Yeah this is pretty awesome and unique. I usually don't listen to either pure jazz or pure prog but when i heard this album i immediately knew that this is some standout stuff
I'm seriously in love with the fact that Esperanza made a music video for (virtually) every song on the album including the Deluxe additions: this one in particular is just so... confusing, but in the bestest way possible ❤
Not only should humans “listen”, but they should just “THINK”! Just “THINK”. Not ‘Just Do It (reactionary)’...but THINK. Thinking is so beautiful✊🏽 Thank you, Queen Esperanza✊🏽
this child; intergalactic improvisational soundscapes from planet kuba-celtic-igbo. I got my ticket while in the womb. I absolutely love the deconstructed mandalic musicality of her sound. I will be there tonight at the Buckhead Theater, Atlanta!!! Can't wait!
The guitar composition on this piece is outstanding, a cross over of jazz, psych, Prog and probably more. Does anybody know wrote and performed that part? My day will be spent working out how to play it for sure.
For every new song I come across I feel closer to Fantano. Keep the good tunes coming, UA-cam. You can't respect creators or your own platform but at least your algorithms know what to show me for music.
Anyone else think the bit at 3:25 sounds a lot like KNOWER? Something about the staccato, double tracked vocals really sounds like Genevieve but I can't pin down which exact song it sounds like...
You can definitely make a correlation between the two but it's still very vague lol... There might be the slightest bit of influence there, we won't know until she says it though.
@@aliasanew3398 Not so vague. I don't think Esperanza thought about Knower while doing so. I guess it's kind of tied to the « technic » they both share, deconstructing melody and rythm, playing around lines and pitches… Well, jazz.
THIS IS AN OBSCURE, SOPHISTICATED AND BORDERING ON THE OCCULT, SORT OF AN ALBUM; JANGLING NEW PERSPECTIVES LYRICALLY AND SONICALLY-EVOLVING US ALL BACK INTO A CENTER, THAT CANNOT BE SEEN, BUT FATHOMED...A KIND OF SUN THAT REFUSES TO SHINE NAKED; DRESSING ITSELF UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH THAT COLD AND WHITE MOON...
Read you somewhere, saying people bitching about your gap?! Those are the ones w/da gap.. in their brains. First off, that gap is one of the cutest things about youi. Secondly, everything, and i mean everything about you, the way you think, play, speak, move, just your whole being defines beauty. From now on people are gonna go to the dentist to get a gap. Forget about US pop culture, YOU are US culture at its best... xx Change only.. nothing.
My friend! Stop reading UA-cam comments and live your life, like she says! And stop writing them too. No one's going to read them. ... What am I even doing with my life?
DUDE, i just heard the song "12 little spells" on the radio the other day, having no idea of her work and I immediately thought "Hmm, this is awesome and it sounds like she did her homework on Zappa". Seems like I wasn't wrong haha

I love Esperanza's music. Particularly when she is in jazz mode. I stayed with this for 2 mins of the 5 and couldn't go any further. Just doesn't work for me. I will never thumbs down Esperanza, but it's not a thumbs up. Give me more "What a Friend" or "Heaven in Pennies" or "City of Roses". This doesn't work.
She's on her own level. There's no one who goes from classy jazz sounds to prog/experimental stuff like her
Yeah this is pretty awesome and unique. I usually don't listen to either pure jazz or pure prog but when i heard this album i immediately knew that this is some standout stuff
Yeah, shes on the same Plateau as Zappa for me. That's a place no one else in mind shares. She's beyond words 🤣
This woman is revolutionary. Bow down. 💕👏🏿👏🏿
I dig her sooooooo much! Phenomenal!

"Have you prayed to your phone today?" That's good.
This album is the most mind-blowing thing I have seen or heard in so many years.
“You are trying to avoid yourself” ah love this reality check, or reality questioning. Thank you ❤️
“Your search for help did not match any documents. Suggestion… try asking the one you are trying to avoid-yourself.”

I like how she's always pushing at her boundaries
Wow, how does this not have a ton of views?
I'm sayin!
because it requires too much thinking..
It happens to many geniuses, especially in the art world.
I have asked myself that many times. People are missing a lot.
Coz it's music that represents high creativity and excellence
love this woman
One of the most popular and lovable songs of all time
HOW DOESN'T THIS HAVE MORE VIEWS?????? HIGH LEVEL.
Couldn't agree more. I don't think most people can comprehend what she's doing in this masterpiece.

This is a magnificent video, song, composition
The guitar composition on this piece is outstanding, a cross over of jazz, psych, Prog and probably more.

I'm about to check that out rn I love Knower!
I totally see what you're talking about!
If I had to guess though it's just incidental. Idk if she did that from inspiration from them...but like I said idk 🤷

Really love this. Amazing work.

Imagining a part 2 to this song about AI.
Right towards the end, there's actually a Mothers Of Invention kind of sound

This is the first time I've been injected with revolution.

B/c, you know, you are supposed to come out with good music around ya birthday...it only seems right...

I was where you are. Give it some time. REALLY listen. Once it hits, you won't be able to stop spinning it.
I couldn't agree more! I want more Radio City Esperanza!
She won me over so with Radio City that any time she evolves I can't help but trust her to go along for the ride. Mad respect.
It's on and off for me. Who knows? Maybe she'll bring back that sound in a few years. With more originality of course.
This is much more unique than some regular jazz. Everybody can do regular stuff. This? Not so many
NooxxxANDcranniesSupreme... thank you for the IS
