It is a 3 hour drive from Lake Tekapo to Queenstown without stop. But you will probably take a day trip to complete this as there're many scenic spots along the way and you can't help stopping to see around the most beautiful part of South Island New Zealand.

That's New Zealand winter. It's not always blue sky and sunshine. Weather changes can happen quickly during a day. It's just representing the true story:)
