BCS 780HY Hydrostatic Flail

The BCS 780HY hydrostatic flail is an excellent combination of power unit and implement, as the continuously variable drive allows the operator to work at their ideal speed for cutting dense vegetation and overgrown areas. The flail itself features an overlapping blade pattern so that nothing is missed and its efficient discharge ensures that the flail never becomes clogged.

I have been out knocking down thick vegetation with our 85cm Berta flail on the 740 machine again recently. I'm very happy with the results. I didn't feel I could justify the cost of the hydrostatic drive and have developed techniques to avoid issues with running at a fixed speed - mainly by varying the size of the bite into the vegetation I'm taking.
