Bengals fan here, I felt like the media was sleeping on the saints all offseason, they have a core of solid veterans to build around, yea the pass rush was rough last year because of injuries and departures of key players leaving, but you sign chase young and Willie gay, arguably to the 2 best defensive free agents at their positions, you draft an O-linemen in the first round, you get a west coast coordinator to help your QB thrive. All upgrades zero downgrades and last year you finished strong having a winning season that nobody talked about
Exactly the main negatives were losing some vets on the offensive line and losing MT but he was injured most of last season anyhow. That and letting Jimmy Graham retire but we rarely targeted him last season (though he was very productive when we did target him). If our offensive linemen can make it work I think we might have quite the dark horse team this season with all the downplay they've been getting for whatever reason

Yes, Carr was 19/23 with 200 yards, but ya'll are forgetting that 2 of the incompletions were on potential TD's, one was to Hill who got both hands on the ball but couldnt hold on to it, and the other was to Shaheed where the DB got his hand in there the last second. So, Carr could have had 5 TD's on 21/23 for 300+ yards
If we’re allowed to be nit pickey, that 18 yard pass over the middle to Olave should have been led more and it woulda been an easy TD. But he completed the pass regardless so it’s a win.
Thats the Carr i told you about, thats how he looked most of the time under Gruden, accurate (so much that even the incompletions were good throws), composed and willing to extend plays. Here's the thing hindsight is always 20/20. Do I think we've improved all around since last yr? Yes. Do I think it's still too early for the "I told you so"? Absolutely. If we can beat Dallas and Philly then we can start with the "I told you so"..but for right now it's way too early. We have a long season ahead. Let's not get too cocky. It's not how you start but how you finish.
it was a fun game and a great way to get the season started but we all know we're about to enter murder's row (Cowboys, Philly, Atlanta and Chiefs). Hopefully we can stay healthy and Carr can stay locked in with this new offense.
Carr looked like a different person. Yes Panthers, they are a NFL team regardless and it wasn't the stats that impressed me it was him being comfortable in the pocket. This week will be a great test! Go Saints!!!
As a Raiders fan I’m the first to say I hope the Saints win the SB and Carr wins the MVP. Not because I’m a Saints fan, but because maybe, MAYBE Mark Davis will sell the team and somebody worth it can take over.
Big Saints fan here! What I got to see was insane… however, it remains to be seen after a season with an incompetent OC like last year! It just seems to good to be true, but dude I hope I’m wrong! This was the Carr that we all expected!
What’s sad is that Derek played with multiple concussions and broken ribs last year and still managed to play as well as anyone the last several games. Hopefully he plays against the cowboys injury free.
I said for years now, why are we running in new guys every play. Defenses don't adjust to different packages anymore. We running offenses like linebackers are run heavy vs pass linebackers. Defenses got rid of those a decade ago. Lofton is no longer employed.
Derek Carr throwing 60% above what he was supposed to to supposed to throw is like me having my 70 Camaro 8 cylinder 140 mph now I got a Nissan versa 4 cylinder that goes 140 mph
James, hear me out: what if KK looked at the score halfway through the 2nd quarter saw it’s 20-0 and said to himself, we got this and put Olave on ice for the Dallas game. I mean he had 2 targets. How are the Cowboys going to prep for Chris if there’s nothing to look at from the first game. 4D chess my friend
James- vgp re Olave. I’d be happy if he scored zero tuddys this year because he’s decoying for the rest of the weapons to pile up points. Heck give him a raise! Team game and team players create wins.
Raider fan, Carr is my favorite player I've seen in my life as a fan, but everybody is beating up on the panthers this season. I hope Carr can prove my own team wrong and have a great season but I'll have to see Carr produce against competent team, hoping he can get it done though, not hating.
This is what happens when you brew a perfect storm of a new head coach & schemes, a struggling 2nd year QB, & the Panthers barely playing any of their starters in preseason & expecting to compete in an opener against your rival team that they know very well still has an elite defense, a chip on their shoulder from last season, & leave alone the fact it's the Saints whom you're playing in the Superdome of all places. That's like walking unarmed right into a Lions den and expecting to come out with all their fur unscathed. Any real football fan and not the "talking heads" all seen the Panthers headed into the chophouse for weeks.

chef james cooked with this video
Here's the thing hindsight is always 20/20. Do I think we've improved all around since last yr? Yes. Do I think it's still too early for the "I told you so"? Absolutely. If we can beat Dallas and Philly then we can start with the "I told you so"..but for right now it's way too early. We have a long season ahead. Let's not get too cocky. It's not how you start but how you finish.
The cowboys are gonna be watching your video James to prepare for week 2 lol
Thanks for calling out the media
Was not expecting such a thorough beat down 🤣 I'll take it though 🤘
it was a fun game and a great way to get the season started but we all know we're about to enter murder's row (Cowboys, Philly, Atlanta and Chiefs). Hopefully we can stay healthy and Carr can stay locked in with this new offense.
Oh boy. Here we go. I hope everyone is going to be okay on Monday.
Where can we get the all 22 ???
Carr looked like a different person. Yes Panthers, they are a NFL team regardless and it wasn't the stats that impressed me it was him being comfortable in the pocket. This week will be a great test! Go Saints!!!
James I’m worried Kubiak will be poached for a HC job elsewhere. What must we do to promote him as our HC?
Upgrade your lighting. Add another lamp to the opposite side so that you don't have shadows on your face.
Y'all should trade him back to the raiders 👀
Stick with it man. 7k follwers isnt enough. That number will grow. Your saints videos are about the only ones i can digest
He was amazing. Couldn’t believe my eyes. What a 180 my goodness. I was a hater.
Carr played great. Now let’s see if he can be consistent.
Get em James!!! Who dat!!!!
Remember last year when Gruden came to visit the Saints in the off-season... Hmmmmm.
Can’t wait to see a video after the cowboys game..
I been tried telling yall Carr was not ass like everybody said and NOBODY wanted to hear what I had to say. AND I got the receipts 🤷🏼♂️
3 vids today 💪
@@krispykremer4178 3 videos for Carr’s 3 touchdowns. EZ
One of the things I really respect about the Ohio State program is they have always emphasized the importance of blocking from their receivers.
How long is klints contract for ?
What’s sad is that Derek played with multiple concussions and broken ribs last year and still managed to play as well as anyone the last several games. Hopefully he plays against the cowboys injury free.
I said for years now, why are we running in new guys every play. Defenses don't adjust to different packages anymore. We running offenses like linebackers are run heavy vs pass linebackers. Defenses got rid of those a decade ago. Lofton is no longer employed.
I’m like number 50! 😊 I’ll take that milestone SURE! Some whodat gotta do it 😅

Pete Carmichael's head is exploding right now! 😂😂😂 you're right though, changing scheme and coordinator can make all the difference
Let's not get beside ourselves we gotta see in a few weeks how things go we did play Carolina. Dallas is the first test then Philly and KC
Thanks for the facts brother. Who Dat
