when we lived in Puerto Vallarta, we installed a simple carbon filter inline for cold water under the kitchen sink. It is easy and costs about all together $50 USD. A new filter every 6 months is about $15. Less expensive and healthier than water delivered in plastic large bottles which is nothing else but filtered city water. This way we even washed and rinsed all the ingredients and dishes in filtered water. In 18 years full time in Mexico we never got sick. But the secret is also in... eating hot peppers and hot salsas with every meal.
I saw a video last week of all the human manure being pushed into the ocean. It was right off the main drag in Puerto Vallarta. Until that problem is addressed there is no clean water.
@@victoriaallen8271 mmm...sounds like a fake news or distorted source, if that's true how can be the 6th most visited country??!!...invent something better and realistic.
If you distill the water then carbon filter, yes. Mexico is the tenth worst country for waste treatment and water quality. No wonder it's so cheap. No one would live there if they understood the infrastructure or lack of infrastructure.
Could you use a store bought water purifer is ZeroWater to make it safe
By the most expensive and the most evolved by the best absolute best best best filter on the planet don't f*** with the water if you want to live

I literally almost died
I lived there for the first eight years of my life until we moved to Minnesota
Tequila should be safe.
I was born in Mexico and my father always told me never to drink the water and of course I disobeyed him because that's what kids do
I lived in the city
I almost died because I always drink the water
...im in mexico now and brought my Brita water filter jar with me. Would you still trust it being filtered??
Really is the brain eating amoba in the tap I heard the tap water uses lake water which is where they live
At a restaurant, is there a nice way to ask if the ice in the drinks is from a filtered source, without offending anybody??
I had to have a doctor come to my house and take care me
Does it also come with asbestos 😅
No, of course not, that's in the houses themselves. but don't worry, my mom lived her chidhood in an asbestos-coated home and she's fine.
Is tap water safe to drink if you boil it first?

@@victoriaallen8271 I would, not flushing paper into the toilets and not drinking tap water isn't that hard to get used to.
@@ChupacabraRex no
Well just recently visited Mexico, I did have a shake from the gym and they did use the tap water. No lie I’ve been so sick for the past three days.
how long did it take for you to start to feel bad and how long did it take to get better?
