camera is that 😂
They’ve literally done nothing about the price. Changing the Turners and Cross country back to handicaps isn’t going to attract the punters back. Attendances will continue to fall next year
Yes it will
Horse racing has had a good run but its now had its day,
