In this step-by-step UA-cam short tutorial I will show you how to outline your drawings in Procreate. This simple white outline is perfect for creating stickers in Procreate and a great way to add a POP to your digital illustrations. All you need is the Procreate app, an iPad, and a photo that you would like to use.

Took me many tries but after learning the hard way it needs to be the clean, flattened image/drawing, it worked fantastically-- saved some major headache!

I'm following step by step but for some reason it's not working for me, I'm not sure if it's the blur or filled layer, any ideas on what I could be doing wrong? Thank you
Yeah it doesn’t work for me either when I get to the selection step for me towards the end :(
You need to tap the inside the white, and also below the automatic make sure to select fill in. Also an easy way, after duplicate > alpha lock > fill layer > turn off alpha lock back > gaussian blur > automatic (with fill in option and tap inside the white), this way you dont need 3 layers, just do all the step on the same layer you duplicated.

Holy ever loving hell thank you. I've been having a breakdown of how to do this for stickers because every maker has to have an outline or vector and no one could explain how to do it. Just saved hours of by hand work
Oh definitely! I’ve always been curious on how people do outlines when drawings and I’ve been doing it by hand for years and it got so frustrating and tedious that I gave up. This short was super quick though I keep forgetting how to do this and having to rewatch this haha.

You might get leftovers of Gaussian Blur. To fix that, after selection create a new layer and tap fill layer. Then delete both the alpha layer and the blur layer.

Why is Alphalock not an option in my menu? I only have Rename, Select, Copy, Mask, Clipping Mask, Edit Text, Rasterize, Reference, Merge Down, Combine Down
When i try doing thr selection it only selects little pixles at a time but im following everhthing. It worked for a different sticker so im not sure why it wont work this time 😩
