Been loving your channel. You are very relatable and down to earth. As a guy who remembers the golden area of the late 90s/early 2000s its inspirational to see you getting back out there. Hope you see 100k subs!
I appreciate that. Going to keep on pumpin vids and parts...never know...maybe that 100k may come some day! Just getting to 12.4k has been a ton of work...lol. Making vids is pretty fun though...and I really want to increase the frequency if I can.
your first autocross? wow. My first autocross (a veteran of TWO events now) ... I was just wide eye'd. You have a lot of analysis, which is great. Clearly you've been in motorsports ... so your first autocross isn't quite as novice as mine. 01 C5Z here. You're right, it's a BLAST! I think it hones those driving skills big time and you learn the dimensions of your car MUCH better. I still have much to learn and upon which to improve ... but it's fun. So far ... with a couple autocrosses and a few "parade laps" on a track ... she drove in and drove out.
Yeah, I did my first track events in 2009 and was pretty steady through 2012 before it got a bit scattered. I still did events here and there but never autocrossed. Looking back to those dry periods, I regret not trying autocross sooner.
I'm hype to see those new lights on your car, they look sexy. I have C6 Z06 brakes on my C5 also and you're right, the difference is night and day! Except the aftermarket Hawk pads squeak when they get warmed up LOL, any suggestions to quiet them down?
Track pads are a sound you have to learn to love. It's certainly possible the brakes weren't bedded properly also, which can lead to undesirable squeal. Proper bedding is critical for pad performance and noise. That said, aggressive track grade pads will always make noise when they're up to temp.
I designed a bunch of Corvette shirts years ago (2016). I have some new and old designs...thats a 2016 shirt. The later C6 one is more recent. I want to get the apparel line going more, so itll be in there.
Totally understand you on wanting to get back in shape bro. Ever since I was hit by that drunk driver I’ve put on weight and just hate it. I miss being able to do anything without breathing hard or not breaking a sweat hahaha. But we understand man no worries. Your health is most important at the end of the day! Stay safe and healthy my friend! P.S. those version 2 headlights look killer. Love the look.
Take a water sprayer for the Yokes! I used those last year and once they get hot they get greasy (slick). Watch out on the front passenger tire, that tire will get hotter than the rest due to a couple factors. If the ground is damp, the Yokes are also great in that! Standing water is were they will not be a good choice. I’m lucky, I race in the NRSCCA in Lincoln, Nebraska, which is the national site.
Really nice to see the new headlights. can't wait to see them on the car. I do like the OG look with the squares but that looks promising as well; especially if you can go even lower with the opening height.
awesome man, i cant wait to try some auto x as soon as i am done fighting this car.... i need those camber plates too . have you scoped your bores? i gotta get back to exercise myself really fell off as soon as i got car back but ill settle back into it. really need to quit smoking but one thing at a time.
they are a bitch, need to get back to running and working out had it slowed down pretty good for awhile but old habits and idle time makes for bad choices. thanks for the vote of confidence
Been driving my c5z in CAM-S. About 4 years. It's a fantastic car, even in the tighter courses. Glad to see you doing content on it and will tune in for updates. About to pull the trigger on the camber plates from AMT.
March 13th is the next one I am attending. Hoping to have the car in order. Also doing track day at LV Motor Speedway April 16th with Speed Ventures. Have to check motorsport.reg
More more more! Love it

Great video! Where did you get that Z06 t-shirt you’re wearing in the beginning of the video?
