Hey fellow flatland citizen, belgian enduro cup is 11th of this month. Track walk is on the 10th. Also it's an ews gold qualifier. Should check it out, friends and I are racing it.
Thanks Christina, iv been pondering trying my first enduro for a while, be it as a slightly unfit mid 30's guy on a 26 inch bike and was a bit worried about the linking trails, fitness etc but this explains what to expect really well thank you. Think I will give it a go!
How about making Enduro a national televised sport! There are many reasons lots of other sports cast a shadow over this hottest form of off-road cycling.
Thank you, Christina, for another informative and well-done video. Your enormous talent and kindness shine through on every one of your videos, making them both exciting and heart-warming to watch.
Texas enduro cup hosted by team trail party is coming up this fall, and the southern enduro tour hosted by slaughter trail guides in the spring is also around the corner!
Noob question regarding enduro walking: I read that pedaling is a lot more efficient than walking since there is much less up and down bobbing. Is it really easier to walk up than to ride up, at the easiest gear and a similar pace?
as a climber, i found pedaling uphill is more energy saver than pushing the bike uphill😁😁 i wish the climb are timed too. cause its a race😅 and thats why its enduro. to test your mtb skills. up and down the hill. whith your skills and endurance😁😁
@@HeyBaumeister its more like xc idol. if you ride xc race now adays its like your riding enduro with a twist.🤣🤣🤣 climb will kill your knees.😅😅😅 thats why xc bike forks now a days have more travel than usual. even in our area, xc rider dominates in enduro race, even using xc bikes. beating the *** of enduro rider with enduro bikes😁
That defeats the whole purpose of enduro. It’s basically multiple downhill races in a day. The climb is just to wear you out and get you to the top for the actual race. XC riders don’t stand a chance in a real enduro race. I don’t think you’ve seen a real enduro race if you think XC riders on their tiny bikes can beat real enduro racers on their buffed out race rigs.

It all depends on your personal fitness. If you are very fit then you can go hard in the beginning. But preride your stages and transfers to understand what you’re dealing with.
Walking is fine for newbies. But if you are really training both physically and technically, pedalling up should be no problem at all, and still have the energy to bomb down the hill
It went together easily in less than an hour. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
@@TheMonneydollar the bikes are too fancy for my taste, also i feel like not timing the uphill is a bit silly but at least they are not shuttled. there are lots of other reason that trickle into other disciplines like paying to ride a bike but i get why some people might use that as motivation to push harder or train more often its just not for me, i tend to prefer to ride very basic bikes like full rigid singlespeeds, coaster braked, or fixed mountain bikes, just a different journey. this video does do a really great job of explaining the event and i use to ride bikes set up for that type of riding, just the longer i bike the less complicated bike i want.
