I was born in 1975 so I've never been alive while Bruce Lee was alive. Yet I grew up with a poster of Bruce holding the Nunchaku in The Chinese Connection first Japanese school fight scene. I spent countless hours back and forth staring at that poster and the book The Making of Enter the Dragon. What I wouldn't have given for just one more big budget American production film from a Living Bruce(unlike Game of Death) to go along with Enter the Dragon. Although I lived through the resurgence of Martial Arts films in the late 80's and early 90's with Steven Seagal, Jean Claude, and other minor characters, it just never captured my imagination like Bruce's films. It's so mind blowing to think that a man who died before I was even born left so much of an influence, impression, and inspiration on my life. If there is another side of this coin we call life, I hope one day I get to thank Bruce for being such a major part in making my childhood so wonderful and filled with imagination.
You mister stripey are the only very respectful and very informative guy I listen to on ytube I totally get you understanding of Bruce and his films to other idiots that want to put you down they are not wired up right your the best and thousands of your subscribers know that when I first saw enter back in 1973 I was in ore of Bruce I watch enter the dragon still to this day I'm 66yrs in 1973 I was 15 I still get excited to watch enter the dragon today respect to you stripey and (I shall be worthy of your sense of granjua) keep on with the very informative information on Mr Lee you Sir are the Best!!!!!!

I cant understand why Bruce didnt continue under the direction of lo wei and Raymond chow- Maybe even Run Run celluloid+money. Great channel
The reason why Roper fought Bolo, was (as many of you know,) Williams was originally the character to survive. Roper was to be killed. As Saxon had the most "Star" "clout" on the project, he insisted that HE survive...hence, as the Bolo fight happens AFTER Williams is killed, Roper fights Bolo. Thats why. Nothing "politically correct" about it.
I’m amazed at how many people try to cut Bruce down saying he was overrated. 1- He never fought non contact tournaments. That’s because he was an all out fighter. 2- He didn’t beat the speed contest with Vic Moore because he was suppose to hit him and never came close. That’s because it’s a demonstration or else he would have really damaged him. But these are just two of the comments they deliver about knocking Bruce down but there’s no knock down. Last is you say he was so good did you ever witness any of his fights. No but the word from those who knew him sparred with him and witnessed his fights carry more weight then those who didn’t.

The only soundtrack albums of Bruce’s films are Enter the Dragon and Game of Death, both vinyl
His others are just up for stupid prices
But I do live in hope they’ll turn up in a charity shop or a car boot sale

First of all let me say that I love the interview with the KFG it was on point! Also I have been a Bruce Lee fan since 66 and have been a martial artist since 62 when I was 7 years old and now hold the title of Grandmaster! With that said here is my question do you think that we will ever get a definitive answer to what caused Bruce’s death? And is it that doctors have been studying the cause of his death as part of a medical study and in hopes to find how a cerebral edema can be treated? Keep up the good work I truly enjoy your videos Ush!

Regarding your question, there are many theories on what happened on July 20th 1973, for me Bruce, taking an equagesic (that he had taken before & was fine) does not seem feasible, but, that's the official story.
I'd like to know definitively what happened that day & on May 10th 73.

@@StripeyR thank you for your reply, I truly appreciate it, as I mentioned before that Bruce Lee’s cause of has been studied by medical experts who have been studying the cause of cerebral edema which has been linked to heat stroke and drugs now I know that he was using cocaine and cannabis, but I don’t think he was using it to the degree that would make him a addict in my opinion I think he was using them for medical purposes for pain because of his bad back now that to say that he didn’t use them for recreational purposes but I don’t think he was addicted. Also the autopsy report shows that there only a small amount of cannabis in his stomach and no other drugs were found in his system,Matthew Polly’s theory may be partially true because what I have read in this medical journal that mentioned Bruce’s case, that he had all the symptoms that other athletes had when they died of the very same thing. Well Stripey looks like I’m rambling on, but hey I think we should not dwell on his death so much but rather what he left to world! Again thank you Stripey can’t wait for the next video,yours truly

If possible I'd like to know his thoughts on Bruce as a fighter. Being a fighter himself, I'd like to know what he thinks of Bruce working the bag in the back yard footage, as I've read a lot of ( I beleive unfounded) put downs on his skill.

Hello Stripey I was looking through the web the other day and there's a interview with David Carridine he was saying that the TV show Kung Fu did more for Martial Arts than Bruce Lee

There is not doubt, the Kung Fu TV show was very successful, & it probably did inspire people to take up martial Arts, But, how many people are still talking about that show these days, compared to Bruce, & how many people had David Carridine posters on their wall as opposed to Bruce Lee? I think we know the answer 😉👍

Hi stripey I have just purchased the 2 disc 4k of Way of the Dragon from hmv . It says the second disc Blu-ray is the final game of death 200 mins or so. But when opened it is the legend of Bruce lee documentaries. Have I got the wrong disc ? If so can i get HMV to replace , By the way I love your Bruce lee vlogs .

@5:55 I think I disagree with that comment. Roper beat up Bolo because that's the theme MA is about; that it doesn't matter that you're a huge ass giant and skilled like Bolo, a more slender fellow who is athletic enough can beat a giant if higher skill + strategy (but you definitely need to be really strong, that's why I say "athletic enough").
And Lee was always going to beat O'Hara weather he was white or not, as O'Hara was originally an Asian character.
Ask Steve if he knows about Bruce on TV where a ninja in the crowd offering Bruce out and when he bond Bruce kicked him in the face also another time a old guy in a stance saying break my Stance to some people they couldn't Bruce steps up and punchies him on the nose both chases blood everywhere a freind of mine says decades ago he had a video of it don't know where he is now😊

I too would love to have all the soundtracks on vinyl or CD, my sister had the entire films words, screams, punches etc as well as the music on vinyl unfortunately she no longer has them.
Wouldn't it be great if these were re-released.
As to the Kung Fu monthly mags, that would be great to see if you can get them.
