Many thanks for posting. I hope I never need to dig this far into my BCS740 but I really like to look at what I'm driving anyway as I think it really helps in avoiding inadvertent damage and wear. I now understand how it works both as a clutch and as a brake. Very clever.
Hi Colin. Thank you for taking the time to comment. We're so glad that you found the video useful, albeit not necessarily in the way we intended 😂. We are working on adding more service videos, so hopefully there will be some more uploaded in the near future! If you're subscribed to our channel then you'll get notifications when we post new videos. Thanks again.
@@tracmasterltd Many thanks indeed for the reply. I have subscribed and look forward to any new videos you make. I wonder if you could help me regarding the preferred transmission oil when I come to replace it. I have seen instructions suggesting the use of a GL5 85W/90 hypoid gear oil but also have a copy of BCS service bulletin 2-22-2016 that suggests, for PowerSafe clutch equipped models, a whole list of possible lubricants all of which are Universal Tractor Transmission oils such as John Deere JDM J 20C. Can you please tell me what you would use.
Thankyou so much coukd I ask an info about my bcs740? It os brand new and it os really hard to change speed even with engine at low rpm...after shift goes tactor works well...is it normal and should I adjust clutch? Regards
The machines can be a little stiff when they are new, and once they are "bedded in" any stiffness should ease up. We would not recommend making any adjustments at this stage. However, if the problem persists you should contact the supplier of your machine for some advice. I hope that helps.
Hello, in answer to your question, for the PowerSafe gearbox we recommend UTTO Oil (10W/30) for the standard PowerSafe units, or for the hydrostatic machines a 15W/40 oil.
So I have a 750 diesel apron reciting it instructions said to use gear oil then got the updated bulletin that hytrans should be used should I be doing this Or should I get away with flushing with diesel ?.
Hi Bruce. We recommend using either 80W/90 GL5 oil or a universal tractor oil - both are equally suitable for the PowerSafe units. Diesel should never be used in the gearbox.
What are the indications that the clutch needs to be serviced? Typically how many hours of use will it be before the clutch needs to be serviced? Does the need for servicing become necessary More Often by operator error? Is the Locking pin the only part that needs to be replaced or is it reused?
Hi Dave. Thanks for your question. The most important thing with the PowerSafe clutch is to keep on top of your filter and oil changes. This normally prevents you from having to take the clutch apart to clean it. Typically, oil changes should be done once a year or every 100 hours (whichever is soonest). You would only really need to take the clutch apart to clean it if after doing your service, you still had reduced performance. I hope that helps.

This is the first we have done but we will be doing more shortly and we'll upload them as they're produced. Was there anything in particular you were looking for? In the meantime, we hope you find this useful.
We have some issues with powersafe clutch flange particularly with pump gears, pump cover. many times we are gacing oil pressure problems to operate clutch working in powersafe models.thanks.

Thank you exactly what I wanted to know. Is there a good engine hour meter to attach to the tiller?
