Lads , I really appreciate your show my Cheltenham countdown wouldn't be the same without you both great job, can't believe that it's episode 19 already this year
Gary O Brien just oozes class, great addition.
Great to see Gary O'Brien on. Badly miss him and the Irish racing coverage on ATR.
Let's hope we see him back on Sky Sports racing
Brilliant and entertaining…thanks all!
excellent programme lads thank you
The only sad thing about being this close to Cheltenham is knowing we’ve got to wait until November for another episode (after Sunday) some absolute class ante post selections from Gavin and DJ as always
Another enjoyable watch, cheers guys 😁 Good mix of humour & opinion. Really looking forward to it now but still lots to look through so glad for the weekend too 😆 best of luck
Awesome show this year ❤️
Great show lads
Top show again Lads 👏👏
Enjoy the festival one and all
Come on bet 365 , stunning work by these lads over these last 274 weeks , time for a lucky 15 please 🙏 for cancer trials Ireland, each one of you select one horse , 5ew lucky 15 , we’re all be on with you and will donate
Go on pat lisneagar oscar 😂😂😂..my favourite horse i thought i was the only mad one..u never know though would be fantastic lol...
Knight salute will shine
Looking forward to hearing the legend that is Gary obrien and hi top tip for cheltenham
His charity bet was Il Etait Temps ew in Triumph the other night (and Ruby followed him in on it)
Great show
Gary is a class act and knows his onions when it comes to the horses and i also like Mighty Potter at the prices
I'd love to see some great crowds, great horses, great jockeys, and a farewell win for Tiger Roll. I mean god we all deserve a little fun for a change.
Well second year of me hanging on to every word a fellow Gav says. Pure genius. Between him and G Elliott surely we can't lose. Can we ? 😉
Top show fellas as always appreciate it 👍
Honeysuckle it.
Top show lads loved it well done, be lucky, Lisnegar Oscar! 😋
What state will Mr Jennings be in after his “banker of the week” Minella Crooner misses festival plus his “best handicapped horse of the week” (Might I)also misses the festival?!!
Bob Olinger (seb Coe) v Galopin (Steve cram)
Whose house did the couch 🛋 get lifted from😂
Great show lads, I’ve got 6 grand in bets on and I’ve only backed 3 of your selections, il be happy with. 20 k return good luck to all,
Should be happy with your 6k back...this Cheltenham has the makings to be one of the shittest ones in a long time
@@niallmoran56 I agree, I’ve got 120ew on edwardstone at 25s and 123.50 at 16s so if that wins I’m on to a fantastic start, also got 225 ew on Jon Bon at 14s so if they both lose, all my bets will lose,
@@terencemitchell3677 ahh after hearing about your edwardstone bet ye that's set up nicely if he can do it, you had some nice luck with ferny hollow being pulled out and ahh I'd still give jonbon a massive chance I had him and Galopin Des champs for 11 k but that was for the RSA and also had Galopin Des champs for 6k for RSA so my Cheltenham is basically over, also has allegorie de vassy 3 places for 2.5k and ferny hollow for a couple grand as well so havnt recovered from any of it 😂nah let's hope edwardstone does it I mean he should definitely be top 2 !
@@terencemitchell3677 sounds like you went big on ante post...similar to me I had around 4800 worth of bets and literally the only one left is run wild Fred for 850 which I couldn't care less about now😂
@@niallmoran56 wow u are unlucky mate. Yeah I backed them months ago, yeah it should deffo come in top 2 and Jon Bon top 3, I won’t get to watch them tho, of to Poland for a op on Sunday and I very much doubt they will play Cheltenham in hospitals and pubs over there, hanaha
What time is your show today , Sunday the 13th March ?
I really think I’ve found one…. Zambella in the Mares Chase. 9/1 in a strange old race.
Right men, what’s your NAP of the festival
El fabiolo what does anyone think of him? Slipped under the radar after he got injured won hes race really well. Not one mention of him in the supreme
What a treat , lads if you had to have €100 on one win treble and 50 ew treble what would they be

no one has said it, but I think that if bob olinger had stayed over hurdles he could have been the next faugheen, what do you guys think
david im in school at 1:30 on thursday and i really want to stay of but im not allowed
Sorry me again is the turners really go to cut up and be a less than 5 runner race , thanks 🙏 ps great work lads and pat thank you , this helps a lot of people through there day
I think it will be a very small field. Sadly that is all down to the 4th day at the festival.
Imagine when it goes to five days!!!!
It would be great if they had the balls to reduce it back to 3 days.
I would drop;
The Turners
Martin Pipe
Mares Chase
Mares Novice
The Bumper
Cross Country
Boodles Fred Winter
Will be lucky to have 5 in the Turners. 2 great horses scaring them off. The 5 day festival is a formality and no amount of moaning will change that. Only need 2 extra races and if done intelligently it shouldn't further dilute i.e a veterans chase is a certainty and would be welcome and overdue. You could also introduce a conditions auction race or similar. For example a 2 and a half mile hurdle where there is a ceiling on the sale price (at any stage of the horses career). You could have it so it has similar restrictions to the Super Sprint at Newbury. A rich race where owners have paid relatively little and they get weighted accordingly. There is no scope IMO for further Championship races to be introduced. People don't like change. Everyone moaned about the cross country being introduced years ago and as a spectacle there are few better races and the brilliant Tiger Roll has built a legacy in it (and elsewhere). Not everyone likes that race but you are not forced to watch or bet on races that have little or no appeal.
@@johnsonkevin1 why would you even reduce to 3 days the more racing the better at Cheltenham. What a stupid comment 😂
@@30953928 Keep 4 days but 6 races per day
If Pat is so dismissive about Honeysuckle why are Bet 365 the shortest at 4/9?
They don’t trust him to form the book
I couldn't back Mighty Potter with anyone's Money
the boys are talkin S e about Honeysuckle she's a certainty to win it again bar a fall that 7lb allowance is just nuts and will be decisive again she's a good thing , and i fancy Blackmore to do a Norman Williamson and win the Gold Cup as well on A plus Tard
Ahoy Senor - not the finished article - let's see how he finishes on Wednesday, the whole point of novice races is that they improve with racing and maturity
Correct but they were making the point others may be further ahead of him at this stage of their careers.
I like Senor. Reminds me of Coneygree. Wins imo.
The Nicky Henderson stable form is nonsense. Daryl Carter tweeted the below yesterday:
If any punter is worried about this then have a word with yourself. Every yard have to run their lesser horses at some point.
Of his last 18 horses run 9 have been 12/1 plus. Five of those have been 20/1, 50/1, 33/1, 40/1 and 20/1 chances
Absolute garbage, if you are not worried about the form then you know nothing. Only 23% of his horses since FEb have run to their RPR. That’s irrelevant of their ability in terms of Cheltenham. The Alan King stable form his also a blow for Edwardstone.
This reply aged well…..
…..🤪💥
What price Edwardstone if Henderson trained him?
7-4
Would constitution hill not shorten when sir gerhard is confirmed for ballymore?
Everything has/will
Dysart Dynamo has not done a decent speed figure. FACT
Can we not skip forward to the naps 😜😂😂
Have some class man
@@timcomley3241 It was tongue in cheek as they mention it every week when welcoming viewers to the show that started with the selections!! Can't blame them if you want to get the price put up on the show.
what chest size are garys jeans
Presumably, Gary has backed Conflated for the Gold Cup? Be nice to know because this argument seemed a bit desperate. Conflated would go off second favourite and has one to beat in the Ryanair.
Not desperate at all. He has just won the Irish Gold Cup beating last seasons Cheltenham Gold Cup winner.
do u be told what to say
Lisnagar Oscar🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Past champion
Tellmesomerhing Girl doesn't jump well enough.
" i don't wanna be the guy who shot bambi" was said by andre farbe before his horse wilderstien beat enable in the arc, please not again 🙏
Lisnagar Oscar. That stinks Pat!
Great show.Shame about Cooney.Typical bookie.
The Irish moaning about English handicapping makes me laugh. They will probably win most of them
Stop saying 'sexy' Pat
L my l
Kilcruit still ew value
I can feel it coming in the air tonight
A preview, after the other 18 Cheltenham Upping the Ante shows. They weren't preview shows. The focus on Cheltenham compared to Aintree is utterly daft.
Why would you do shows building up to Aintree?
@@johnsonkevin1 It's a three day festival with plenty of high class racing. Why would you listen to 19 Cheltenham previews and just 1 or no Aintree previews. Because you've been fooled by the hype maybe?
@@dimpdimp4298 Because Cheltenham is the championship of NH racing.
@@johnsonkevin1 The Kim Muir for example is less prize money than 2 NH handicaps today. Sure there's 4-5 championship races. On lots of filler.
Great show lads
