I actually noticed that Alastor initiates physical contact with a lot of people in the series, especially the women. He supposedly dislikes physical touch but he initiates hugs with Charlie, Nifty, Mimzie and Rosie and initiates a handshake with Lucifer. He also puts his hand on Charlie's shoulder in an affectionate manner in the Dad Beat Dad episode and doesn't seem to mind when she puts her hand on his in response. I did notice that Rosie and Mimzie have a little hug ritual that they do with him where they're holding their arms out as they approach so there's plenty of warning before the hug is actually given.
great analysis once again! the hypocrisy described in mimzy's speech is super interesting, and the way you broke it down was easily understandable and entertaining!
Isn't it really weird that Alastor doesn't have an angelic weapon at all? I mean he's prideful and arrogant obviously but he's not stupid, he doesn't have a death wish and he isn't shown to be above underhanded tactics. There's no way he thinks he can hurt Adam without angelic power and there's no way he actually thinks he can't defeat Adam either, and even if he was just there for distraction why doesn't he have an angelic weapon for self-protection? Unless he has some sort of access to angelic power that the other residents of the hotel and the audience aren't aware of, maybe because of his presumed deal with Lilith? Idk it just seemed like a strange detail to me, for such a cunning and manipulative character to overlook.
who's backstory do you want to see next in the show?
i'm personally going for niffty.. 👀
niffty would be cool but ANGEL THO
weirdly enough, i'd like to see some MORE alastor backstory (as in his human life)

Great analysis. I hope we get more episodes in season 2 so the explanations aren’t so rushed
Alastor drinks his respect women juice
