If water beading longevity is all you're concerned with, the Griot's 3 in 1 ceramic will beat most all competitors. ScottHD's channel, and his extreme long term testing, proved this. And I've tested many waxes myself. But,I don't wait 4+ months, and 12 washes, before I'm going to wax my car! So if you really care about your car's appearance. And if you want the most for your car when you're going to sell it later, you should be doing more than just waxing it every four months or more. I have both used the Turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic spray, and the Griot's 3 in 1 ceramic. The Griot's does last longer. Here's the thing. I moved from San Jose Ca.,to Port Orange Florida. It rains here all the time! And it's hotter, and insanely humid. The Griots 3 in 1 does last longer, but it makes big beads. The TW hybrid Ceramic spray ,makes small beads. The result? Griot's leaves bigger, deeper (the kind that has to be machine polished out) water marks. Also, the Griots 3 in 1,because of the humidity here,is prone to more gummy, hard to get out, streaking. So,I'm using the Turtle Wax more than the Griot's now, especially on the hood, roof, and trunk lid, where water spots are more likely to etch into the paint. I wish there was a wax that could prevent water spots.I haven't found one yet. But according to many reviews from pro detailers, what makes the Turtle Wax Max Graphene woth the price? Not longevity! Gloss and depth. Proven with gloss meter readings. Now I'm thinking about trying the TW graphene max liquid wax. Not for longevity. But I've seen other test and noticed very tight, small, water beads, like the Hybrid ceramic spray. And from my experience,I'd say the TW ceramic spray is slightly glossier the than Griot's 3 in 1. The TW graphene Max is even more. And since I have 3 Da buffers and a huge assortment of foam, microfiber, and wool, pads, using them with the TW graphene Max shouldn't be a problem. But it's the gloss level and depth that separates the TW graphene Max wax from many other competitors. Not longevity.

Nice feedback bro! using the TW Hybrid for now which I apply when I get a chance to wash. It still amazed me of the slickness especially when I randomly touch the panels 😂. We do plenty of OR in the desert, so the next day all i do is pressure wash and move on 😂 I was going to try the Griots 3in1 but just might hold and get the flex wax instead. I’m in San Diego been raining here.

I don’t expect any product including many ceramic coatings to go over 4 months without any care and then just bounce back as good as new. Other UA-camrs have had much better results with these products when properly maintained. Jamie said in the beginning that the truck was supposed to come back several times but couldn’t make it for one reason or another.

Did you decontaminate the trucks paint first before applying the wax? For it to last, it's my understanding you have to strip the paint down to the clear coat by using Dawn dish soap as a wash, then remove any iron from the surface, then clay the surface, then polish with the Pro 1 & Done Compound, then use an alcohol based prep spray like Gyeon to remove any oils or other residue left behind by the compound. This way once you add the wax, you are putting it directly on clean stripped clearcoat which allows the wax to bond with the surface. Pan the Organizer did a 7 month durability test after using this method and it still held up in real world conditions with excellent beading and sheeting. It kind of made sense when you think about all the crap that bonds to a cars paint. Makes me think of painting without prepping the surface first, the paint will not adhere to the surface as long, eventually peeling off and rusting. I actually experienced this when I worked as a deckhand on a ship in the Gulf of Mexico. My job was to remove rust, prep the bare metal with a solution that stops the chemical properties of the rust, then I primed that clean prepped metal surface, then painted it according to the paint manufacturers (Ameron Coatings) instructions. What I discovered was the areas where my coworkers were painting did not hold up because they skipped all the proper prep which I did and everywhere I painted was well protected and held up much longer. I was having to come behind them and do it right and then we never had to touch those areas again for a long time. I think sometimes we want to skip important steps because it involves more work, then we don't get the results we'd like. I'm just saying that Pans test showed better longevity after he properly prepared the car before using Flex Wax. I'll cross my fingers and hope following Pan's lead will bring me better results than you had. I'll be trying it on two cars soon when everything arrives. I think the process matters a lot. If anyone has done all the prep I mentioned above and still not seeing longevity of Flex Wax, please reply to me with your findings so we can help each other find what works best. I hate doing this kind of work because its so time consuming, I'd rather do it right the first time.

I guess not bad for almost four months? So many variables to consider when calculating longevity. I’ve committed to just using Bead Maker for my vehicles that are parked outside. Pretty happy with the results doing only that. Glad to see you’re so busy in the driveway! 👍

This video is interesting. As I spent a whole day washed the car, after that used an iron remover then I used a wax stripper after that dried the car and used an orbital DA polisher to take the paint back to a virgin state after that panel wiped the car and applied a ceramic coat Getchniq the whole 9 yards I threw at it, after every wash I use a getchniq topper liquid crystal, after about the 18th month mark i notice the water is totally flat no hydrophobic action just the water laying on the hood totally devoid of any water bubbles. This is usually every 30 to 60 days later when I wash the car I spray the car with water as in this video and my car the water just lays flat even after applying soap then spraying with water again the water lays totally flat. The most amazing product I use is Autoglym Polar seal 4 caps or 40ml into a 200ml container sprayed all over the car and the water beading is amazing lasts a whole 30 days then you apply again. I can see the to the flex wax application a good addition to my arsenal of cleaning prep I doubt I would ever use a ceramic coating ever again my ceramic coating is on the car as you can see and feel the slickness it simply is not beading so the Autoglym polar seal is the best product I have used to date I can see me using the flex wax as a drying aid or a panel wipe down after drying the car to top it off bound to do no harm and will save me buying the crystal c2 v3 liquid cerum.
Thanks to the uploader for his honesty as I was going to buy the wax to the max as well as s the flex wax but I know know as advised in the video all I need is the flex wax so a big thanks you to the uploader on his observations been a real help in my buying decision.

Did you happen to polish to make sure nothing was still on the paint?
I ask because if you had some protection on it then applied the Max it's possible the protection under the Max failed causing the last step to fail.
I know another detailer who applied the TW Max and still going at 6 months.
I applied the TW Max to my wife's car today and found it to be extremely slick and offered gloss.
Thinking of introducing it at my shop as a wax package which we do little of.
We do a lot of ceramic coatings and sealants, been using Wolfgang Paint Sealant 3.0 which I get 10 months easy.
    Thanks

Yeah did a quick Polish idk why it preformed so poorly in this test but this was a daily driver that hadn’t been washed since application so definitely heavy neglect. Hey you only did one coat of each right? Even though the instructions aren't clear on the back I heard just like the turtle wax ceramic hybrid you should do 2 coats 24hrs apart to get the best and longest result.
I used the ceramic hybrid with 2 coats and every 2 to 3months used the ceramic pro refresh wash soap and it actually lasted on my paint for a year. I just got the flex wax graphene I'm hoping when I apply it I can get those same results as the ceramic pro or it's a waste of money and best to stick to their ceramic hybrid line up instead

When are folks gonna stop making excuses for these 2 products. They’re not good. They’re 3 month products at best. They start off very glossy and extremely slick and quickly deteriorate. Their paste wax with Graphene is just as bad. TW should’ve stopped with their Hybrid Solutions ceramic spray and Seal N Shine, both of those are WAYYYY better than these last 3 products. Thanks for confirming and reaffirming what I already suspected.

I have the same impression. I think they are ok.....but they just don't last that long. If they lasted at least 6 months, they would be worth the price. Same for 303 graphene spray. I couldn't get either of them to go beyond 3 months.

    • @BetterThanNewDetailing
      @BetterThanNewDetailing 3 роки тому +1

@@a.r.walker6255 the 303 is an odd product. It’s very tacky when you apply it. After about a week though the gloss comes thru and it’s a little slicker. I put it on a Jeep 8 months ago and the Jeep stays outside 24/7 and the gloss and protection on the sides and back is still there. However the hood and roof protection was gone after 3 months.
I got carried away the the supreme slickness that TW Max Wax and Flex Wax offer...but neither of them are very good long term, maybe 3 to 4 months tops. I actually think the Flex Wax would be a good monthly topper.

Not making excuses for TW but why would anyone not want to do at least some sort of refresh by or before 3 months? Why even bother to work your vehicle if u r going to put a ton of effort into it then let it go for 3 months? Additionally, bringing in all the variables of vehicle exposure.- storage and environment... They ALL have a claim of endurance that says "up to..." My Car is a daily and sits outside 24-7. I don't give a crap what I put on it mother nature does her best to undo all of my elbow grease. If you want endurance and no maintenance try a high-end ceramic coating or inexpensive Seal&Shine. Walk away forget it - good luck. Not ragging the review at all - he's running an experiment. There are other complaints that the stuff does doesn't hold up. Some of us like SOME endurance and a lot of shine... in that respect perhaps the new TW Graphenes AND Paste are at their best. They have been for me.

Expectations are in the eye of the beholder. Durability (for me) is not the priority as much as shine. I've found the TW Graphene line to be fairly durable for non-garaged vehicles (Mother Nature always wins) but the gloss and appearance have been excellent. The paste on my flat red paint has been fab. Good vids man...we all have our perspectives on what and how stuff should perform. At the end of the day - diligent maintenance is the key.

I had to use the manufacturer recommended damp cloth method to clean up the streaking, and I still doubt I got it all.

I put this "Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Pro To The Max Wax" on my brand new Tesla model 3.
Tried on one panel section, applied, wipe wet micro fiber towel, buffed dry micro fiber towel: shiny and very very slick. Then applied to the whole car happily. Then applied to my Camry. Both cars looked sparkle and slick.
I left the car in the garage for a full day. The next day it had dust attracted to it.
When wiped the dust with my finger it leaves serious swirl marks on the paint, even at places where there is no dust.
Then I waited another half day and washed the Model 3. To my surprise the slickness is gone.
I feel really stupid for trusting advertisers on UA-cam. Many of them.
I ruined my 3 days old Tesla Model 3 AWD.
