- Trying on my amazing "magic" EnChroma glasses for the first time over two days (1st half on day 1 at dusk, and 2nd half on day 2 around noon - Skip to about 12:15 for Day 2 where I can actually see greens for the first time clearly).
On day 1 it was a little difficult to really see the the profound difference due to the lighting.
A week later the color green continues to surprise me!
Thank you dad & mom for this amazing gift.
Thanks for recording in landscape.
Please take this man to a garden. So exciting. Thanks for sharing.
your wonderment and amazement at the world is a joy to watch.
Wow, that is some setting. The house and stone and trees. Love, love.
14:07 - "What's real?" Little girl is going deep into questions right there ...
Yes, there ARE a zillion greens, and that makes shrubbery and forests look very - intriguing and amazing.
I love this video. The little girl following her dad around on the tricycle, asking what color? And the dad is handsome!
It took a while, but the excitement of colour came in the bright light. Welcome to the world of colour! 😊
Life changer! I wish the others had been more sympathetic. 😍😍
"Are they always so different?...I mean, is that like real?"
I like to feed wild birds because I love the diversity of them and the colors of their plumage. That and it's great entertainment for my cats when I'm at work. It would be so cool watching someone see it all in color for the first time. Flowers, butterflies, birds, the difference in the color of each leaf, the colors inside each leaf, the top and bottom of each individual leaf being different, seeing a rainbow for the first time, the depth of clouds, the colors of a loved one's eyes, etc. I'm not a religious man but these glasses are a form of a miracle, even if man made.
your neighborhood is so beautiful
🗣ABOUT THAT HOUSE🔥🔥🔥,I LUV IT
those are... purple things over there. lol.
i wish i was colorblind so i could put on these glasses and get so overwhelmed with emotion that i'm lying on the ground kicking my feet in the air bawling out loud *"oh, my goooood! why, oh whyyyy is it sooo beautifullll?!?"*
becuz, you know, i'd be happy.
I appreciate the sentiment :) But please believe me that no, you don't want to be colorblind. I've tried enchroma, and they do work for me as well (and I am getting them), but I wouldn't wish it on anyone to have to rely on a pair of glasses to see the world *closer* to how most people see color.
Glad you enjoy the glasses. I am still amazed at the greens. Even though I am not colorblind..most people do not appreciate their eyes. How are you doing now with the glasses?
Still enjoying them, although my Rx recently changed so I've been without for the past few weeks. Looking forward to ordering replacements soon!
In a Ruby Murray song (Irish) there are 40 shades of green in Ireland.
Great video! I am glad for you, Joshua. :D I was waiting for the moment when you were overcome... it happens with everyone! 12:15 and on is so great.
+Bobby JK Yeah, the first half of the video was filmed near dusk, and the colors were there but not nearly as obvious. When I put them on Day 2 (at noon) it was... wait for it... like night and day ;)
I wish there could be a follow up video. I really wanted to know how things went after this 😱
I have been dealing with other (unrelated) vision issues the past few years, but I can share that I am now on my 3rd pair of EnChroma sunglasses (Rx changes), and that the effect includes longer-term neuroplasticity effects that allow me to see the different hues of greens in particular even after taking them off now.
*Have you glued them on to your face yet? :D*
haha your kid is so funny. :D *rings bell* "eh daaaad?" :D
The glasses make the greens and reds more vivid but he still sees them brownish green to us.
He does not see colors like us and never will.
It is a big step because they can see different shades but he calls red for us is still a Brownish green.
Green and red are now different for him but if we could see through his eyes they would be just different shades of brownish green.
I don't know who lives in the 2nd location but that's the NOISIEST PLACE I'VE EVER HEARD!!!!
Leslie Kendall sounds like it’s by the freeway.
25milions colours man can see actually. U are happy man!
looks like Johnny galicki(leonard hoffstetter) in there at the beginning!
A less bland environment might have been a better choice of location for trying the glasses for the first time.
This video is sad because normal visioned people around him don't know colors themselves.
They are not able to let him know what he's looking at, and having a child involved don't help
because they haven't learned color, shades, hues etc. etc.
That's how we take it for granted and never really learn to define color unless they are painters.
Honestly everyone was so insensitive, the lady in the first clip calling him a drama queen for realizing the green in the window, and down playing him realizing the beauty of a rock saying their all beautiful. In the second clip, the man could have been more engaging.. His reaction though, was the best.God bless Ally, she’s so cute 🥰
One skeptic down... 🙂
He’s the longest person to adjust so far
Hey, Josh, thanks for the video - I really appreciate that you took your time with the video, covering more than one day and setting. Mine arrived just yesterday (the x25s), and even though it was a cloudy afternoon, I couldn't stop myself from going on a walk - I was a bit underwhelmed. Which strength of lens do you get? And are you still happy with your glasses?
These are Cx25 lenses -- I have larger than normal pupils, and therefore can't tolerate very dark glasses (pupils dilate too much and everything gets blurry). I, too, was underwhelmed on day 1 with the clouds, but as you can see day 2 (in the sun) was a completely different experience. I found that they grew on me over the first few weeks and then tapered off. I now absolutely love them, although am also used to them (no more tears ;p ), but occasionally still get caught off guard at the different types of green out there!
I hope you have a similar experience (although, if not, they do have a nice return policy).
LMFAO that kid is hilarious.
I have to shake y head a bit, lol…. All these people wore beige, black white… they should have worn lots of different colors plus blown up the balloons. Kind of disappointing since this is for COLORblind.
