For me, and for a lot of amateur players, errors primarily come from one thing : Effort/conditioning. When I start to get tired, I stop moving my feet as much. That's when it all starts to crumble.
I've been feeling off on my forehand for a few days and the knowledge you drop on your videos is all i need. Thank you so much for shaping me into me the player i am today by your hardwork, dedication and wisdom. Wish you all the best, Coach!
Appreciate the content . Making errors is an unsepratable part of the game , we can't stop making errors, but we can force our opponents making more errors rather than us !
Love your content - very clear, straightforward, actionable advice. You asked for suggestions about other videos. It would be great if you could do a video on how to play effective mini-tennis for warmup? Also, a video on how to hit a good neutral ball to start a rally (harder than it looks!)? Thanks again.
The most important part imo is actually the racket head acceleration to keep high spin, too many times do I see players slow down to hit the ball higher
Excellent series. Am a happy paid subscriber. Particularly appreciate the no-nonsense style, practical advice, structured lesson format, and ample demonstration.
Great video guys! It must be challenging to play on the grass court you boys are on. Your top spins actually bounce lower; I can't imagine how effective back spin slices can be. I would love to see a lesson where you guys talk about this court and apply your knowledge about this in correlation to foot work, techniques etc. Cheers!
Excellent video chaps! Beautifully shot, edited and narrated. It looks like a BBC report! I love how how you keep improving every aspect of the production and tuition. Congratulations!
With average rally length recreational to pro being 4 shots, it's best to practice serves, serve returns, serve +1 and serve return +1. A great lesson would be how to pressure opponents' weak second serves in both singles and doubles. Also, how to target serve placement and spin if you can't hit a fast, powerful serve. Thanks for all your great lessons.
Another great training video thanks... I could watch this video 100 times and I'd still be making errors. A few years ago I started to analyze my most common error - I wasn't hitting down the line, I was aiming towards the corners and it was a high risk shot. In time I corrected that error, and then I analyzed the next most common error - for me it was D/faults. My point is, I don't think I (we) can stop making errors, all I look to do now is recognize the error category and know what I should do differently.
This is the video I needed. Will practice more on hitting with hight and getting low and staying low with thebracket. Too many times in the rally I hit the ball into the net, not getting the racket low enough and then hitting across the ball. Or not enough spin to keep it in and it actually goes long even though I didn't hit the ball with much pace. I'm so loose and hit so well in the warm up then completely loose it in the match. I don't know how to stay as loose in the match as in warm up or get out of my head when I miss shots. Ugh! Thanks.
@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Yes of course, I have many questions in my head :) 1) Differences between left side serve and right side: how to hit external or T 2) My first serve is very strong but it ends up to the net almost always. How can I improve it? 3) I spend a lot of energy in a short time rather my opponent. How can I improve my tennis so I can run less than him and keep my mind more clear? 4) My one hand backhand is good in practice but awful during the match. I think I have a problem to figure out the right timing with fast balls These are my suggestions for some videos :)
Great content again. I have an aggressive mindset. Probably hyper aggressive. I will always get sucked into a lull with pushers and will self implode. Do you have any suggestions for me to keep my game and not play my opponent’s?
Move them around, be patient, give yourself a good margin for error, don't let your footwork deteriorate and be the reason you lose points (wow, it's like talking to myself!).
Power player. The older I get, more often I have to play younger players... I need to shorten points. I could downgrade and play slower, less fit adversaries... should I?
I don't know after 6 months of complete inactivity due to shut down, I'm trying to recover functionality and basic strokes without getting injured. Our coaches r not the best so it's basically through vids such as these that I'm hoping to be able to recover my pre pandemic shape but that'll be a long road, I think.
@@FollowingNamePolicy I've been there... I hit what I think is a winner against a college age opponent and they show no respect, they get to the ball and wip a passing shot past me... The 'old days' of point construction don't work anymore. At least, I'm out on court still enjoying my tennis and I won't ever play age group tennis. 😎

@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Hi, Simon. Basically every lesson you guys hold is appreciated! In these days, however, I'm going in depth about the Drop Shot, experimenting the difference between a long drop and a very short drop, one that literally dies near the net; in particular, I noticed (also by learning from the pros) that, if you want to perform the latter in an effective way, you have to let the racket head sag, let it go down towards the ground. That way, you'll have both a short drop and a nice spin. Maybe a recap on the drop would be nice anyway, since a lot of people and teachers confuse the dropshot with the standard back...
