İbrahim of Parga bows his knee to Sultan Suleiman and waits to to learn his mistake. Sultan Suleiman offers İbrahim something that surprises him. İbrahim has to make a decision... Hürrem and Mahidevran face with each other... Mahidevran lashes out on entertainment layed by Hürrem. Someone unexpected intervenes in their argument. Everything gets smoother in harem with that person's arrival. Things get complicated about state governance. Piri Pasha resigns being a grand vizier and Ahmed Pasha thinks that he should be at that position considering his rank. However, Sultan Suleiman makes a surprising decision and Ahmed Pasha thinks that decision is unfair. İbrahim learns that Mehmet Çelebi is ill and provides that Sultana gets that information. Sultana gets worried that Hatice would lose his husband once again and explains it to Sultan Suleiman. However, Suleiman doesn't give her satisfactory answer.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Notice that Ibrahim always runs away instead of talking directly to Suleiman, facing the difficult conversation with his head raised, like a man. Now, instead of being brave and directly telling Suleiman about Hatice, Ibrahim runs away. Later, when his betrayal with Nigar becomes known, he will run away again, just so as not to speak directly to Suleiman. There was another escape when Mustafa, a fifteen-year-old boy, had to go and persuade an adult man to pull himself together and come. He is not afraid to beat the servants and yell at them, but he is too weak and cowardly to speak frankly with Suleiman

The Sultans body language is way off with Mahidevran, he's truly not into her.

@bunsterj They had to be freshly bathed, wearing their nicest clothes, if the Sultan had a favourite dress on a concubine he might request that be the one she wears, their hair had to be styled beautifully, prayers may have been prayed, jewellery and perfume, make-up, and that's just the direct lead up. The interests the imperial concubines were allowed to pursue were also a major part of their training to please the Sultan.

I don’t like the Sultana Valide, she is nasty and evil.
The Valide is constantly trying to correct Hürrems behaviour by only allowing her into her presence when she is behaving in a pleasing manner unless she needs to deal directly with Hürrem when she's angry with her.

No, can you imagine how strange and selfish the son of Piri Pasha is? He is sick with a contagious disease, the probability of his death is quite high, but he still wants to marry Hatice. He apparently doesn’t care that he can infect her. Of course, he was sick and continued to teach Mustafa and he didn’t care that he could infect the child

1:01:43 I understand Hatice won't want to tell her brother about Ibrahim but can she not at least tell him that she does not want to get married to Celebi or anyone for that matter. Or is it forbidden and compulsory for women to have gotten married back then? The problem is now she is making them believe that she is upset and concerned about Celebi with her responses when in actual fact it is the opposite and the impossibility of her and Ibrahim's love.
